Joe Swash signs up for Dancing on Ice

Joe Swash has become the latest celebrity confirmed for ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The former ‘I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp’ presenter has signed up for the ITV ice skating show but admits he is nervous about having to master figure skating with his professional partner because he can barely dance with shoes on.
Joe revealed he is going to be competing on the programme by skating down a patch of ice with a polar bear skating support to Vanilla Ice’s rap hit ‘Ice Ice Baby’ on the Friday afternoon (27.09.19) episode of ‘Loose Women’ – on which his girlfriend Stacey Solomon is usually a panellist.
Joking to the panel – Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha, Saira Khan and Carol McGiffin – that he can skate better than that display, he said: "In rehearsals I was a little bit better, I did too much then and almost went.
"They’re killing me right now [my ice skates]. I can’t even dance on a dance floor, let alone on the ice!"
Saira – who took part in the 2019 series of ‘Dancing On Ice’ – then asked him how he was going to manage with the lifts as he has to "pick up a woman" whilst balancing on skates, Joe quipped: "It’s been a while since I picked a woman up."
He then added: "Look, if I can do it with a smile on my face, that’s fine! No one’s going to have any expectations of me."
Former ‘EastEnders’ actor Joe and Stacey have just had their first baby together, son Rex, and the former ‘X Factor singer made her return to the ‘Loose Women’ panel earlier this week bringing the adorable tot onto the show with her.
Other celebrities confirmed for ‘Dancing On Ice’ 2020 so far include newsreader Lucrezia Millarini, ‘Love Island’ babe Maura Higgins, retired footballer Kevin Kilbane, ‘Coronation Street’ actress Lisa George and game show host Michael Barrymore among others.
