Daniel Radcliffe wants to try his hand at directing.
The 25-year-old actor would like to try sitting behind the camera, rather than in front, at some point in his career as he's developed a flare for visualising the artistic and dramatic aspects when he's been shooting a movie.
Speaking to Variety, he said: "I would love to direct. I do it in my head when I'm watching other directors direct. 'No, don't say that to them!' I think I'm quite good with people. Part of being a director is knowing how different actors work in different ways. I'd enjoy it."
The 'Harry Potter' star admits he's picked up the tricks of being a director after working with talent such as Alfonso Cuaron, Mike Newell and David Yates.
He explained: "The mistake I see even the really good directors make is they assume they are the only creative person on that set.
"And actually, make-up artists are not just girls with brushes who put foundation on, and costume guys are not just there to stitch up accidents. They are all immensely creative people."
However, the hunky star insists his directorial debut won't happen any time soon, but would more than likely be an indie movie.
He said: "The last film to blow my f*****g mind was this film by Charlie McDowell called 'The One I Love.' When I watched that film, I was like, 'Yes, that's exactly the type of film I'm interested in making.'
"It's totally funny and creepy in a way that so few films manage to be."
Ryan Reynolds has been cast to appear in new thriller 'Criminal'.
The Hollywood heartthrob will appear in the new flick from Millennium Films alongside Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman and Tommy Lee Jones.
The film focuses on the secrets and skills of a deceased CIA operative, which are implanted into a prisoner who strives to stop a sinister plot.
'Criminal' is to be directed by Ariel Vromen, who wrote and directed 'The Iceman'.
The script is being penned by Douglas Cook and David Weisberg, while Chris Bender, J.C. Spink, Mark Gill and Matt O'Toole have been named as producers of the film.
Reynolds, 37, is sure to work on his latest role with wife Blake Lively, 26, who told the August issue of Vogue magazine that the couple collaborate on everything.
She said: " If I'm working on a movie, he helps me with my character; I do the same with him."
Lively added: "He's a beautiful writer - he's written a lot of stuff for us. And he's got a great barometer and he knows me, so he will tell me if it's not as good as it can be."
Ricky Gervais is making a movie on David Brent.
The 53-year-old comedian is planning to shoot the feature length film 'Life on the Road', which is based on his awkward character in 'The Office', next year.
The movie catches up with David after he was made redundant from Wernham Hogg 15 years ago and follows him as he tries to make it as a rock star while working as a sales representative.
A press released from BBC Films reads: "We find out what Brent is doing now and what's happened in the last 15 years since his redundancy from his beloved Wernham Hogg. He's a sales rep now, selling cleaning products up and down the country, but has never really given up on his dream of being a rock star."
The film will also follow David's self-funded UK tour.
The statement added: "He thinks it'll be like Scorsese filming the Rolling Stones, but it turns out to be a 'where are they now' documentary. He has to take a few weeks off work and cash in a couple of pensions, because the session musicians are costing him more than he's getting in ticket sales. Tragic."
Meanwhile, Gervais' alter-ego gained worldwide fame in the BBC Two comedy between 2001 and 2003.
Elijah Wood has joined the cast of 'The Last Witch Hunter'.
The eagerly-awaited supernatural action movie will feature Vin Diesel and Michael Caine, and it has now been revealed that Wood - star of 'Lord of the Rings' - will also appear in the flick.
The film - which also stars 'Game of Thrones' actress Rose Leslie - centres on an immortal witch hunter, played by Diesel, who joins forces with a witch to stop New York City's covens from releasing a plague.
'The Last Witch Hunter' has been scripted by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama, who penned 'Gods of Egypt'.
Vin Diesel recently spoke about the new flick, saying he was particularly looking forward to working alongside Michael Caine.
He said: "I'm about to do a movie with Breck Eisner called 'The Last Witch Hunter' where I play a 700-year-old New Yorker, which should be a lot of fun.
"Working opposite Michael Caine will be a blast. I've always wanted to work with Michael Caine so it'll be the first time I get to work with Michael Caine."
'The Last Witch Hunter' is set to be released later this year.

Sam Riley and Lily James have been cast in 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'.
