Queen Elizabeth back from Balmoral

Queen Elizabeth has returned from Balmoral.
The 90-year-old monarch headed back to Buckingham Palace yesterday (04.10.16) after a long summer break at her Scottish residence, where she entertained Prince William, Duchess Catherine and her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton among others.
Elizabeth was seen driving Catherine – who has children, Prince George, three, and 17-month-old Princess Charlotte, with William – to a family picnic just above Loch Muick.
And, also in her Range Rover, the queen was spotted driving Carole back from a grouse shoot.
A source said: "It’s very unusual for in-laws to be welcomed so warmly into the Royal Family.
"This personal invitation shows how much regard Her Majesty has for the duchess’ family. I can’t recall them staying at Balmoral before, so this is a real sign of affection."
The monarch may well be watching more TV on her Buckingham Palace return after having further satellite channels installed at the house while she was away.
A planning report recently stated: "Televisions within Buckingham Palace are fed by a signal distribution system that runs throughout the building.
"The system is now 12 years old and is to be replaced.
"We are looking to install the new satellite dishes during the summer recess when the Queen is at Balmoral."
Elizabeth is known to be a big fan of TV and counts ‘EastEnders’, ‘Midsomer Murders’ and ‘Doctor Who’ as some of her favourite programmes.
