Ridley Scott on ‘Prometheus’ sequels

Ridley Scott says there will be a 'Prometheus 4'.
The 77-year-old director made the classic sci-fi horror movie in 1979 as a prequel to 'Alien' but it took off in its own right and has now revealed to fans - who were hoping that 'Prometheus 2' would finally combine the two stories when it's released in 2017 - that there will be two further sequels.
Ridley said: "Prometheus has its own story to tell before it eventually ties into the movie that started it all...it won't be in the next one. It will be in the one after this one or maybe even a fourth film before we get back into the 'Alien' franchise."
'Prometheus 2' is based on two scientists - played by Noomi Rapace and Logan Marshall-Green - who find a clue to mankind's origins on Earth.
And the acclaimed director - whose other recent credits include 'The Martian' and 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' - insists it is too early in the timeline to bring the stories together.
He told Colider: "The whole point of it is to explain the 'Alien' franchise and to explain the how and why of the creation of the Alien itself."
'Prometheus 2' hits cinemas May 2017.

Sofia Carson pretended to be Belle from 'Beauty and the Beast' as a child.

Sofia exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I always loved Belle from 'Beauty and the Beast'. I always thought I looked like her, so I dressed like her for every Halloween. It's pretty ridiculous. My sister though, was obsessed with Tinker Bell."
Meanwhile, Sofia's on-screen co-star Booboo Stewart revealed Tinker Bell - from the 'Peter Pan' stories - to be his favourite Disney character of all time, partly because he felt able to relate to her.
He shared: "Tinker Bell is one of my favourite characters. I always just saw a little piece of myself in Tinker Bell.
"The blonde hair and I was always smaller. I'm still not a very large person, so I always felt I was close to her."
'Descendants' premieres on Disney Channel at 5.30pm on Friday, September 25.
Disney's 'Descendants' soundtrack is available now from Walt Disney Records. The soundtrack includes songs performed by the cast with four bonus tracks.

'Descendants' star Sofia Carson is inspired by the success of Selena Gomez.
The 22-year-old actress - who appears in the role of Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen, in Disney's new musical fantasy film - has revealed she's eager to follow in the footsteps of the 23-year-old beauty, who's established herself as one of America's top singers and actresses.
Asked which of Disney's former stars have inspired her career, Sofia exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm a huge fan of all of them. I was definitely a huge Selena Gomez fan.
"But all of the shows, 'Raven', 'Lizzie McGuire', with Hilary Duff - all of them. I admire anyone who is in this business.
"Oh, Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake. Shia LaBeouf is an amazing actor."
And as well as appearing in the movie, Sofia is also set to launch her own music career, revealing her debut album will be "pop".
She shared: "I always wanted to make a pop record. I'm a dancer myself, so I want to make something that people listen to and just want to dance to. There's actually some more rhythmic pop and cool stuff, and there's also some more mainstream pop as well.
"I also love writing soulful ballads so I take inspiration from Sam Smith, Adele - oh, they're both British! And in terms of pop, definitely Rihanna and Taylor Swift. I always really liked Jennifer Lopez."

Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘likes’ new Conan script

Arnold Schwarzenegger has seen a script for a new 'The Legend of Conan' movie that he "really likes" and he's very keen to start work on the movie.
The 68-year-old actor shot to fame in the cult 1982 film 'Conan the Barbarian' as the pre-historic warrior and he reprised the role in 1984's 'Conan the Destroyer'.
Since 2012, Universal Pictures has been developing the new instalment in the franchise with Schwarzenegger returning as well as characters from the first movie.
The action legend has now been presented with the story and is ready to don his battle clothes and pick up his sword once again.
He told website IGN UK: "I've seen a script I really like, and every time I see fans, they demand a new 'Conan'. The role means so much to me and I would love to do it again."
Schwarzenegger - whose 'Terminator' character will appear as a playable character in upcoming video game 'WWE 2K16' - has also long been rumoured to be making a 'Twins' sequel.
'Triplets' is set to star the actor and Danny DeVito back as the brothers with the addition of Eddie Murphy to the family, and Schwarzenegger has confirmed several talks have taken place.
He said: "Eddie is hilarious. We've met about it several times, and I think we all want to do it, but some things take time to get off the ground."
Two versions of Schwarzenegger's T-800 cyborg from 'The Terminator' and 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day' films are available as playable characters to gamers who pre-order 'WWE 2K16' for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles ahead of its international release on October 30, 2015.

John Boyega cried at Star Wars: The Force Awakens script

John Boyega cried when he first read the script for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
The 23-year-old actor has opened up about auditioning for the role of Jedi-in-training Finn in the highly-anticipated film to confess he couldn't hold back his tears when he read the plot.
He said: "When I read the script I cried, and I'm not really a big crier ... I'm more like a frog-in-the-throat kind of guy, who'll try to hold it in and make sure I don't let it all out."
The up-and-coming star also compared auditioning for the movie - which is directed by J.J. Abrams - to competing in a talent show.
He told GQ Style magazine: "I was unleashed into seven months of auditions.
"It was like 'The X Factor' but without the TV show around it. It was intense."
And although Boyega - who previously starred in 2011 film 'Attack The Block' - and his co-stars are sworn to secrecy when it comes to revealing details of the upcoming movie, he's described his character as "quirky and charismatic and funny".
He added: "Finn is dope. He is a heightened Hollywood leading man version of myself; his story is so epic."

