David Ayer: Suicide Squad is set to surprise

'Suicide Squad' is set to throw up a few "surprises".
David Ayer, the director of the much-anticipated comic book movie, has claimed that although various teasers of the film have been released over the last month, there's plenty that's still to be revealed.
The 47-year-old director tweeted: "Well we survived the streets. Time to go dark now. Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact."
In recent weeks, images have been released of the 'Suicide Squad' cast - which includes Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker - dressed in full costume, while another of the movie's cast, Cara Delevingne, has predicted it will be "the best thing in the world".
The London-born star said: "It's f***ing insane. I'm not the biggest fan of superhero films. There are so f**king many. I love the Batmans but some of them I'm not that keen on.
"I've never been so excited to see a film and I'm actually in it.
"I wish I could tell you about it at all. The movie is going to be the best thing in the world. The camaraderie on set is insane."

Sharon Stone: Men are scared of me

Sharon Stone thinks men "run away" from her because of her "sex symbol" status.
The 57-year-old actress - who achieved the status of a sex symbol after her eye-catching performance in the 1992 erotic thriller film 'Basic Instinct' - has revealed she's rarely approached by members of the opposite sex, much to her frustration.
The Hollywood star, who's divorced twice, said: "I wish more guys would throw themselves at me.
"Guys run away. People bought into the story that I'm a sex symbol but I'm not really. I'm really the girl with the baggy clothes and the bag of books.
"People are afraid of me."
In fact, Sharon said the only male attention she receives is from her three adopted sons - Roan, 15, Laird, 10, and nine-year-old Quinn.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "They're at that age when they're starting to become little men.
"So they're starting to carry my bags to the car and open the door for me. And they're leaving notes on the steering wheel of my car like, 'Have a wonderful day at work'.
"They are so great and they make me feel beautiful, like I have a purpose."

Colin Trevorrow will not direct Jurassic Park sequels

Colin Trevorrow will not be directing any 'Jurassic Park' sequels.
The 38-year-old film-maker, who's helmed the eagerly-awaited 'Jurassic World', has suggested the sci-fi franchise would benefit from another director assuming the responsibility for the next movie.
He told Italian website BadTaste: "'Jurassic Park' is like 'Star Wars'. Different directors can give a different taste to each movie.
"I would be involved in some way, but not as director."
Meanwhile, 'Jurassic World' star Chris Pratt recently apologised in advance of the press tour for the movie, insisting he was sorry for anything he may accidentally say.
Writing on his Facebook account, Chris - who's a long-time fan of the franchise - said: "I want to make a heartfelt apology for whatever it is I end up accidentally saying during the forthcoming ‪#‎JurassicWorld‬ press tour. I hope you understand it was never my intention to offend anyone and I am truly sorry. I swear. I'm the nicest guy in the world. And I fully regret what I (accidentally will have) said in (the upcoming foreign and domestic) interview(s). (sic)"
Chris said any unfortunate remarks he makes are because he's simply "dumb".
He wrote: "I am not in the business of making excuses. I am just dumb. Plain and simple. I try. I REALLY try! When I do (potentially) commit the offensive act for which I am now (pre) apologizing you must understand I (will likely have been) tired and exhausted when I (potentially) said that thing I (will have had) said that (will have had) crossed the line. Those rooms can get stuffy and the hardworking crews putting these junkets together need some entertainment! (Likely) that is who I was trying to crack up when I (will have had) made that tasteless and unprofessional comment. Trust me. I know you can't say that anymore. (sic)"

Simon Pegg felt ‘obliged’ to do own stunts with Tom Cruise

Simon Pegg felt "obliged" to do his own stunts opposite Tom Cruise.
The 45-year-old actor - who has appeared alongside Tom, 52, in the 'Mission: Impossible' movie franchise since 2006 - has confessed he felt compelled to ditch the stuntman and take on action-packed scenes himself in order to keep up with the hunky actor.
Simon - who recently filmed the fifth instalment 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' with Tom - explained: "Tom never asks but he has a degree of professionalism you feel obliged to match, because if you didn't you'd let the side down.
"He did all the driving and I did all the sitting in the passenger seat screaming. It was huge fun."
And although the 'Hot Fuzz' star refused to use a stand in for the dangerous stunts he insists he felt completely safe putting his life in the hands of the Golden Globe-winner.
He told The Sun newspaper: "You feel safe. He's not reckless. You know that even though you're haring through an alley in Casablanca at 100mph you are not in any physical danger."
'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' hits cinemas next month.

