Michael Sheen: I’m a trophy boyfriend

Michael Sheen is a "trophy boyfriend" for Hollywood A-listers.
The 47-year-old actor, who has dated Kate Beckinsale and Rachel McAdams, in addition to his current girlfriend Sarah Silverman, has joked that people are only interested in him because of the beautiful women who have surrounded him.
Asked how he has remained so low-key despite his career success, the ‘Midnight in Paris’ star quipped: "It is mainly because people are not interested in me. It is not through any great decision of mine. People tend to only really be interested in me because of who I am with."
The British actor added, self-deprecatingly: "I’ve been with Kate or Rachel [McAdams, the actress who he dated for two years] or Sarah – that’s when [I get attention]. I’m not getting papped constantly. No one really gives much of a s*** about me."
Michael said it is easy for him to maintain a low profile when so much attention is centred on his more glamorous-looking girlfriends.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I am the trophy boyfriend. It is depressingly easy for me to have a low profile life."
Meanwhile, Michael is currently preparing to play in an annual soccer match at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, in aid of Unicef, the world’s leading organisation for children.
The game will feature the likes of Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson from One Direction, as well as a host of current and retired soccer stars.
Michael admitted he is totally unprepared to play against professionals at one of the biggest stadiums in Europe.
He shared: "I haven’t even tried putting on a football boot. I’m leaving it until the last minute to see if I can do it. I don’t even know if I can run, let alone anything else."