Wesley Snipes wants Blade to join the Avengers

Wesley Snipes wants Blade to feature in the 'Avengers' franchise.
Although it's been over 10 years since 2004's 'Blade: Trinity' was released, Wesley insists he's still physically fit enough to portray the Marvel comics human-vampire hybrid again on the big screen and he would be interested in joining the 'Avengers' team.
He said: "That would be interesting. I mean, I know it's in the comic book. It would be interesting to see where they would place him and where he really would fit in. He's got to bite somebody. I don't know who he's going to bite."
However, Wesley would also be happy for another standalone 'Blade' movie, if Marvel agree.
He told Huff Post Live: "There's always a possibility, you know. It's in Marvel's hands. They're controlling the pace and the flow with that. Conversations have been good. They see the value in it. We see the value in it.
"I'm still in shape enough and fit enough to handle the role. We'll see how it goes. I don't really know what's going to happen to it yet."
The original 'Blade' movie was released in 1998 and was Marvel's first significant box-office hit.
Since then, the movie studio has enjoyed incredible success with some of its other comic book characters, such as 'Iron Man', 'Captain America' and 'The Avengers'.

Chiwetel Ejiofor: I want Michael Pena as Bond

Michael Pena should be the next James Bond, according to Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The '12 Years a Slave' actor widened the the possible of list of contenders by throwing his 'The Martian' co-star's name into the hat to succeed Daniel Craig as 007.
Chiwetel said: "I want Michael Pena to be James Bond. That's what I want."
Michael - whose parents hail from Mexico - has starred in 'American Hustle', 'Fury', 'Ant Man' and 'Crash'.
By putting his friend's name forward, Chiwetel ruled himself out of the running but said the debate puts the spotlight on diversity in film.
Speaking in an interview with Variety, he explained: "I think that there are the same challenges for diversity existing everywhere. And it's something that we're going to struggle with until we figure it out, we haven't yet, but we're getting there."
Meanwhile Pierce Brosnan, who starred in four 007 films between 1995 and 2002, sparked controvery when he predicted the iconic British spy will be white.
He said: "Anything is possible for sure, but I think he'll be male and he'll be white.
Though he added: "There's wonderful black actors out there who could be James Bond, and there's no reason why you cannot have a black James Bond."
Whilst 007 author Anthony Horowitz caused a public outcry and was forced to apologise when he sugested Idris Alba was "too street" to play Bond.
Daniel Craig reprises his role as Bond for the fourth time in upcoming movie 'Spectre' to be released in November.

Adeel Akhtar hopes Convenience will inspire filmmakers

Adeel Akhtar hopes 'Convenience' will inspire would-be filmmakers.
The 35-year-old actor appears alongside the likes of Ray Panthaki, Verne Troyer and Vicky McClure in the new comedy movie, and thinks it's proof that good cinema needn't always command a big budget.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the movie's London premiere at Curzon Soho, Adeel shared: "Vicky is amazing, she's in character all the time and buzzing on all levels. And Ray was an incredible director and has been working really really hard for it.
"But I love his style, it shows that, you know it's an £80,000 budget and it feels good that you can get a film like this off the ground."
Adeel - who also starred in the comedy movie 'Four Lions' in 2010 - said he feels reassured by working on independent film projects, and hopes it will inspire a new generation of moviemakers.
He explained: "It makes you feel good that that's what happens and it hopefully makes other people feel it's doable - that you can pick up a camera and get things going."
'Convenience' is in cinemas October 2 and On Demand/DVD October 5.

Hugh Jackman: Career success is a mystery

Hugh Jackman considers his career success a "mystery".
The 46-year-old star, who's appeared in a string of box-office successes, has admitted good fortune and "fate" have played a central part in his rise.
Speaking at Claridge's hotel in London earlier today (22.09.15) to promote his new movie 'Pan', Hugh told BANG Showbiz: "A lot of [career success] is a mystery. In hindsight I can look back and for something like 'Wolverine', another actor was cast and I'd auditioned and I didn't get the part."
However, Hugh secured the iconic role of Wolverine in 1999 after Dougray Scott was unable to take up the part.
He said: "The other actor ended up being injured and stuck on a film and I happened to be in Los Angeles at the time actually organising things around the adoption of my son.
"I can look back and go, maybe it's fate or something in there. Or call it luck whatever you want.
"Of course there are moments like that for all of us in life, good and bad. I suppose as an actor, the only thing you control is working hard, having a lot of fun and if you do have a chance, making the most of it."
