Avengers: Age of Ultron won’t feature post-credits scene

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' will not feature a post-credits scene.
Joss Whedon, the director of the eagerly-awaited new movie, confirmed the tradition, which stretches back to 2008's 'Iron Man', will be broken when 'Age of Ultron' reaches cinemas because he doesn't feel he can beat the post-battle scene from the first film in 2012.
Joss told Entertainment Weekly: "We all came at it separately - we don't want to chase that.
"That was a jewel and a weird little quirk."
Kevin Feige - the president of Marvel Studios - said that although 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' will not include a post-credits scene, there will be a mid-credits equivalent.
He explained: "There will be a tag. But there's not a post-post-credit scene."
Meanwhile, Marvel has confirmed that Joe and Anthony Russo are to direct the next two 'Avengers' movies.
The brothers first worked with the studio on 2014's 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and are set to helm 'Avengers: Infinity War' parts one and two.
'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' is set for release later this month, while 'Avengers: Infinity War Part 1' is expected to open on May 4, 2018, with the second scheduled for May 3, 2019.

Keanu Reeves ‘has saved the world four times’

Keanu Reeves has saved the world four times in his films.
The 50-year-old actor has worked out that, having starred in over 40 feature films, he's come to the world's rescue four times onscreen, including in his role as Ted in the 'Bill and Ted' movies.
Keanu said: "I think [I've saved the world] a couple of times. 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'. 'Bill and Ted' kind of saved the world. 'Constantine' saves the world. How about 'The Matrix'? 'The Matrix' kind of saves the world. That's four."
In his new film, 'John Wick', the actor is doing pretty much the opposite of saving the world, starring as a former hitman who goes after the men who killed his dog.
The canine's murder gets John very worked up, and he goes on a monumental killing spree.
Keanu told Metro newspaper: "I've heard [the body count in 'John Wick' is] 73. I've heard 84, I don't really know."
Keanu's new thriller involves a lot of action, which the movie star had to prepare for in the months prior to filming.
The 'Lake House' star said: "I like a tough day. [The 'John Wick' producers] provided a few months of training, judo, jujitsu.
"[My favourite action moments were] sliding the car around, the knife fight in the hallway. It's fun. I'm f****ng John Wick, man. Here comes trouble."

Keanu Reeves: I know movie kung-fu moves

Keanu Reeves knows "movie kung-fu".
The 50-year-old actor, who stars as legendary assassin John Wick in his latest movie, says that although he may use his action hero skills in certain circumstances, he isn't the fighting type.
Asked about his real-life combat skills, Keanu said: "It depends on the circumstances. You know, if someone is messing with your family...
"But in a general sense, I know movie kung-fu."
Keanu also said he hasn't learned any life lessons through the course of his Hollywood career, despite staring in a string of major hits, including 'The Matrix' franchise and 'Speed'.
He told the Guardian newspaper: "I don't have one. I don't have one. I don't.
"God, advice is tough ... I don't have any advice either.
"I guess, I could say stay true to what you think and what you feel, and what you think is important ... you know, try to stay close to what you think and feel."
Meanwhile, Keanu recently confessed he's keen to make 'Bill & Ted 3', but hasn't started preparing to reprise the role of Ted 'Theodore' Logan in the much-discussed third film in the franchise.
Asked if he's been busy re-familiarising himself with Ted's unique use of language, he said: "I haven't. I wonder what other words they're going to use if we get to do another Bill and Ted film.
"There has to be excellent and bodacious and heinous ... yeah, I don't know what else there would be."

Joe and Anthony Russo to direct new two Avengers movies

Joe and Anthony Russo have been confirmed as directors of the next two 'Avengers' movies.
The brothers - who first worked with Marvel on 2014's 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' - were rumoured last month to have signed a deal with Marvel to direct 'Avengers: Infinity War' parts one and two, but now Marvel has officially confirmed that they will be taking over from Joss Whedon.
Both 'Avengers: Infinity War' films are expected to be shot back-to-back next year, after the Russo brothers have completed their work on 'Captain America: Civil War', the film they're currently preparing to shoot.
However, IGN News claims that they might not both still include Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans, due to the amount of contractual movies each has left with Marvel.
Joss had already confirmed his intention to walk away from the 'Avengers' at the conclusion of 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron'.
He explained: "I couldn't imagine [directing an 'Avengers' film] again.
"It's enormously hard, and it'd be, by then, a good five years since I created anything that was completely my own.
"So it's very doubtful that I would take on the two-part Infinity War movie that would eat up the next four years of my life."
'Avengers: Infinity War Part 1' is expected to be released on May 4, 2018, with the second instalment set for May 3, 2019.

