Simon Cowell’s Syco to help develop animation films


Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Animal Logic Entertainment are collaborating to develop music-based animation films.

The music mogul, 54, is thrilled to have the chance to work closely with the special effects house and is excited with what they’re going to produce, with the first film tipped for a 2016 release.

He said in a statement: "It is a dream come true to have this opportunity of working with Animal Logic. I think their work is pure genius and I really feel excited about the films we are going to be making together."

Animal Logic’s Zareh Nalbandian is also delighted about the prospect of creating family friends films.

He added: "We are thrilled to bring together the amazing talent, global reach and expertise in popular music of Syco Entertainment alongside Animal Logic’s rich history of innovative, cutting edge animation and universal storytelling. I am confident our truly complementary collaboration with Syco will be a very powerful force in family entertainment."

Syco previously teamed up with Sony Pictures to produce documentary ‘One Direction: This Is Us’ based on the boy band who were discovered on Cowell’s UK ‘X Factor’ contest in 2010.
