Sam Claflin for Rogue One

Sam Claflin is in talks to star in 'Rogue One'.
The 28-year-old actor is reportedly set to join 'The Theory Of Everything' actress Felicity Jones in the first instalment of the 'Star Wars: Anthology' films.
In addition to the 'The Hunger Games' star, 'Nightcrawler' actor Riz Ahmed is also said to have entered into negotiations, a source has told The Wrap.
Meanwhile, director Gareth Edwards recently shed some light on the new series of stand alone films, with 'Rogue One' being set in the Star Wars universe in between Episode III and IV and running parallel to the franchise's main storyline.
He said: "It's basically in an era where there are no Jedi, where they're all but extinct. It's about the fact that God's not coming to save us.
"We're on our own and we have to do this ourselves. The absence of Jedi is omnipresent in the film, it hangs over the whole movie. It comes down to a group of individuals who don't have special powers but have to bring hope and justice to the galaxy."
The movie is due to be released in December 2016, which is a year after 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.

James Franco loves making ‘uncomfortable’ films

James Franco enjoys making films that "make us uncomfortable".
The 37-year-old actor stars in the American drama movie 'I Am Michael', which is based on Benoit Denizet-Lewis' New York Times Magazine article 'My Ex-Gay Friend', and admits he's a fan of movies that cause its audience to think.
Reflecting on the movie, James - who plays a gay rights activist who later denounced his homosexuality - said: "There's the coming out narrative, the fighting for rights narrative, the closeted secret affair narrative, like we saw in 'Brokeback Mountain'.
"All of these films are very important, but not every movie needs to be like that. Once those stories are told, we can tell unexpected ones that might challenge us or make us uncomfortable in some ways."
However, James thinks there are certain aspects to his film that distinguishes it from other movies made in recent years.
He told BlackBook: "What I think is so innovative about 'I Am Michael' is that we're watching a man go in an unexpected direction, and that direction brings up a lot of questions about identity, and what identity consists of, and how it's defined, and who gets to decide.
"And this film tackles faith versus sexuality, and the tensions there, in an important way."

Fast and Furious 8 confirmed

Vin Diesel has confirmed there will be an eighth 'Fast and Furious' sequel.
The franchise's latest instalment 'Furious 7' has smashed box office records, becoming the fastest film ever to make $1 billion at the box office and the movie's star has revealed the next in the series will be unveiled in 2017.
He said: "Furious 8 will be yours to share with the world on April 14, 2017."
The 47-year-old actor also thanked fans for their support of the film as well as making reference to his "brother upstairs" Paul Walker, who tragically died in a car crash in November 2013.
Speaking at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Vin added: "There is something you all did. For me, personally, you all gave me so much confidence. There was so much love. You made me feel like we could actually make history with 'Furious 7'. You've been so loyal all along ...
"Because there's a pride that you have that we feel, the people that make the movie, the studio that I call my home, my family. You make us feel like we want to give you the best movie in the world to share with you."

Spider-Man animated movie scheduled for 2018

Spider-Man is going back to his graphic roots with a new animated movie due out in 2018.
Tom Rothman - the chairman of Sony Pictures - broke the news at CinemaCon on Wednesday (22.04.15) and announced Lego Movie's Phil Lord and Chris Miller as its director.
What's more, the pair - who have also directed '22 Jump Street' and 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' - will write and produce the Spider-Man animation project.
Sony has made it clear the movie will exist independently of the live-action Spider-Man universe and set a July 20, 2018 release date for the film.
Rothman also remained tight-lipped about the next incarnation of Spider-Man from Marvel's Cinematic Universe, which is currently due for release on July 28, 2017.
Freddie Highmore, Dylan O'Brien, Donald Glover and Ansel Elgort are among the actors who have been linked to the role of Peter Parker, which was previously played by Andrew Garfield.
This comes shortly after Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studio, revealed the studio's 'Spider-Man' movie will not be an origin story.
He shared: "In Spider-Man's very specific case, where there have been two retellings of that origin in the last whatever it's been - [13] years - for us, we are going to take it for granted that people know that, and the specifics.
"It will not be an origin story, but with great power comes great responsibility. It is inherent to who his character is. But we want to reveal it in different ways and spend much more time focusing on this young high school kid in the Marvel Comic universe dealing with his powers."

E.L James’ husband to pen Fifty Shades sequel

E.L James' husband will write the 'Fifty Shades' sequel.
Screenwriter Niall Leonard - who is married to the best-selling author - had an uncredited role in the Sam Taylor-Johnson-directed first film, and has been drafted in to pen the much-anticipated sequel, titled 'Fifty Shades Darker'.
Producer Michael De Luca told The Hollywood Reporter: "Niall is an outstanding writer in his own right, with multiple established credits, and we are lucky to have him join Team Fifty."
The first film in the 'Fifty Shades' series was widely panned by critics and it has since been announced that director Sam Taylor-Johnson will not be returning for the next movie.
Sam was asked to return for the sequel, but decided to walk away amid reports she struggled to work alongside E.L James.
Earlier this week, Sam told BANG Showbiz: "I'm flattered they wanted me to continue. But it was a monumental job - that was enough for me."
The director also said she was surprised by the reaction to the film's release and passed on her best wishes to the next director.
She explained: "I couldn't really have ever expected that after working in a small, dark room for almost a year editing.
"I wish them all the luck in the world."

