The Expendabelles to start shooting early 2015

'The Expendables' spin-off 'The Expendabelles' is to start shooting early next year, it has been confirmed.
Avi Lerner, who produced all three of the movies in the action film franchise, revealed work is nearly complete on the script for the upcoming motion picture, which will be made up of a largely female cast, with a view to starting work on the project in 2015.
Speaking at a press conference to promote 'The Expendables 3' in central London on Monday (04.08.14), he said: "We are writing the final lines of the script, we've got lots of ideas about who is going to be in it.
"We're going to do it at the beginning of next year, that's all I can say about this movie right now."
'Expendables 3' star Sylvester Stallone, who has been a part of all three movies in his role as main character Barney Ross, admitted he would love to see Sigourney Weaver lead The Expendabelles into battle in the role as his on-screen wife.
He added: "With 'The Expendabelles' we've got a situation where we're in unchartered waters. Do we put all women actresses together, would that really work? Or do we have some women who are actually really known to be tough, fighters.
"Are The Expendabelles really part of a divorce? Say Barney and then Sigourney Weaver, whose my wife, got a divorce. I'd have to deal with that too. I've lost the house and my mercenaries!"

Vin Diesel says he’s similar to Guardians of the Galaxy character

Vin Diesel believes his 'Guardians of the Galaxy' character is similar to his real-life self.
The 47-year-old actor insists the innocence of his alter-ego Groot - a genetically modified tree who tries to save the world - in the new Marvel flick is comparable to his own off-screen persona.
He explained: "To maintain your innocence is a feat. So much magic comes from it.
"Ironically, people probably see more of Groot when I'm posting [on Facebook] than they would in any of the characters I play."
However, despite Diesel's love of Facebook, he argues that stars ought to be more aware of the direct interaction social media allows with fans.
He explained: "Imagine if you were able to Facebook Elvis, and talk to him, and hear from him without the Hollywood of it all. That was the 'Fast & Furious' experience."
Meanwhile, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' - which also features the likes of Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper and Chris Pratt - is in UK cinemas now.

Emily Berrington’s embarrassing Inbetweeners role

Emily Berrington is embarrassed about her parents seeing 'The Inbetweeners 2'.
The 27-year-old actress stars in the comedy sequel - which sees four friends, played by James Buckley, Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison, go backpacking in Australia - and though she won't stop her family tuning in, she thinks they need to be warned about the raunchy humour.
She said: "I don't want to give away any good gags but there's a scene with some drunk snogging that I remember thinking as we filmed it, 'I look forward to Mum and Dad having to watch this.'
"I'm sure I'll be embarrassed for some of it, but my family are so excited about seeing the film, I couldn't possibly deny them that chance. I think they'll be cool about it, but maybe I should warn them about a few things first."
Emily admits she was often "amazed" they got any filming done because the guys are so fond of practical jokes.
She added to LOOK magazine: "Being a part of 'The Inbetweeners' feels exactly like watching it - all the practical jokes and the way the boys take the p**s out of each other is real. No joke is off limits as long as it's funny so the boundaries get pushed very far.
"They were easily as funny as I expected and there were days where I was amazed we managed to film anything at all. They make it their mission to put each other off.
"One of the longest-running gags was that every time action was called, James would fart. So obviously everyone would start laughing, but if you're trapped in a little tepee with a Buckley fart, you get a bit cross too."

Chris Pratt’s Guardians of the Galaxy body concerns

Chris Pratt worried his modest physique might have stopped him from securing a role in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
The 35-year-old star admitted he was confident his acting talents were suitable to the role of Peter Quill, aka Sky Lord, but feared that his unremarkable build may stop him from getting the part.
Speaking at a press conference in London to promote the film, he said: "I think that if I could be believed physically as the character, [the role] would be mine. James [Gunn, the director] and I gelled in a nice way, it seemed almost immediately like my spirit was right for this character."
Pratt underwent a gruelling fitness regime to get himself in shape for the role and now looks every inch a superhero.
He added: I just didn't look the part. I wasn't walking around in the right vehicle yet.
"So I knew if I could convince them to take a chance on me and give me enough time, I could make the change required to look like the part."
'Guardians of the Galaxy' is out now in UK cinemas.

Vin Diesel barking up the wrong tree

Vin Diesel found playing a tree "challenging".
The 47-year-old actor, who voices the Flora Collasus, Groot, in the new Marvel comic book movie 'Guardians of the Galaxy', struggled to portray the animated character without the use of facial expressions and movement.
He said: "I play a unique extra terrestrial character. I play a tree. When the character was presented to me they prefaced it by saying this is the strangest character we've ever attempted to put on film for Marvel ... and it's a tree.
"For this one I felt like the thespian in me was being challenged.
"To be asked to play a role and not be able to use your facial mannerisms or body physicality to portray that role..."
In stark contrast to the part-animated comic book blockbuster, the 'Fast and the Furious' star is hoping to complete a historical film trilogy, based on the three Punic wars - fought between Rome and Carthage from 264 BC to 146 BC - which he has had in the pipeline for a decade.
He explained: "As so many people know, I want to do this his historical piece. And I want to do the trilogy about the Punic wars it's still something that I have been working on the 10 years and it's something that has to be realised."

Robert Pattinson prepared for The Rover disapproval

Robert Pattinson is unsure whether 'Twilight' fans will like his new movie, 'The Rover'.
The actor's latest flick is dramatically different to the vampire franchise, and the 28-year-old star concedes that he doesn't know whether his fans will enjoy it.
He said: "I'm curious to know whether people who liked the 'Twilight' movies will come and see things like 'The Rover'.
"Hopefully they'll enjoy it. I try to do ambitious projects but I don't know if people are going to like them. You just try to do things which are challenging and hopefully people will appreciate that."
Pattinson is persistently linked to starring roles in big studio projects, like 'Star Wars', but says he's reluctant to get involved with another franchise.
He explained: "They don't come into my orbit and I don't really see myself in a lot of mainstream parts. I've never been part of the group that gets these roles."
'The Rover' is set in a post-apocalyptic Australian wasteland and sees Pattinson play the role of Ray, a slow-witted character who is a lost soul. The low-budget flick opens in the UK on August 15.
