Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘excited’ about Conan movie

Arnold Schwarznegger is excited about 'The Legend of Conan'
The 'Sabotage' actor is delighted to finally have a new installment of the series - which he previously starred in in 1982 and 1984 - underway because previously not having the right budget or director for the film made it difficult to take up offers to reprise his role as the muscular sword and sorcery hero.
He said: "They said 'Do you want to play Conan? I thought 'Oh it will be great to be back' because it's all of the original characters.
"I've tried to do more Conan movies [ in the past], but the people who have owned the rights I didn't want to do Conan movies with, if they weren't on the level of big movies, you know it needed the budget behind it, the director behind it, then it can be a proper movie."
Meanwhile, the 66-year-old actor also says he felt "honoured" to be offered the chance to return as the destructive cyborg in 'Terminator 5' next year despite critics who are concerned his age could jeopardise the continuity of the story.
He gushed: "So the 'Terminator' movie came to me, and I felt very honoured and because there are people who they could have got to do it but they decided to cast me back in the film."

Zac Efron wants High School Musical return

Zac Efron would "absolutely" star in another 'High School Musical' movie.
The 26-year-old hunk shot to fame as Troy Bolton in the movie musical franchise, but he insists he is still proud of the role that brought him to worldwide attention.
He told Glamour magazine: "I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for 'High School Musical'. I love every fan. And to this day, I sign more 'High School Musical' stuff than anything else. Would I do another? Absolutely.
"Getting 'High School Musical' was a dream come true. I wasn't always good at singing and dancing. I was horrible at it until I started training every day. But I loved doing it. I love any challenge."
If Efron does return to the series as Troy - who he played in three movies - then he would want his 'Bad Neighbours' co-star Seth Rogen to be the film's producer as he recently admitted he would love to work with the comic star all the time.
He said recently: "I wish Seth could produce every film I'm in, he kind of just takes the lead he is always setting the pace and the tone for everybody. He helped the director, Nicholas Stoller, that's what Seth is able to do, ground everything. He is a great idea guy, and he's great to improvise with."

Carey Mulligan: Theatre role is ‘brilliant’

Carey Mulligan returned to theatre because of the lack of brilliant female roles in film.
The 28-year-old actress is returning to London's West End after a seven-year hiatus to star alongside Bill Nighy in a revival of playwright David Hare's 'Skylight' and she admits it's because she couldn't pass up the chance to take on the lead.
She said: "There are so few brilliantly written female characters out there and she's such a great opportunity."
Since her last theatre appearance in 'The Seagull' in 2007, the 'Inside Llewyn Davis' actress has won numerous awards for her roles in films such as 'An Education' and 'Never Let Me Go', but she's confessed the storyline of 'Skylight' persuaded her to return to the stage.
She explained: "I was drawn to the intimacy of it, and how it was so focused on one conversation and how two people who have history both see the same event.
"The challenge of filling that stage for one and a half hours, going head to head with one actor and of having to find new experiences with the same material night after night and figure out more stuff about it. It's very exciting."
However, as Mulligan has also been busy working on her new film 'Suffragette' alongside Meryl Streep, she's confessed she hasn't had time to stress over her return to the stage.
She added to Britain's Vogue magazine: "I've been so wrapped up in the film I haven't really thought about 'Skylight', which is probably a good thing because I haven't been worrying about it."

John Goodman and Ken Watanabe join Transformers: Age of Extinction

John Goodman and Ken Watanabe will voice two Autobots in the 'Transformers: Age of Extinction'.
The 62-year-old actor will play Autobot Hound while the 54-year-old star will has been cast as Drift in the forthcoming Michael Bay-directed film.
Bay said: "I am pleased to welcome two gifted and versatile actors, John Goodman and Ken Watanabe, to the world of Transformers."
Meanwhile, Frank Welker, 68, who has voiced many recurring characters in 'The Transformers' animated series, including eight of the original 14 Decepticons, will take on another new character, Galvatron.
And Peter Cullen, 72, who played leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, on the popular 1980s cartoon series, is set to reprises this role.
Bay added: "And to re-team with Peter and Frank, who have brought 'Transformers' characters alive from the beginning."
Bay was delighted with the old and new cast, and added: "I've been fortunate to work with some of the best voice talent in the business, and together we will introduce several exciting new robots to fans of the franchise around the world."