The 'Control' actor will portray Mr. Darcy opposite James as heroine Elizabeth Bennett and Bella Heathcote as one of her sisters in the movie, which is based on Seth Grahame-Smith's novel mash-up of Jane Austin's classic 19th century drama which sees the romantic exploits of the lead characters disrupted when they are faced with an army of the "sorry stricken".
Jack Huston is also in talks to join the project.
The film has been in development for some time and has seen numerous changes but, according to Deadline, it will now finally go ahead with Burr Steers directing from a script he has re-written based on an earlier draft from David O. Russell.
When the movie was first announced, Natalie Portman - who remains as a producer - was first attached to the lead role, and it was then offered to Emma Stone, who passed in 2011, and Lily Collins was also considered.
As well as 'Silver Linings Playbook' filmmaker Russell, Mike White and Craig Gillespie have all previously been in the running to direct, and have worked on the script, as have other writers including Jane Espenson.
Filming is scheduled to begin next month.
Sony Pictures are planning a female 'Spider-Man' spin-off.
The studio have pushed back the next installment in the franchise - which stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and his titular alter ego - to 2018 and before that movie comes out, they want to release a women-driven film, Deadline reports.
According to the website, Lisa Joy has been hired to write the script and Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach will produce, though it is unclear as yet which characters from the superhero stories will feature in the movie.
A source said: "What other movies we could do was something everyone started talking about when shooting the last movie.
"With [female-driven] 'Salt', 'Wanted' and 'Lucy', there is a huge appetite for this right now."
Though it is too early for any casting to be taken place, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' actress Karen Gillan recently admitted she would love to play Spider-Girl in a film.
The former 'Doctor Who' actress expressed an interest in portraying a "lady version" of Spider-Man and after learning about both May 'Mayday' Parker aka Spider-Girl, and Julia Carpenter, the alter ego of Spider-Woman she made a quick decision over the role she'd prefer.
Asked which superhero she'd like to play, she said: "Yeah, who is there...? I want to play a version of Spider-Man that's a lady.
Spider-Woman - does she exist? I want to play Spider-Girl!"
Sylvester Stallone has joked he's going to cast Wesley Snipes in an 'Escape From Alcatraz 2' movie.
The 68-year-old actor poked fun at his 'Expendables 3' co-star following the 'Blade' actor's recent prison stint for tax evasion, joking that he is going to make a sequel to prison movie 'Escape From Alcatraz' and cast Snipes in the lead role.
Speaking at a press conference to promote 'The Expendables 3' in central London on Monday (04.08.14), Stallone quipped: "You don't mind that I'm readying you for a part in 'Escape From Alcatraz 2' do you?"
Earlier in the press conference, Snipes poked fun at his own absence from the movie scene after being jailed for three years in 2010, joking he had been waiting to work with Sylvester ever since they starred opposite one another in 1993 movie 'Demolition Man'.
He said: "I've been waiting to work with you ever since. You were busy ... I was busy."
Snipes also admitted he was pleased his return to the big screen was on a film set that was so much fun.
He said: "You can imagine being on an Olympic sports team of some sort, we've got some of the best of the best players all playing at the same time. We've had a lot of fun."
The first scene in the film sees The Expendables - made up of Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture - break Snipes' character Doc out of prison.
When they're in the plane afterwards, they ask him what he was prison for and he jokingly responds: "Tax evasion".
Marion Cotillard wants to play a man.
The 38-year-old French actress has revealed that the next box she wants to tick on her list of career aspirations is to transform into a member of the opposite sex on screen.
And she also wants to explore comedy after making a cameo appearance in 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues', which was a stark contrast to her usual dark roles.
She told The Observer magazine: "The dream is to do comedy. Comedians I know like Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, are some of the best human observers. Comedy has deep insights into our human defects that somehow affect the audience more deeply than tragedy.
"Oh! And I'd like to play a man."
However, the 'Inception' star admits she may have to give up acting altogether in order to continue with her other passion, which is to raise awareness of environmental issues.
Speaking about her position as an ambassador for Greenpeace, she explained: "Campaigning and acting aren't compatible. That's why Audrey Hepburn gave up acting. That's why Angeline Jolie will give up. I'm not ready to stop yet."
