Jeremy Irons joins Jack Huston in An Actor Prepares

Jeremy Irons and Jack Huston have been cast to play a father and son in new road trip comedy ‘An Actor Prepares’.
Irons – who most recently starred as Alfred Pennyworth in superhero blockbuster ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ – will take on the role of Atticus Smith, a highly celebrated actor who gets struck down with a medical condition which forces him to hitch a ride from Los Angeles to New York to be at his daughter’s wedding.
‘American Hustle’ star Huston, 33, will portray Atticus’ estranged son who is a devoted husband and professor.
The pair bury their differences to embark on a madcap road adventure together.
‘An Actor Prepares’ is being directed by Steve Clark who also co-wrote the script with Thomas Moffett.
Producing is David M. Rosenthal, along with 3 Arts Entertainment’s Tom Lassally and Will Rowbotham.
The film project will be launched to buyers in Cannes this week via Content Media and it’s hoped work can begin this autumn.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Content Media’s Jamie Charmichael said: "We can’t wait to see Mr. Irons and Mr. Huston go head to head in this wonderfully funny and emotional crowd pleaser, and we’re thrilled to be working with Steve, David and our friends at 3 Arts."
Among the films already on Content Media’s list for Cannes is ‘Pistorius’ – a feature documentary about the Paralympic athlete’s murder trial – action thriller ‘The Worker’, the Manolo Blahnik documentary ‘Manolo’ and romantic comedy ‘The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea’ starring Jason Sudeikis, Maisie Williams and Jessica Biel.
