Kelvin Fletcher gets goosebumps returning to Emmerdale studios

Kelvin Fletcher got goosebumps as he returned to the ‘Emmerdale’ set on Wednesday (22.07.20).

The 36-year-old actor played Andy Sugden on the ITV show from 1996 to 2016, and he reminisced on his Dales days this week when he turned up to the studios for some filming, but sadly it wasn’t to reprise his role on the soap.

Speaking on his Instagram Stories, he said: "Look where I am. Oh! It’s been years since I was here.

"Before you all get excited, sadly it’s not a return to ‘Emmerdale’, I’m just doing some filming for ITV.

"Either way, I’ve still got goosebumps."

This isn’t the first time in recent weeks Kelvin has reflected on his time in the Dales, as late last month he remembered his British Soap Awards triumph as a teenager.

Kelvin was just 15 years old when he won the Best Dramatic Performance prize in 1999, and he still remembers the night fondly.

Sharing a snap of the ceremony on Instagram, he wrote: "1999 British Soap Awards I was nominated and made the final 4 shortlist for Best Actor and walked away with Best Dramatic Performance.

"No child awards or categories back then, I was a 15 year old actor up against the adults and people I had long admired and inspired to follow.

"To be even in the same room as them was humbling let alone receiving such recognition. To this day still one of my proudest moments. (sic)"

Kelvin, now 36, urged other aspiring actors to "keep believing" in themselves and chasing their dreams.

He added: "To all the young aspiring actors out there; keep believing in yourself even when at times it seems nobody else does.

"Perseverance and Patience is key. (sic)"
