Gemma Collins ‘wanted by TikTok in £1m deal’

Gemma Collins is said to be in talks with TikTok over a potential £1 million deal.

The 39-year-old reality star is reportedly wanted by the video-sharing platform following a spike in her hashtag, after fans mentioned her name more than 10 million times on the app.

An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: "Gemma is a hit on social media and makes hundreds of thousands from her Instagram account.

"And this brand power has been noticed by the bosses at TikTok, who realised how massive she was on the platform when the figures from her hashtag came through. They are lining up a meeting with Gemma and her team next month to talk about a potential collaboration."

The ‘Diva Forever’ star recently took part in a viral TikTok dance challenge, and bosses have seen the potential to boost the app by allowing Gemma to post funny weekly videos.

TikTok bosses are said to be taking all the necessary steps to try to land the GC.

The insider added: "TikTok have said money is no issue and that Gemma basically has a blank cheque she can fill in. Obviously her team know Gemma’s worth and are looking at a deal worth around £1 million.

"They are so keen to get her on board they’ve come up with a loose plan that would see her creating content to be posted once or twice a week.

"And she could still keep all her other endorsements and ad deals on the go. It’s a win-win for both of them, and if TikTok can get Gemma on board it’s going to be a huge coup."

It comes after it was revealed Gemma is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow, as she plans to build an empire of products.
