Jess Wright joins Celebrity First Dates

Jess Wright is set to join the first series of ‘Celebrity First Dates’.
The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star will be looking for love on the popular Channel 4 dating show along with ‘Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt and TV veteran Esther Rantzen when it returns to screens later this year for another installment of passionate match-making.
The show’s executive producer, Nicola Lloyd, revealed: "We’re hugely excited about the new series of ‘Celebrity First Dates’.
"It never seems to matter who walks through the doors of the ‘First Dates’ restaurant, regardless of status we’re all vulnerable human beings and our celebrity series confirms this."
The 30-year-old beauty and Esther, 75, will also be joined by paralympian Will Bayley for the four special celebrity editions of the show along with 20 hour-long episodes of the non-celebrity format.
And, considering they’re used to the glitz and glamour of celebrity, fans can expect lots of "awkward encounters" as the four stars go on blind dates at the Paternoster Chop House restaurant.
Nicola added: "We’re proud to be able to maintain the emotional integrity of the series through these four unique celebrity episodes. Be prepared for some romantic matches alongside a few awkward encounters."
The bar staff – consisting of Fred, Sam, CiCi, Merlin and Laura – will open the doors to the celebrities as they meet with their matches who have been chosen by 110,000 people.
Commissioning editor, Madonna Benjamin added: "We’re delighted that ‘First Dates’ continues to go from strength to strength. This is largely due to the quality of the match-making carried out by 110,000 people asked to be matched for a blind date in the restaurant.
With such high volume of applications, we believe this is strong testament to the faith ‘First Dates’ fans have in the programme finding them love!"
