Jennifer Metcalfe’s underwear wish

Jennifer Metcalfe quit her cleaning job because she couldn’t do it in her underwear.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress partner Greg Lake shared a racy picture of her on Instagram, cleaning their home in just a tiny thong, and Jennifer joked she quit her old cleaning job because of the dress code.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "When I was in college I did a part-time cleaning job for some offices and really enjoyed it.
"It’s so therapeutic, good for the mind. Clean home, clean mind. And I’m really good at it, I just love scrubbing."
When asked if she ever donned just her underwear in her old job, the star joked: "They wouldn’t allow me to, I had to wear clothes. That’s why I only lasted a year, I got bored."
Jennifer, 36, who has son Daye with former ‘Geordie Shore’ star Greg, also revealed she would jump at the chance to return to her former career.
She said: "I swear if I wasn’t on ‘Hollyoaks’ I’d set up my own cleaning company.
"I think everybody’s got a little OCD about different things. I need it to be tidy, but not necessarily clean.
"But once I start cleaning, everything needs to be scrubbed down so you can eat your dinner off it. Once I start I can’t really stop."
Meanwhile, Jennifer – who plays Mercedes McQueen on the Channel 4 soap – recently admitted her son has made it a lot easier for her to switch off from emotional ‘Hollyoaks’ scenes.
The star used to like to have a glass of wine when she got home after a tough day on set but since giving birth to her son Daye in 2017, she has found it a lot easier not to take her work home with her.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I don’t find it hard to switch off from emotional storylines now I have my little boy.
"Sometimes before it could be a bit heavy and I’d be like, ‘Oh God, I need a glass of wine.’ I don’t now. I just need to pick him up from nursery and I’m buzzing with life. So yeah, he helps."
