Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose are reportedly set to join the cast of 'xXx: The Return of Xander Cage'.
'The Vampire Diaries' beauty and the 'Orange Is the New Black' actress will be joining Vin Diesel in the movie when filming starts later this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The outlet claims Nina has been cast as a "witty and sarcastic techie", while Ruby will take on the role of a sniper.
Ruby has only one film in her catalogue - the 2013 project 'Around the Block' - but is currently filming 'John Wick 2' and will also appear in 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter'.
Meanwhile, Nina is a more experienced movie actress, and has starred in films including 'Let's Be Cops', 'The Perks of a Wallflower' and 'The Roommate'.
Vin will be reprising his role as Xander for the third film in the franchise - having originally appeared in the 2002 movie but declining to appear in the 2005 sequel.
Announcing the news of his return to the part in an Instagram post last year, Vin wrote: "While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel... The time to return has come. Filming starts December in the Philippines. #ILiveForThisS**t."
D.J. Caruso will helm the film, with Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone also in the cast.
Speaking recently about the prospect of the third 'xXx' film, Vin told io9: "I'm excited as hell about 'xXx'. D.J. Caruso is directing it, which is exciting.
"'xXx' is one of those films you do when you need to have a little fun. When the weight and pressures of all the other things have gone so far that you need to have a character that you can just have fun and more comment on life and comment on the outcome than being in it like Dom Torretto [from Fast and Furious].
"Dom is very much the centre of the storm, Xander is more the guide to something else and you're just with him."

Tim Roth has teased a sequel to 'The Hateful Eight'.
The 54-year-old British actor stars as Oswaldo "The Little Man" Mobray in Quentin Tarantino's latest western - alongside Samuel L. Jackson (Major Marquis Warren) and Kurt Russell (John 'The Hangman' Ruth) - and revealed they are still "prodding" the material, and there is much more that could lend itself to a second plot.
Speaking in an interview with Metro newspaper about the story - which is based on rival bounty hunters in post-Civil War Wyoming - he spilled: "He gave us a very detailed backstory which begged him to make it as a film. Like please please do this, it's so good. It's insane the backstory, for how they are there, why they are there, all of that deal. We are still prodding it ... It's fantastic, it's nuts."
The movie was shot in Ultra Panavision 70 - a format used only on 10 films since its discovery in the 1950s and most famously on the 1959 historical epic drama 'Ben-Hur' - and has been nominated for three Golden Globes.
And Roth believes the "universe" of 'The Hateful Eight' could spout a number of interesting threads to explore.
He added: "He (Tarantino) creates such a fabulous little universe, that you could never come up with enough."
Elsewhere, the film has been met with trouble in the UK after cinema chain Cineworld decided not to show it because they objected to a deal with Odeon to have the exclusive rights for showing it in London's West End.
But the movie's distributor, Entertainment Film, has released a statement and explained that the special facilities required for the unique 70mm Ultra Panavision presentation, meant they "needed the largest theatre and screen possible in the West End and the Odeon Leicester Square was the natural choice".

'Creed' director Ryan Coogler wants to helm a Hollywood adaptation of the hit Broadway musical 'Hamilton'.
The 29-year-old filmmaker - whose handling of the latest instalment of the 'Rocky' franchise starring Michael B. Jordan has earned him much critical acclaim - was wowed when he saw Lin-Manuel Mirand's ground-breaking hip hop production about the life of 18th Century Founding Father of the United States Alexander Hamilton, who acted as the chief staff aide to General George Washington.
Coogler admits he would love the chance to bring the show to the big screen, but is sure every other director in Hollywood also wants the job.
Variety quizzed Coogler on whether he could take on a film adaptation of 'Hamilton', to which he replied: "I think anyone who ever picked up a camera would. That's all people are talking about in California right now."
He added: "It was really amazing to see this play that takes two things, hip hop and the American Revolution - things that you would think wouldn't have anything to do with each other - but they actually fit each other like a glove."
The musical is based on the biography of the same name by historian Ron Chernow which tells the true story of the life of Alexander Hamilton who went from being an orphan growing up in the Caribbean to one of the most powerful and influential figures in American history before being killed by his former friend Aaron Burr.
Coogler believes he would be perfect for the job because he can give a fresh outlook on the way in which historical dramas are depicted on screen.
He said: "I'm taking a new approach and a new passion to looking at history - specifically American history.
"You look at the idea of the underdog, the idea of people feeling like they are being overlooked ... And the short-sightedness that revolutionaries could have at times."

