Megan McKenna is planning to release her debut album this summer.
The 25-year-old reality TV star burst onto the music scene last year when she filmed her show ‘There’s Something About Megan’, which documented her journey to become a country music star, and now she’s assured fans they won’t have to wait too much longer before she’ll have a whole collection of very "personal" tracks for them.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the National Television Awards, held at London’s The O2 arena, last night (23.01.18), she said: "I am writing an album. I’ve been working with some amazing producers so the album is going to be very personal. It’s exciting, so I’m in the studio at the moment. Well, next week I’ll be back in the studio. I reckon it will be ready for release around summer time."
Megan has received rave reviews following the release of her singles ‘High Heeled Shoes’ and ‘Far Cry From Love’ last year and she’s hoping everyone loves her album just as much because she’s keen to tour it after the success of her Christmas gigs.
She explained: "I will be touring, I’ve got some big gigs lined up.
"Hopefully everyone likes it. My Christmas gigs sold out and they were absolutely rammed. I’m just grateful that everyone loved it."
