Daniel Craig to play a Stormtrooper

Daniel Craig will play a Stormtrooper in 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens'.
The 'Skyfall' actor's mystery role in the highly-anticipated blockbuster was accidentally leaked by fellow actor Simon Pegg, who let the secret slip before realising his mistake.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper at the premiere of 'Man Up' in London, he said: "I wasn't a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper."
Realising his mistake, he quickly admitted: "I shouldn't have said that."
While Simon has long been a rumoured star in the movie, Daniel's small cameo part was revealed last year, despite the fact the identity of his character will remain a mystery in the film as his face will be concealed.
An insider said: "Daniel asked for some sort of secret cameo role - and was happy to have his name left off the posters.
"Fans will love trying to work out which covered up character is him."
Meanwhile, the 47-year-old hunk recently returned to finish filming on his fourth movie as James Bond, 'Spectre', after he was flown to Manhattan to have emergency knee surgery, having injured himself shooting scenes for the film.
A source said: "Craig has been struggling with his knee since he first hurt it in the Alps in January.
"His body has taken a hell of a battering while filming Bond, because he really throws himself wholeheartedly into a very demanding part."

Aidan Turner spent a month ‘learning to move like a dwarf’

Aidan Turner spent a month learning how to move like a dwarf for the 'Hobbit' films.
The 31-year-old star - who appeared in the role of Kíli, one of the twelve companions of Thorin and Bilbo - has revealed the unusual preparation he did before appearing in the Peter Jackson-directed movies.
Asked what it was like working on the 'Hobbit' films, Aidan replied: "Incredible. We were there the entire time. The dwarves were there six to eight weeks before we started shooting. For a dwarves boot camp. We did a month on how to move like a dwarf.
"Then Peter Jackson came in, looked at it, said, 'You look stupid, scrap it, just walk normally.' Ah f**k, all right then, let's do that."
What's more, Aidan revealed working on the iconic franchise taught him Orlando Bloom is "remarkably good" at archery.
He told ShortList magazine: "I was doing archery classes, me and Orlando Bloom doing competitions. He's remarkably good, actually. Sickeningly good.
"And then you get the best actors coming through, so you had three or four months where Billy Connolly was over, so you get to hang out with Bill at the bar and talk s**t. Just brilliant times."

Ethan Hawke: Hollywood is ‘a boys’ club’

Ethan Hawke has labelled the film industry "a boys' club".
The 44-year-old actor has blasted Hollywood for its gender inequality, revealing that filming Rebecca Miller's 'Maggie's Plan' was the first time he had ever been directed by a woman, despite being in the industry for 30 years.
Ethan said: "The movie business is such a boys' club. I have been making movies for 30 years. I've done probably more than 40 movies, and this year is the first time I've been directed by a woman."
The actor also responded to the Oscars speech made by his 'Boyhood' co-star Patricia Arquette, which called for equal opportunities for women in the US.
Ethan told 'Larry King Now': "Patricia is a brass tacks, old-school feminist and I have so much respect for her. I think it's about time. She's right."
The 'Sinister' star added that having three daughters - Maya, 17, Clementine, seven, and four-year-old Indiana - has turned him into a feminist.
He said: "People think this gender equality thing has happened, but it's fascinating having three daughters and seeing the world through their eyes. It really does turn you into a feminist."

Natalie Portman to play Jackie Kennedy

Natalie Portman has signed on to star as Jackie Kennedy in 'Jackie'. The 33-year-old actress - who won an Academy Award in 2011 for her performance in the psychological horror film 'Black Swan' - is set to play the part of John F. Kennedy's wife in a ...

Tom Hardy accepted Mad Max role because of Australian cattle dog

Tom Hardy only agreed to star in 'Mad Max: Fury Road' because of his love of an Australian cattle dog.
The 37-year-old actor - who stars alongside Charlize Theron in the new sci-fi movie - has confessed he "didn't connect" with the original trilogy starring Mel Gibson, but was convinced to accept the role of Mad Max Rockatansky because of the canine that appeared in the 1981 film.
He said: "The dog in the second film is very important to me. I knew of Mad Max but I didn't connect with it. I felt a little spooked out by it at the time."
Tom found the original films to be "weird", but the dog captured his imagination.
He told The Sun newspaper: "It was a little bit weird you know. Strange men and women and leather. I connected to that dog though. And then by the time I was 15, 16, 17, I got a dog called Mad Max. He was given to me, actually.
"A black dog, pit bull cross Labrador but I renamed him Maximoose. So there certainly was an interest about this ... now I've ended up playing him."

