Maura Higgins thinks Love Island ratings dropped because she isn’t on the show

Maura Higgins thinks ‘Love Island’s ratings have dropped because she isn’t on the show.
The Irish beauty – who is currently competing on ‘Dancing On Ice’ – believes there are less people tuning into the programme because she’s not in the famous villa.
She said: "I have seen that the viewers have dropped – maybe it’s not getting as many viewers because they need Maura Higgins. But I feel like I don’t find the boys as hot this series. I don’t fancy any of them."
Maura – who found love with dancer Curtis Pritchard on the ITV2 show in 2019 – has also opened up about her friendship with skating professional Alexander Demetriou, admitting they regularly get quite intimate whilst training but she is "so relaxed" about it.
She added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "The awkward grabs do happen and we end up accidentally touching each other’s bits, it’s true – it’s the closest you’ll ever get to someone outside of a relationship, but I don’t feel uncomfortable at all. I’m so relaxed with Alex, we get on so well."
Maura had previously revealed she had taken a liking to Shaughna, claiming they could be "besties", whilst she admitted she wasn’t so keen on twins Jess and Eve Gale.
She said: "I am loving Shaughna, I think she is so real. I’m loving the craic from her … she’s just real and her one-liners are just epic. I reckon if I was in there this year she’d definitely be my bestie …
"Not too keen on the twins … no, I just think they’re excluding themselves from the group and I don’t think it’s going to do them any favours."
