Kerry Katona has apologised to Charlotte Crosby for calling her a "cross-eyed fish".
The 39-year-old reality TV star bashed the former ‘Geordie Shore’ star for having too many cosmetic surgery procedures leaving her looking as though she has "got stuck between two lift doors".
But after receiving backlash for her words, Kerry has publicly apologised to Charlotte – who is currently competing on the Australian version of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
Writing in her New! magazine column, Kerry said: "I feel I need to apologise to Charlotte Crosby after my comments in this column last week. I said she looked like a cross-eyed fish, but it was all meant to be very tongue-in-cheek."
The former Atomic Kitten singer is adamant that she never intended for her comments to be "malicious or cruel" but she does wish that Charlotte would stop changing her face.
Kerry continued: "My intention was never to be malicious or cruel – I was simply trying to point out that she should stop messing with her face. She’s said herself that she’s gone too far.
"I still stand by what I said in that I really do think she was much more beautiful before all the procedures, but the main thing is that she’s happy with herself now. As someone who speaks openly and honestly about mental health, I would never, ever want to make anyone feel bad about themselves. Sorry, Char!"
Kerry’s comments came after Charlotte, 29, opened up to her jungle campmates about her looks and described her lips as looking like a "baboon’s arse" earlier this month.
After reading Kerry’s initial column, Charlotte’s former ‘Geordie Shore’ co-star Holly Hagan demanded that she apologise to her friend, insisting it was not acceptable behaviour from the mother-of-five.
Holly posted on Twitter: "What the hell is this!!? You are a mother to daughters!!!
"How would you feel if someone said this about your @KerryKatona7 I think you need to apologise. (sic)"