Joss Whedon regrets cutting ‘shirtless Chris Hemsworth’ from Avengers: Age of Ultron

Joss Whedon regrets cutting out so much of "shirtless Chris Hemsworth" from 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.
The 50-year-old film director has admitted he wishes audiences could've seen more of the 'Thor' actor's body in the new Marvel film.
Joss said: "We cut out an enormous bunch of shirtless Chris Hemsworth.
"I was like, 'You guys have to learn more about exploitation because you are not good at it.'"
While the 'Avengers' director feels he made a mistake in the editing process, he was adamant that he'd made the right decision when it comes to the unlikely relationship between Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson's characters, Hawkeye and Black Widow.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Joss said: "I made the decision because I felt they had a particular chemistry and those characters are connected in an unusual way.
"They are outsiders, the two people who do not consider themselves superheroes. They live outside of societal norms and as actors they have had such great chemistry from the first scene they shot.
"I know people say, 'What about Steve (Rogers, Captain America)?' But I don't think [Marvel] were ever leaning into that [romance].
"For me I think it's more interesting and romantic to have two people willing to die for one another and not want to sleep together."

Fast and Furious 7 ‘doesn’t credit stunt team’

The stunt team behind 'Fast and Furious 7' are reportedly angry they've not been acknowledged in the credits.
The latest instalment in the action film series features the likes of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, the late Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, but the team responsible for some of the most action-packed scenes in the movie - including an eye-catching parachute car jump - are angry at being left out of the end credits.
As many as 25 stunt workers have not been credited for their part in the film, including one of Paul Walker's stunt doubles, according to TMZ.
Universal Studios have responded to the claims by saying they intend to look into the issue.
Meanwhile, Oscar-winning actress Dame Helen Mirren recently confessed she dreams of starring in the 'Fast and Furious' franchise.
The 69-year-old star wants to play a "mad driver" in the action film series and thinks she's already proven her credentials for the role by appearing on the popular motoring show 'Top Gear'.
She revealed: "My great ambition is to be in a Fast and Furious movie.
"I so want to be a mad driver in a Fast and Furious movie ... my claim to fame is I always do my own driving. I was on Top Gear, and I did [my lap] in a very good time.
"I keep putting it out there, and they never ask me. I'll be in Fast and Furious 8!"

Common joins Suicide Squad

Common will star in 'Suicide Squad'.
The rapper turned actor - who picked up the Oscar for Best Song with John Legend after they penned the soundtrack 'Glory' to the hit film 'Selma', in which he also starred - has joined the A-list line up of the upcoming action picture, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He will appear in a currently unspecified role alongside Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and model Cara Delevingne, who's been cast in the part of Enchantress.
Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara and Scott Eastwood will also star with a rumoured cameo from Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor also tipped.
David Ayer is directing the movie which is expected to be released on August 5 next year.
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck's Batman is also rumoured to appear in the movie
The Latino Review blog has claimed Batman will feature as "some sort of big boogeyman" in the Warner Bros film.
Meanwhile, further details of the film are being kept under wraps and star Will Smith has suggested he'd be forced to "kill" anyone who learnt of its plot.
Asked whether he could speak about 'Suicide Squad', Will said: "No sir, I'd have to kill you. It's top secret but it's really good, though. It's great stuff, fantastic. I'm already in shape for it, I'm already training."

Sam Taylor-Johnson found directing Fifty Shades of Grey ‘monumental’

Sam Taylor-Johnson found directing 'Fifty Shades of Grey' to be a "monumental" experience.
The 48-year-old filmmaker - who helmed the much-anticipated movie adaptation of the best-selling novel by author E.L. James - recently announced her decision to walk away from the money-spinning franchise, but Sam admitted she's proud the studio wanted her to return for the sequels.
Speaking at the European premiere of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' - which she attended alongside her husband, Aaron Taylor-Johnson - Sam told BANG Showbiz "I'm flattered they wanted me to continue. But it was a monumental job - that was enough for me."
What's more, Sam admitted she was surprised by the amount of attention the film's release received and also passed on a good luck message to the next director of the franchise.
She said: "I couldn't really have ever expected that after working in a small, dark room for almost a year editing.
"I wish them all the luck in the world."
Meanwhile, it was recently reported 'Fifty Shades Darker' will feature model Cara Delevingne, who will join the returning Rita Ora for the next movie in the series.
