Jason Statham: I’d make a good James Bond

Jason Statham thinks he'd make a "decent" James Bond.
The 47-year-old Hollywood star has revealed he'd love the opportunity to appear as the secret agent in the iconic franchise, but said his version would be markedly different to that portrayed by Daniel Craig.
He said: "Could I do it? Abso-f***ing-lutely. Would I do it? Abso-f***ing-lutely. Is Daniel Craig a great Bond? Abso-f***ing-lutely.
"Yeah, I'd make a decent Bond. But it'd be very, very different if I did it."
By contrast, Jason - who's been dating model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley since 2010 - has no ambition to play the role of a Bond villain.
He told the Guardian newspaper: "I don't know if I wanna to do that. That's not my thing. I'd rather play the other guy."
Meanwhile, Jason admitted his career is on a peak at the moment - following the success of 'Furious 7' and the release of new action comedy movie 'Spy' - but he doesn't think it will last forever, admitting the industry is "unpredictable".
He said: "It's a good spot. But it's very unpredictable. It's inevitable what goes up must come down."

Victor Rasuk bemoans Sam Taylor-Johnson’s Fifty Shades exit

Victor Rasuk thinks it will "suck" not having Sam Taylor-Johnson direct the next 'Fifty Shades' movie.
The 31-year-old actor - who starred as José Rodriguez in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' - has revealed his personal disappointment at Sam's decision to walk away from the sequel, but is "excited" to welcome a new director.
Victor said: "Obviously I have both a personal relationship with her and Aaron [Taylor Johnson]. It's rare you get to work with people you love.
"We all had a personal relationship with her so we're all going to miss her. With Sam, she did such an amazing job, especially with Dakota [Johnson] as she was completely instrumental in bringing out that female voice.
"Obviously that's going to suck. But a new director will bring a new voice and I'm excited about having that."
Victor also revealed he's looking forward to reprising the role of Anastasia Steele's best friend in the follow-up movie, having developed a good working relationship with 'Fifty Shades' author E.L. James.
He admitted: "I'm very excited. Like you, I don't know much about it, but it is evident from the books that Jose is in all three.
"[E.L. James] and I had a good relationship, so I'm hoping [I'll be asked back]."

Lost Star Wars film to be remade

A lost 'Star Wars' mini-film is to be remade through crowd-funding.
'Black Angel' - which was first screened as a short in cinemas over 35 years ago alongside 'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back' - is to be turned into a feature-length epic that will star 'Lord of the Rings' actor John Rhys-Davies and Dutch star Rutger Hauer, who appeared in 'Blade Runner'.
Original director Roger Christian said: "I wrote 'Black Angel' as an epic adventure inspired by the great Samurai films.
"For the feature film, I want the audience to experience the intensity of the battles where life or death is the only prize.
"Like the first 'Star Wars' and 'Alien' we are going for absolute reality, engaging the audience in the drama so they feel like they are really there in this ancient world, shot in staggeringly beautiful landscapes, ancient cities and castles.
"With flying demons and sorcerers, princesses and knights, armies of the undead and an evil god of the underworld, we are filming down and dirty; ultimate realism that audiences hunger for and the world I am passionate to create on film again."
Fans who donate to the remake could become an extra in the movie, own a prop from the set or sit in on post-production.
The 45-day campaign goes live today (02.06.15), with a fundraising target of £66,000.

Ray Winstone uses sunbeds

Ray Winstone enjoys using sunbeds.
The 58-year-old star, who's appeared in a string of hit movies, such as 'Nil by Mouth' and 'The Departed', has revealed he likes to give himself a tanned appearance before he jets off on holiday.
He revealed: "As I've got older I like sitting down, as long as the bar is close.
"I've actually started reading books, or listening to them if I'm feeling really lazy.
"I also find that if you have a couple of sunbeds before you go away, you stop yourself burning and come back looking like a local."
What's more, Ray reminisced about a meeting he enjoyed with a shaman in Venezuela, explaining he reminded him of Ray's beloved soccer team, West Ham United.
He told Conde Nast Traveller: "His feathers were claret and blue, which are the West Ham colours, and he liked whisky.
"We conversed, I don't know how, seeing as I was talking Cockney and he was talking Venezuelan Indian, but we somehow understood one another and we just rabbited on. It was obviously the whisky."
The London-born star also admitted - using rhyming slang - he never goes on holiday without packing a suit.
He said: "You never know when you might need a nice whistle."

