Antonio Banderas: Fighting comes naturally for him

Antonio Banderas says fighting comes "naturally" for him.
The 53-year-old actor who plays Galgo in 'The Expendables 3' insists it was easy for him to slip into character and his love of sport helps in these action roles which require "certain abilities".
Talking to collider.com, he explained: "I have a rifle, and I use a lot of fighting skills that I learned years ago. I tried to do as much as I could. I have certain abilities. I think I am good in the department of body language and fighting, and stuff like that. It's just natural to me, maybe because I love sports. As long as you have a good choreographer for that, and we did, it's relatively easy to get into that world, for me."
Banderas admits he questions the roles he gets as he ages but, at the same time, he enjoys taking on the challenge.
He added: "You have to be in good shape, basically. And then, you have to have a certain craziness, if you're going to do some of the action things. I did something that I shouldn't have done. I'm in my 60s now, and just running almost 50 meters with explosives going on, it was kind of like, 'Oh, my god! What am I doing here?' The whole entire building was shaking, and stuff like that. But, you do it. At the same time, I just wanna do it if I have the possibility of laughing a little bit at myself."

Stanley Tucci loves doing animations

Stanley Tucci "loves" doing animation films since he doesn't have to wear make-up.
The 53-year-old actor - who was catapulted to the spotlight following his performance in 2009's 'The Lovely Bones' - lends his voice to the Japanese drama 'The Wind Rises' and insists he enjoys working on animated adventures because they avoid the hassles screen actors have to endure.
He explained: "I love doing animated films. It's fun because you don't really have to wear make-up, stand out in the cold or go too far away from home. So it's really fun. And you get to play like you're a kid again. But I also looked at the film and found it so beautiful. It was such an interesting story and I wanted to be involved in it."
Tucci - who has three kids with first wife, the late Kathryn Tucci, and is now married to Felicity Blunt - especially enjoys making family-friendly films since they're becoming a rarity.
He added: "As a parent, it's a great thing to know that there's a movie you have participated in that you can take your kids to. That isn't always the case. So that's really nice. And I think this genre is disappearing. So it's nice to have participated in it and to just have it around."
Meanwhile, Tucci hits the big screen as Caesar Flickerman in last year's 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' and more recently cameoed in the 'Muppets Most Wanted'.
'The Wind Rises' is released in UK cinemas on 9 May from Studiocanal.

Simon Cowell’s Syco to help develop animation films

Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment and Animal Logic Entertainment are collaborating to develop music-based animation films.
The music mogul, 54, is thrilled to have the chance to work closely with the special effects house and is excited with what they're going to produce, with the first film tipped for a 2016 release.
He said in a statement: "It is a dream come true to have this opportunity of working with Animal Logic. I think their work is pure genius and I really feel excited about the films we are going to be making together."
Animal Logic's Zareh Nalbandian is also delighted about the prospect of creating family friends films.
He added: "We are thrilled to bring together the amazing talent, global reach and expertise in popular music of Syco Entertainment alongside Animal Logic's rich history of innovative, cutting edge animation and universal storytelling. I am confident our truly complementary collaboration with Syco will be a very powerful force in family entertainment."
Syco previously teamed up with Sony Pictures to produce documentary 'One Direction: This Is Us' based on the boy band who were discovered on Cowell's UK 'X Factor' contest in 2010.

Gerard Butler pulls out of Point Break remake

Gerard Butler has pulled out of the 'Point Break' remake.
The 44-year-old actor was due to step into the late Patrick Swayze's shoes in a reboot of the classic 1991 surfer heist film, but has opted out of playing central character Bodhi due to a scheduling conflict and unnamed "creative differences".
The rugged star was already committed to filming the sequel to 'Olympus Has Fallen' in London this autumn, so would have been unable to take part in the lengthy 'Point Break' shoot, which kicks off in June and is expected to last several months and be filmed at multiple international locations.
Director Ericson Core and producers are now scrambling to find a replacement for Butler since filming is still scheduled to start next month, The Hollywood Reporter claims.
The movie also stars Luke Bracey in the role of Johnny Utah, the FBI agent who infiltrates Bodhi's criminal gang, and Ray Winstone as his partner, Agent Angelo Pappas.
The roles were previously played by Keanu Reeves and Gary Busey respectively.
In a new twist, 'Point Break' will be updated from a surfer-scene setting to the world of extreme sports.
Kurt Wimmer - who penned 'Salt' and 'Total Recall' - has written the script, with Alcon's Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove producing alongside John Baldecchi, Chris Taylor and Wimmer.

Seth Rogen reveals original Bad Neighbours script

Seth Rogen's 'Bad Neighbours' was originally supposed to be about a battle between "several buddies" and a frat party.
The 32-year-old actor hits the big screen in the comedy which follows him and his wife (Rose Byrne) as they move into a residential area before their lives are turned upside down when a frat party moves next door, which is drastically different to the original script.
He told collider.com: "It was originally much more about me and several of my buddies kind of messing with a frat. It wasn't really about me and my wife at all, she kind of had a much more traditional naggy wife, like almost the thing that we now make fun of in the movie- and the reason we make fun of it is because we ourselves fell into that trap in the first few incarnations of the script."
Rogen's wife Lauren Miller read the script and pointed out certain issues which made him reconsider the film's details.
He added: "And then we gave it to people the read, my wife read it, she was actually one of the ones who really pointed it out [laughs], like that's not how it would be."

Elizabeth Olsen surprised by Godzilla technicalities

Elizabeth Olsen didn't realise how "technical" 'Godzilla' would be.
The brunette beauty hits the big screen in the forthcoming sci-fi production and insists filming scenes with the titular monster were different to previous work.
She explained: "I got someone a megaphone saying Monster 1 Monster 2 and then Lizzie and then you turn around and you're like 'Oh that's my action shot'. It was more technical than I thought."
The 25-year-old actress, who plays Elle Brody, insists the adventure goes back to its "roots" which is faithful to the Japanese Toho series.
Olsen said: "This film really roots it back to the reason it was created. A very much so political voice for Japan in 1934 post World War 2 and it's going back to that kind of conspiracy theory. But it's so much fun and I get to play a mother and military wife and a nurse - being a good caretaker."
Although she hasn't seen it in 3D Olsen insists those kinds of films used to be "harmful" to her eyes.
Talking on the 'Late Show with David Letterman', she said: "I haven't seen it in that way yet [3D iMax]."
Show host David exclaimed: "That's the way to see it for God's sake."
Olsen replied: "3D used to give me a headache and I think they figured something out somewhere where it's actually really fun and not so harmful for your eyes."
