Peyton Reed in talks to helm Ant-Man sequel

Peyton Reed is in talks to helm an 'Ant-Man' sequel.
The 51-year-old filmmaker directed the Marvel sci-fi movie earlier this year and he's currently locked in negotiations with the studio to lead 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Even before the studio confirmed the sequel, Peyton admitted he'd be interesting to returning to the directing role, saying: "Listen, if we were lucky enough to be able to do a sequel or even a prequel, I'd be way into it.
"I've really fallen in love with these characters. I was always in love with the characters in the comic book world, but there's a lot of story to tell with Hank Pym."
Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are both are both set to return for the sequel, but it's not yet known if the other members of the original cast will be reprising their roles.
Speaking earlier this year, Paul revealed he'd love to return to the part of Ant-Man for a movie sequel.
He said: "If we're fortunate enough to do another 'Ant-Man' movie, I would love to do it."
'Ant-Man and the Wasp' is set to release in July 2018.

Bruce Willis backs Die Hard prequel

Bruce Willis is "happy" 'Die Hard 6' will be a prequel.
The star of the action movie franchise has backed the idea of making the sixth installment in the franchise - which is set to be titled 'Die Hard: Year One' - an origin story and even hinted that the plot will see the story flick between the past and the present.
Bruce revealed: "I'm very happy about it because it's the origin story. It happens at the beginning and we're going to bounce back and forth."
The 60-year-old actor starred as troubled detective John McLane in all five 'Die Hard' films and is expected to reprise his role once again, although the sixth film will be set in New York City in 1979.
However, Bruce will play a present-day version of McClane and he denied having any knowledge of who will play his earlier self.
He told ET Online: "We're not there yet. Hopefully he's got a hard head".
Meanwhile, 'Total Recall' filmmaker Len Wiseman is in negotiations with 20th Century Fox and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura to direct the upcoming sixth instalment in the action franchise.
However, production for the prequel-style project is far off as they are yet to find a screenwriter.

Barack Obama wishes Michael J. Fox a happy Back to the Future Day

US President Barack Obama has wished Michael J. Fox a happy 'Back to the Future' Day.
The 54-year-old politician took to his Twitter account to extend his best wishes to the Canadian-American actor, who starred in the iconic sci-fi franchise and who, in 'Back to the Future Part II', travelled forward in time to October 21, 2015.
Obama said: "Happy Back to the Future Day, @RealMikeFox! Ever think about the fact that we live in the future we dreamed of then? That's heavy, man."
And the 54-year-old star didn't waste much time in responding to the message.
He wrote: "Mr. President, I never dreamed I'd be talking about the future with someone who's making History. (sic)"
Earlier this week, Christopher Lloyd - who played the part of Dr. Emmett L. Brown in the franchise - hailed the enduring appeal of the 'Back to the Future' movies.
He said: "There's no other character that has come up, that keeps going for 30 years.
"They all have their time, and then they fade away. 'Back to the Future' refuses to fade away. I saw it last night, and I have to say it seems fresh and contemporary, not 1985, 1986. It has a lot of laughs."

SPECTRE’s tight schedule

'SPECTRE' was still being edited nine days before its release.
The film's lead actor Daniel Craig says director Sam Mendes made his final edits to the film last Saturday (17.10.15) despite the fact the movie goes on general release on Monday (26.10.15).
He shared: "Sam finished editing the movie on Saturday, which is the wettest print - because we release next Monday."
And the 47-year-old actor revealed he went through many suits to play the fictional spy because he has to have a new outfit for every day of filming.
He added: "However long it takes to shoot 30 seconds, which can be a day, we have to have one suit for that day, one suit for the next day.
"Every stage of the fight has a different suit. We can get through 30 suits for one sequence."
Daniel - who is married to actress Rachel Weisz and has a daughter, Ella, from a previous relationship - also insists his family "hate" him as he had to be away from them for eight months whilst working on the film.
Speaking on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, he said: "I'm away from home for eight months so you have to. There's no other way of doing it. My family hate me. They're just starting to forgive me now."