Liam Neeson: Bryan Mills is a normal hero

Liam Neeson thinks Bryan Mills is a "normal" hero.
The 62-year-old Hollywood star, who plays the former government operative in the action movie franchise, has claimed the series' success can be attributed to Bryan's relatable personality.
Explaining the popularity of the franchise, Liam said: "I think people respond to him because at heart he's a normal guy. He's a normal father trying to make ends meet, trying to do what's right for his family, and I think we all can empathise with that. And yet he's got a button, and when that button is pressed because of danger to his family, he goes into a different category of human being. And audiences seem to like that.
"It gives them a cathartic release. For this guy to be able to do stuff that they can't do, or wouldn't do, you know?
"But Bryan Mills seems to be able to get away with it, and that's always fun to see in the cinema I think."
The Oscar-winning actor reprised the role for 'Taken 3' and revealed how much he loved working with director Olivier Megaton again.
Liam shared: "I trust him completely. I really trust his artistic side, his artistic taste.
"We rarely argue, we rarely are at opposites, we usually always see eye to eye and he spends as much time on the action sequences as he does on the drama sequences which I really like and respect him for."
'Taken 3' is out on Digital HD now and on Blu-ray and DVD on June 15th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Eddie Redmayne confirmed for Harry Potter spin-off

Eddie Redmayne will take on the lead role in 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'.
Warner Brothers have confirmed the 'Theory of Everything' star will play Newt Scamander, "the Wizarding World's preeminent magizoologist" in the hotly-anticipated prequel, reports Deadline.
The movie - based upon the eponymous book by J.K Rowling - takes place 70 years before Harry Potter and his friends arrive at Hogwarts and follows Newt as he travels the globe encountering and documenting "a myriad of magical creatures."
It was first announced last month Redmayne, 33, had entered into talks to take on the character and the movie's director David Yates is thrilled to officially have him on board.
Yates - who helmed the final four Harry Potter films in the eight-movie franchise - said in a statement: "Eddie is a fearless actor, brimming with invention, wit and humanity.
"I couldn't be more excited about the prospect of working with him as we start this new adventure in J.K. Rowling's wonderful world, and I know she feels the same way."
'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' is set for release next year.

Sir Ian McKellen ‘surprised’ by Mr. Holmes

Sir Ian McKellen is "surprised" by his new movie 'Mr. Holmes'.
The 76-year-old actor, who's previously starred in 'The Hobbit' and 'X-Men' franchises, plays the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes in the new crime drama film and has confessed he was taken aback that it's so "sweet".
Sir Ian explained: "I was rather surprised. It's very very engaging and very sweet.
"It's about an old man, Sherlock Holmes, who is trying to solve his last mystery. It's the mystery that sent him into retirement and he is trying to solve what went wrong. Why didn't I solve it properly? Why did Doctor Watson write down lies all about this case?
"And he's helped out by a little boy and what is curious for me is that this all occurs just after the Second World War."
Sir Ian also revealed he's set to sing in the live-action version of 'Beauty And The Beast', in which he plays the role of the clock.
He told BBC Radio 2: "I play a clock. And my name is Cogsworth. And I get to sing. I'm sorry I'm not allowed to tell you what I sing. It's terribly exciting!"

Breakfast at Tiffany’s Live set for London premiere

'Breakfast at Tiffany's Live' is set to debut at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The world premiere live-in-concert screening will see the iconic movie - starring Audrey Hepburn - shown in full, while it is accompanied by Henry Mancini's Oscar-winning score performed by an orchestra and a choir.
Looking forward to the production, Lucy Noble, the Director of Events at the Royal Albert Hall, said: "This iconic film is famous for many things: Audrey Hepburn's peerless sense of style, the headily romantic atmosphere, an exceptional cat, and - of course - Henry Mancini's timeless score, including the classic song 'Moon River'.
"This unique event will bring the music centre-stage, quite literally, as it is performed live and in full by an orchestra and choir.
"This is 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' as it has never been seen - or heard - before, so grab a pastry and a 'huckleberry friend' and head for the Royal Albert Hall in June."
The 1961 comedy-drama is often cited as one of the greatest movies ever made and the event has been created to celebrate Mancini's score at one of the world's most historic venues.
