Paddy McGuinness’ wife didn’t want him to host ‘Take Me Out’.
The 42-year-old presenter’s model spouse Christine – who is pregnant with their third child, a sibling for two-year-old twins Leo and Penelope – was convinced all the female contestants on the dating show would "want" her husband.
She laughed: "I’ll never forget the day he came home and said he was going to host a dating show with 30 single women. I said to him, ‘No you’re not, they’re all just going to want you.’ But it was too much of an opportunity to miss hosting a show on Saturday night on ITV. He loves it and all the girls know he’s off the market."
And Christine admits she is much more jealous of the outfits the contestants wear than the attention they give her husband.
Asked if they get jealous, she said: "No, I get jealous that all the girls get to dress up while I sit at home in my pyjamas with cake and a baby monitor.
"And I don’t go anywhere for men to approach me, so he’s got nothing to worry about."
The 28-year-old beauty also helps her husband write his jokes and insists she is the "brains" behind his gags.
She told OK! magazine: "I give him loads [of jokes]. He’s just done a stand-up comedy tour and when I went to watch, I was like, ‘That’s my gag’. I’m the funny one in the relationship, he’s the performer and I’m the brains."