Diego Luna ‘set to join Star Wars: Rogue One’

Diego Luna is reportedly in talks for a lead role in 'Star Wars: Rogue One'.
The 35-year-old actor is wanted to appear in the Gareth Edwards-directed 'Star Wars' spin-off movie, which will also feature 'The Theory of Everything' actress Felicity Jones and Riz Ahmed.
Diego, who appeared in the 2013 sci-fi movie 'Elysium', is wanted to take up a leading role alongside Felicity, Variety reports.
Meanwhile, at the recent Star Wars Celebration convention in Anaheim, Gareth Edwards gave fans a few clues as to what they can expect from the much-anticipated spin-off.
He shared: "It's set in an era where there are no Jedi, or they're all but extinct.
"It's about the fact that God's not coming to save us. We're on our own - and we have to do this ourselves and turn around.
"The absence of the Jedi is omnipresent - it hangs over the whole movie - and it comes down to a group of individuals that don't have magical powers but have to somehow bring hope to the galaxy."
'Star Wars: Rogue One' is due to be released in December 2016, a year after the J.J. Abrams-directed 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.

Sir Elton John wants to make film of Billy Elliot the Musical

Sir Elton John wants to make a movie of 'Billy Elliot the Musical'.
The 68-year-old singer - who scored the musical, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this week - admitted it would be "lovely" to turn the show into a movie so more people could hear the songs.
He said: "It would be lovely to do a film version.
"There are other songs that we had had to leave out of the musical that would be great in the film."
The story - which follows an 11-year-old boy as he escapes the working class expectations of his family in County Durham to become a ballet dancer - was originally made into an Oscar-nominated film in 2000, but Elton is keen for a "fresh" version to be made with the musical numbers included.
He told BBC: "You can only do so much on stage with the material you've got and the length of the show, so I think if one did a movie of this show it would be nice to change some things and maybe put something fresh in."
Although Elton - who has sons Zachary, four, and Elijah, two, with his husband David Furnish - confessed he would be eager to work on the project, he teased he had "just written" another new musical, although refrained from giving further details.

Anna Kendrick wants six months off acting

Anna Kendrick wants to take "a good six months off and not make movies".
The 'Pitch Perfect 2' actress - who's been travelling promoting the second installment of the musical comedy alongside co-star Rebel Wilson - has admitted the Hollywood film business has taken its toll and she's keen to take an extended break.
The 29-year-old star said: "It's hard to take a step back and see if there's something I should be doing differently.
"At some point I'll have to take a good six months off and not make movies.
"But working for 14 hours a day for months at a time is not sustainable.
"Not being on a set means you can explore the world and enrich your life. It'd probably be wise to invest in those things."
Meanwhile, Anna also said she doesn't fancy relocating to London because she doesn't think it suits her temperament.
She told Stylist magazine: "I find London one of those cities that I'm just too soft to handle unless I had heaps and heaps of money. It's so spread out.
"I don't think I could handle it at this point in my life, it would break me."

Rachel Weisz cast in Snatchback

Rachel Weisz is to star in new thriller film 'Snatchback'.
The 45-year-old star, who's married to British actor Daniel Craig, is to appear in the Pete Travis-directed movie about the world of illegal child recovery.
Weisz has been cast in the role of Mo, whose daughter was abducted by the father when she was just three years old.
Mike Goodridge - the Chief Executive of Protagonist, which is launching the project to buyers in Cannes, France, said Weisz is the perfect "gifted" actress for the role.
He said: "As told by Pete Travis in his riveting script, Mo's story is powerful and exciting, but at its heart are deep maternal emotions that anyone in the world can relate to.
"It's a powerhouse role and only an actress as gifted as Rachel could play it."
The movie is inspired by Maureen Dabbagh, a woman from Virginia whose ex-husband stole their young daughter and took her to the Middle East in 1992.
Maureen spent more than a decade looking for her child before she was finally reunited with her.
'Snatchback' will be filmed later this year, though a release date is still to be set.
