Kiersey Clemons joins Ezra Miller in The Flash

Ezra Miller is to be joined by Kiersey Clemons in ‘The Flash’.
The 22-year-old actress will star as Iris West opposite the 23-year-old actor, who is playing Barry Allen/The Flash, according to Variety.
Clemons has long been rumoured to be taking up the role of Iris, the tough reporter, friend and sometimes love interest of the title hero.
The Flash, which is based on the DC comic hero, is soaked one night in chemicals after they are hit by lightining, thus giving him the power to move at super speeds.
He uses his new-found powers to protect Central City from the threats it faces.
The film ran into problems when the original director Seth Grahame-Smith left the project over creative differences.
‘Dope’s’ director Rick Famuyiwa subsequently took over directing duties, so it’s perhaps no surprise that he has cast Clemons, who starred in his 2015 movie.
Despite these setbacks, ‘The Flash’ is reportedly starting production on time, with filming due to begin this year and its release scheduled for 2018.
Since her role as Diggy in ‘Dope’, Clemons has also been cast in the upcoming remake of ‘Flatliners’, in which she will star alongside Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton and Kiefer Sutherland.