Rooney Mara cast in survival drama Lion

Rooney Mara has been cast alongside Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel in 'Lion'.
The Indian survival drama is being adapted from a screenplay by Luke Davies and is being directed by Garth Davis, with filming set to start in Australia in the coming weeks after recently wrapping in India.
Emile Sherman and Iain Canning - the co-founders of See-Saw, the film's production company - said: "We are thrilled with the incredible work of our cast and crew in India and look forward to welcoming Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, Dev Patel, David Wenham and Divian Ladwa to the Australian leg of the shoot."
Before then, Rooney will star in Terrence Malick's 'Weightless' and will also appear opposite Cate Blanchett in Todd Haynes' 'Carol'.
The 29-year-old actress will star as Tiger Lily in Joe Wright's summer blockbuster 'Pan', which also features Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried and model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne.
Cara, 22, recently said she's delighted to have secured the role in 'Pan' and other similarly big movies because acting is her "passion".
She said: "Modeling I love, but acting is my passion. I think modeling kind of chose me; it's never what I expected. I always wanted to be an actress."

Eva Mendes being courted for role in Fast and Furious 8

Eva Mendes is wanted to appear in 'Fast and Furious 8'.
The 41-year-old actress - who starred in '2 Fast 2 Furious' in 2003 and also returned for a cameo in 'Fast Five' - is wanted to reprise the role of US Customs Agent Monica Fuentes in the eagerly-awaited New York-based film, the Latino-Review reports.
Mendes' proposed inclusion is reportedly crucial to the plot of the new movie, with her role set to be extended if she can be convinced to return to the franchise.
The report comes shortly after Dame Helen Mirren revealed she dreams of starring in the 'Fast and Furious' movies, saying she wants to play a "mad driver" in the action film series and has already proven her credentials for the role by appearing on the popular motoring show 'Top Gear'.
Dame Helen said: "My great ambition is to be in a Fast and Furious movie.
"I so want to be a mad driver in a Fast and Furious movie ... my claim to fame is I always do my own driving. I was on Top Gear, and I did [my lap] in a very good time.
"I keep putting it out there, and they never ask me. I'll be in Fast and Furious 8!"

Keanu Reeves reveals interest in Bill and Ted 3

Keanu Reeves is interested in making 'Bill & Ted 3'.
The 50-year-old actor - who starred as Theodore 'Ted' Logan in the iconic comedy films - has been linked with a return to the franchise and while Keanu insists he's not currently preparing to reprise the role, he's interested by the prospect.
Asked if he's been busy re-familiarising himself with Ted's unusual use of language, he told Digital Spy: "I haven't. I wonder what other words they're going to use if we get to do another Bill and Ted film.
"There has to be excellent and bodacious and heinous ... yeah, I don't know what else there would be."
Keanu's remarks come shortly after Alex Winter - who played Bill S. Preston Esq. in the original movies - said a third movie is close to becoming a reality.
According to Alex, his on-screen co-star is determined to get the film made and has been busily preparing.
Alex said: "He started watching the earliest cuts of this movie a year ago, and was just super into it.
"It's really funny, because I asked him and I could tell he was waiting for me to ask. Because he was like, 'Yeah. Duh.'"

Alien tops list of scariest movie monsters

'Alien' has been named the scariest movie creature of all time.
The frightening creation first appeared on movie screens in 1979, bursting out of John Hurt's chest, and came out on top of a Radio Times reader survey, pipping the skeleton army from 'Jason and the Argonauts' to the post.
Only two modern villains appeared in the top 10 - the life-sucking Dementors from the Harry Potter movies and Pale Man, which feeds on children and fairies, from 2006 film 'Pan's Labyrinth'.
The Thing came third in the scary stakes, while 'Nightmare On Elm Street's' serial killer Freddy Krueger and the great white shark from Steven Spielberg's 'Jaws' complete the top five.
Dracula, Godzilla and killer doll Chucky are all also in the top 10.
Other terrifying creatures, who didn't quite scare moviegoers enough to make the top 10 include 'Star Wars' Jabba the Hutt, the Terminator and the Tyrannosaurus Rex from 'Godzilla'.
The poll results come shortly after Neill Blomkamp confirmed he is to make a new 'Alien' movie.
The South African-Canadian director revealed he's agreed a deal with 20th Century Fox to make the eagerly-awaited new film, after taking inspiration from veteran 'Alien' actress Sigourney Weaver during the making of 'Chappie'.
He said: "Speaking to Sigourney Weaver, when we were doing Chappie, she set off a bunch of thoughts in my head - I had come up with an idea that didn't have Sigourney, it was a different idea. But I spent all of the shooting time with her, it was like, holy s***, that could actually be really interesting."

Top ten greatest movie monsters:

1. Alien - Alien

2. Skeleton Army - Jason And The Argonauts

3. The Thing - The Thing

4. Freddy Kruger - A Nightmare On Elm Street

5. Jaws - Jaws

6. Dracula - Dracula