John Turturro directed Fading Gigolo in his underpants

John Turturro directed 'Fading Gigolo' in his underpants.
The 57-year-old filmmaker also stars in the 2013's American comedy alongside Sofia Vergara and Sharon Stone and after filming their sex scene he continued to work in his underwear.
Stone explained on US chat show 'The Talk': "It's [the sex scene] pretty benign. It sounds a lot, more, than it is. The funnier part of it was John. He has on black underpants, we'd be doing it and then he'd get up and be sitting on the camera in his underpants directing. That was the funnier part, for me."
The blonde beauty added: "It's a very touching scene. He's with Sofia and I'm beside them talking like 'Hey!'."
Stone gushed about 'Modern Family' star Vergara, and insists the brunette beauty is stunning even without her make-up on.
She added: "[Sofia Vergara] is so cute. If it's even possible to fathom, she's more beautiful without make-up. That girl is so beautiful it's inconceivable."

Angelina Jolie to be ‘selective’ about acting roles

Angelina Jolie plans to step away from acting.
The 'Maleficent' actress, who plays the titular villain in the upcoming adaptation of 'Sleeping Beauty', will be more "selective" about the roles she accepts and is hoping to spend more time "writing and directing".
Talking at a press conference for the Disney film, the 38-year-old actress explained: "It's going to take more of a back seat.
"I've had a wonderful career ... I'm sure there will be a few more films, but I am happy that I am able to be more selective and have fun with roles like this - but I would like to focus more on writing and directing and above all, I would like to focus more on my work with the UN and the PSBI."
Jolie - who raises Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, seven, and twins Vivienne and Knox, five, with fiance Brad Pitt - says her children are a fan of the voice she uses for the evil fairy and they make her use it at home.
She added: "My children love Maleficent's voice, so they always make me do it at home. I think it really brought out the child in me, being part of this film."

Nikki Reed to star in The Sunday Horse

Nikki Reed will star in 'The Sunday Horse'.
The 'Twilight' star has been cast in the film which is based on the true story of equestrian rider Debi Connor who overcomes the odds, and a near-fatal accident, to win the U.S. championship on a horse saved from slaughter, reports deadline.com.
BAFTA-winning 'Left Behind ' director Vic Armstrong is set to helm the project, while Fred Kuehnert will pen the script and Ronnie Clemmer is on board to produce alongside John Duffy.
'The Sunday Horse' is scheduled for a 2015 release.
Meanwhile, Reed - who was catapulted to the spotlight in 2003 following the release of 'Thirteen' - is reportedly dating Derek Hough after announcing she split from husband Paul McDonald in March after two years of marriage.
The 25-year-old actress was spotted making out with Hough, 28, at Rock & Reilly's in Los Angeles last month, while they were enjoying a night out with friends, including Mark Ballas and Cheryl Burke.
An eyewitness previously said: "The whole group was drinking and partying. Derek bought shots for Nikki at the bar. There was lots of PDA, Nikki was feeding him, holding hands, and they left together. They didn't seem to care if anyone was watching."

Arnold Schwarzenegger glad he’s not ‘over the hill’

Arnold Schwarzenegger is glad he's not an actor who is "over the hill".
The 66-year-old star - who hits the big screen in 'Sabotage' - is delighted his age hasn't prevented him starring in Hollywood blockbusters.
Schwarzenegger says: "I feel very honoured that I'm not looked upon as some old guy who is over the hill. That can happen to actors very quickly."
Although the hunk is best known for his action roles he was cast in comedy 'Triplets', which is the sequel to 1988 film 'Twins', and was set to star alongside Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy.
Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger will reprise his role as the titular cyborg in 'Terminator: Genesis' after he was forced to step down from participating in the franchise while he was the Governor of California between 2003 - 2011.
He "never thought" he would be asked to be in these productions, especially "unusual" comedy films.
Schwarzenegger told The Sun newspaper: "I never thought that all of the studios would come back and ask me to play these characters again.
"To play the 'Terminator' again, or to ask me to do 'Triplets' with Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy, is very unusual."

Antonio Banderas: Fighting comes naturally

Antonio Banderas says fighting comes "naturally" to him.
The 53-year-old actor, who plays Galgo in 'The Expendables 3', insists it was easy for him to slip into character and his love of sport helps in action roles which require "certain abilities".
Talking to collider.com, he explained: "I have a rifle, and I use a lot of fighting skills that I learned years ago. I tried to do as much as I could. I have certain abilities. I think I am good in the department of body language and fighting, and stuff like that.
"It's just natural to me, maybe because I love sports. As long as you have a good choreographer for that, and we did, it's relatively easy to get into that world, for me."
Banderas admits he questions the roles he gets as he ages but, at the same time, he enjoys taking on the challenge.
He added: "You have to be in good shape, basically. And then, you have to have a certain craziness, if you're going to do some of the action things. I did something that I shouldn't have done. I'm in my 60s now, and just running almost 50 meters with explosives going on, it was kind of like, 'Oh, my god! What am I doing here?' The whole entire building was shaking, and stuff like that.
"But, you do it. At the same time, I just wanna do it if I have the possibility of laughing a little bit at myself."