Olivia Wilde's son enabled her to bring her interpretation of her 'Meadowland' character to "another level".
The 31-year-old actress gave birth to Otis shortly before she began filming the new movie, which tells the story of a woman who struggles to cope with the loss of a young son.
While the subject matter could have been difficult for Olivia to deal with so soon after becoming a mother herself, she insists that parenthood gave her the chance to bring a new aspect to her character.
She said: "It [having Otis] made it a lot more intense. I found myself going home at the end of the night and feeling incredibly grateful to be alive, and to have my son, and for him to be alive. People have asked me after every single screening how I could possibly work on this film while having a new child and did I go home depressed every day? But of course, it's the opposite.
"I went home so elated because I had recognised my good fortune. Sometimes it takes the exploration of darkness to recognise light. I find that it's important for people to engage in the more difficult stories to be able to recognise the positive parts of life."
Olivia stars alongside Luke Wilson in the film, which she also produced, and says having the chance to be behind the camera as well as in front of it is something every actor should do at some point in their career.
She added to Deadline: "Every actor should at some point in their lives produce and/or direct because it certainly fuels your resolve on set as an actor to do the best job you can. Because you're suddenly very aware of what a miracle it is to get a movie done."

Denzel Washington is like a "sheepherder" on set.
Filmmaker Antoine Fuqua directs the 60-year-old actor alongside Ethan Hawke and Chris Pratt in their forthcoming movie 'The Magnificent Seven' - which is a Hollywood remake on the 1960 classic western that starred Steve McQueen - and revealed Denzel had a natural desire to look after everyone and was a great "leader" during filming.
Antoine revealed: "Denzel is the lead in the film and he's definitely a leader on set. But he believes in leading from behind - something he learned from Nelson Mandela, who always said that 'the sheepherder leads from behind.' At the beginning of the shoot, Denzel went into every castmember's trailer and had a talk with each one."
Denzel will receive the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 73rd Annual Golden Globes Awards on Sunday (10.01.16) and follows in a long line of stars who have previously been honoured.
George Clooney was the 2015 recipient while others who have won the award include Woody Allen, Jodie Foster, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Robin Williams, Michael Douglas, Al Pacino, Harrison Ford and Barbara Streisand.
And Antoine - who first met the actor on 'Training Day' in 2000 after Denzel specifically requested him for the role - thinks he is a worthy recipient of the accolade.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: "What's it like finding out Denzel Washington wants you to direct his next movie? It's like getting a phone call from Muhammad Ali or Michael Jordan saying they want you to coach them."

Simon Pegg became great friends with his idol Carrie Fisher on the set of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
The 45-year-old actor appears as Unkar Plutt in the sci-fi sequel and was thrilled to get to hang out with the 59-year-old actress - who reprised her role as Leia Organa for the first time since 1983's 'Return of the Jedi' - on set.
Simon has been a life-long 'Star Wars' fan and has confessed it was honour to strike up a friendship with Carrie, a woman whose image he used to kiss before he went to sleep as a child.
Writing in a blog post for EmpireOnline about his experience of making 'The Force Awakens', the actor - who has six-year-old daughter Matilda with his wife Maureen Pegg - shared: "The Christmas of 1978 was easy for my parents. My mother has a photo of me surrounded by freshly opened gifts, including a 'Star Wars' pillow case, book and Princess Leia action figure.
"Now I'm strolling around the Resistance base at Pinewood Studios, arm-in-arm with Carrie Fisher, a woman whose image I used to kiss before bed, talking about how strange it must be being back in the universe. She shrugs it off, but I know she's playing it down because she's tough and cool and funny as f**k. I give her a hug and unabashedly tell her that I love her. She grabs my hand, regarding my wedding ring and shoves me off with a profanity. She is as special to me now as she was then."
Simon also discussed the impact the original movie 'Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope' and the subsequent sequels have had on his life over the last five decades.
He said: "Through good times and bad, as a fan, a student, a detractor and collaborator, 'Star Wars' is without doubt the defining film in my life."
Simon Pegg’s ‘special’ friendship with Carrie Fisher