Jessica Chastain tries to inspire young women

Jessica Chastain chooses roles that inspire young women.
The 38-year-old actress - who stars in the new sci-fi movie 'The Martian' - has revealed she's made a conscious decision to accept movie parts that encourage young girls to pursue their ambitions.
She told the Huffington Post: "I have to be careful when I'm choosing roles.
"I want little girls to watch 'The Martian' and say, 'I want to be the commander of a mission to Mars,' 'I want to be in this movie,' and [to see] that actually, it's OK -- you can have these desires to be a writer and fall in love and do all this, and you can actually save yourself."
Meanwhile, Jessica recently praised Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence after she spoke out about the gender pay gap in Hollywood.
She said: "I'm proud of her. Sometimes when you're doing well, you're afraid to say something's wrong because then there's going to be a bunch of people out there going 'OK, well, you're a big old movie star.' But it doesn't matter."
Jessica said it's wrong actors are paid more than their female counterparts for doing the same job in a movie.
The flame-haired actress added: "There's no excuse. There's no reason why she should be doing a film with other actors and get paid less than her male co-stars.
"It's completely unfair. It's not right. It's been happening for years and years and years. I think it's brave to talk about it. I think everyone should talk about it."

Christopher Lloyd would ‘love’ a Back to the Future return

Christopher Lloyd would "love" to return to the part of Doc Brown from 'Back to the Future'.
The 76-year-old actor appeared in the original movies in the ever-popular sci-fi franchise and has revealed he'd be keen to reprise the role, although he's admitted it's an unlikely prospect.
He told Entertainment Weekly: "It would have to be really, really innovative and match the quality of the first films, and that's a tough thing to do.
"Usually sequels don't measure up to the quality of the original. It'd be tough at this point."
Meanwhile, Robert Zemeckis - who created and directed the original sci-fi movies, starring Michael J. Fox - revealed recently that he will block any attempt to make another 'Back to the Future' movie.
Asked if he'd like to make another film, Robert said: "Oh, God no.
"That can't happen until both [co-writer Bob Gale] and I are dead. And then I'm sure they'll do it, unless there's a way our estates can stop it."
The original 'Back to the Future' movie was released in July 1985 and has made close to a billion dollars worldwide.

New Mary Poppins movie won’t be a remake

Disney's new 'Mary Poppins' movie won't be a remake of the 1964 original.
Director Rob Marshall has revealed the plot of the much-discussed new movie is based on the books by P.L. Travers, but will be distinct from the classic film starring Julie Andrews.
Rob shared: "It is not a new 'Mary Poppins'. P.L. Travers wrote eight books all together. They worked from the first book, and we are working from the other books, not touching the iconic brilliance of 'Mary Poppins'.
"This is an extension. I'm a huge fan of the original, and I'm a very good friend of Julie Andrews, and I hold it in such awe. There is all this new material - it was the 'Harry Potter' of its time - and they were never turned into anything further than that adventure."
What's more, the director revealed he'd be keen to involve Julie Andrews in the project in some capacity.
He told Vulture: "She is a very dear friend, and if she could be involved in some way, it would be very special. I know she is very happy that we're doing it and, after 50 years, feels that it is time."

Vin Diesel wants Michael Caine to continue acting

Vin Diesel is keen for Sir Michael Caine to delay his retirement.
The 48-year-old action hero is a long-time friend of the Hollywood icon - who famously retires after every movie he makes - and has revealed he's keen for Sir Michael to remain in the film industry, having recently starred alongside him in 'The Last Witch Hunter'.
Recalling how Sir Michael became involved with the supernatural film, Vin said: "The legend was saying he was going to retire. And then he read the role and he couldn't refuse it."
And Vin told ITV's 'Lorraine': "I don't want him to retire."
Meanwhile, Sir Michael revealed recently that he and Vin have been friends for more than a decade, describing him as a "great guy" and explaining that they share a similar background.
Sir Michael told BANG Showbiz: "Our friendship has been going on for 12 or 13 years. God knows where we met. It was in America somewhere and we became friends.
"I suppose it's because we're very similar. We both come from working-class, very poor backgrounds. We're very similar. And he's a great guy, too, that's the other thing."

Spectre sets James Bond running time record

'Spectre' is the longest ever James Bond movie to be made.
The Sam Mendes-directed film is nearly two and a half hours long and has outrun the previous records set by 'Casino Royale' and 'Skyfall - which clocked up an impressive 144 and 143 minutes respectively - at a whopping 148 minutes, according to official ticketing information.
What's more, the record-breaking movie spawned the franchise's first ever theme tune, written and performed by 23-year-old pop star Sam Smith, to reach number one in the UK charts with 'Writings on The Wall'.
Daniel Craig - the franchise's seventh actor to play the British spy - revealed he put every idea he ever had in his "Bond bank" into 'Spectre' and has no idea what's coming in the next installment.
He told Shortlist: "Every idea I've had for a Bond movie, I've stuck into this one. It's gone in. The Bond bank is dry. If you're asking me what would I do with another Bond movie? I haven't a clue. Go into space? Let's do it! they already did it. Let's do it again."
'Spectre' - which also stars Naomie Harris and Monica Bellucci - opens later this month.