Chris Pratt’s chance of being Indiana Jones ruined

Chris Pratt believes his 'Jurassic World' co-star has ruined his chances of playing Indiana Jones.
The 35-year-old actor has been hotly-tipped to star as the protagonist in a reboot of the iconic franchise, but revealed an awkward conversation with 13-year-old actor Ty Simpkins on the set of the 'Jurassic Park' sequel may have put director Steven Spielberg off offering him the role.
Recalling the conversation, he explained to The Sunday Times newspaper: "Ty said, 'Chris, are you going to audition for Indiana Jones?' I was, like, 'Oh, I don't know, buddy.' Steven's right there, and Ty is oblivious, this sweet-natured kid, and he goes, 'Yeah, I don't really see it.' I was, like, 'Oh, man, you little s**t! Come on! At least tell him you think it would work.'"
Nevertheless, the acclaimed 68-year-old filmmaker - who acted as a producer on 'Jurassic World' having directed the 1993 original - is considered a pal by Chris, despite the fact he has never spoken to him about the possibility of taking on the role.
Speaking about their relationship, he said they are, "like two dogs who sniff each other's butts. We hang out, and he's never brought it up, and I've never brought it up."

Chris Pine’s pals want him to settle down

Chris Pine's friends want him to settle down.
The 'Star Trek' star, who was arrested for driving under the influence in New Zealand last March, has reportedly been partying a lot in recent weeks and his team are allegedly worried about him.
A source said: "Chris is in high demand as a leading man, but there are real worries that his behaviour could tarnish his reputation."
The heartthrob received a $79 fine and six-month ban on his licence for the incident, but the source said: "He acts like he got away with it."
The 34-year-old actor was recently spotted kissing 'Vanderpump Rules' star Vail Bloom, 32, in Los Angeles, but his pals hope he finds a serious relationship.
The insider added: "His team is worried that Chris' partying will undo everything he's worked so hard for.
"His team is just hoping that he'll finally meet a girl so he can settle down and stay out of trouble."
Chris, who was linked to 'The Newsroom' star Olivia Munn and former 'The Hills' star Audrina Patridge in the past, previously admitted he found it difficult to have a steady relationship in Hollywood.
Speaking about his split from model Dominique Piek in 2013, he told US OK! magazine: "It's really hard in our business to maintain something. For me, right now, it'd be really hard."

Sir Ian McKellen requested at wedding as Gandalf

Sir Ian McKellen was offered a "fortune" to attend someone's wedding dressed as Gandalf.
The 76-year-old actor has revealed people are such big fans of his role as Gandalf the wizard in the 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Hobbit' films that one man even offered to pay him a "very heavy fee" to go to his wedding in costume.
Asked if he's gained lots of young fans since taking on the part, he shared: "It's been very pleasant. And when I meet people's children and grandchildren, they get excited. They love Gandalf and trust him, so they like a chat with his representative - me. I was offered a fortune by a very rich man to appear at his wedding. It was a very heavy fee. I might have done it, but part of the deal was that I show up as Gandalf."
The 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' star previously officiated the marriage of his close pal and co-star Patrick Stewart and admits all he has left to do now is perform a wedding for a lesbian couple.
He explained to heat magazine: "I officiated for Patrick at his wedding, yes. I don't know why they asked me to do that, but I'd already officiated a civil partnership between two men, so all I need now is to do the same with two lesbians and I'll have covered all the bases."

Emilia Clarke has a ‘badass’ mum

Emilia Clarke's mum is "badass" and helped her channel the part of 'Sarach Connor' in the new 'Terminator Genisys' movie.
The 28-year-old revealed that her mum was a big influence on her growing up and the star feels lucky to have been able to play such strong female characters in her career so far.
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine she said: "It's funny to me to talk about strong, independent women because I've got a really badass mum, so I've grown up thinking that women weren't anything other than absolutely equal to men.
She added: "My career so far has been all about playing strong women."
The 'Mother of Dragons' as she is known in the smash-hit series 'Game of Thrones', confessed that she really doesn't want to "f**k up" the role of Sarah Connor and is terrified of being ripped apart by the franchise's legion of fans if she doesn't do the character justice.
She said: "You just can't f**k it up. There's a million billion boy fan-boys who will literally pull my head off if I do."
However the star revealed that she was determined to put her stamp on the character.
She added: "I am not playing a copycat - her back story has changed and I've got to put my own spin on it."

Susan Sarandon doesn’t own a TV

Susan Sarandon doesn't own a television.
The 68-year-old actress, who stars in the new Lifetime miniseries 'The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe,' admits she only ever catches up on the latest TV shows when she is staying in a hotel.
She said: "I have one epiphany after the other when I suddenly see 'Teen Mom' or 'Game of Thrones'."
The Oscar winner plays Norma Jeane's schizophrenic mother Gladys in the two-part adaptation of the 2009 biography.
Asked why she accepted the role, she said: "I'm always up for playing mentally ill. There are so many ways to do it wrong, so I was really challenged. I thought it would be a great learning experience - and it was.
Susan also relished the chance to work with her daughter Eva Amurri Martino, 30, who plays a young Gladys.
She said: "The first time we worked together was on 'Friends' when she was 15. I just wept during the curtain call. She's really good and funny and so professional. I don't have to worry about her."
The 'Tammy' star is also very close to Eva's nine-month-old daughter, Marlowe, and wants her to call her "Honey" instead of grandmother in the future.
She told Us Weekly magazine: "I was asking everybody, 'What do you call your grandma?' My hairdresser said, 'Honey.' It sounded sweet, so I thought, why not?"
