Karl Urban took on Thor because of the funny script

Karl Urban was attracted to the new ‘Thor’ film because of its funny script.
The 44-year-old actor revealed it was a major factor in enticing him to ‘Thor: Rangnarok’ – which stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston – and he believes it is unlike any other Marvel film.
When asked if the movie was funny, the ‘Star Trek’ star told film website HeyUGuys: "It was one of the things that attracted me to the project actually. It’s quite a funny script in its scope and its scale.
"It’s not like any other Marvel film I’ve seen before. I’m really looking forward to working with Taika – a sensational and talented director. It’s gonna be interesting to see what he does with it."
Taika Waititi will direct an all-star cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum and Mark Ruffalo.
The film is a sequel to 2011’s ‘Thor’ and 2013’s ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and is scheduled to be released on October 27, 2017 in the UK and in North America on November 3, 2017.
Karl Urban can currently be seen in the new ‘Star Trek Beyond’ film as Leonard Coy.
