Ellen Barkin was rushed to hospital on Tuesday (22.03.16) after choking on her lunch.
The ‘Animal Kingdom’ star was enjoying a break on the set of the TNT show at the time when her food went down the wrong way and she reportedly passed out, sources have told gossip website TMZ.
The 61-year-old actress was taken to a medical facility in Los Angeles where the offending foodstuff was dislodged and she has now been released.
Fortunately, she is OK and even turned up for work this morning (23.03.16).
Her representative told Gossip Cop that she’s now doing "fine".
The ‘Sea of Love’ star – who has two children, Jack, 26, and Romy, 23, with Irish actor Gabriel Byrne – was in the news last month after she started dating a colleague of George Clooney’s wife Amal.
The actress has reportedly been "swept off her feet" by British barrister and Queen’s counsel Ben Emmerson after meeting him at the human rights lawyer’s wedding to Hollywood hunk George in Venice, Italy last September.
A source close to the couple said: "Ellen met him at George and Amal’s wedding and they totally hit it off. She is so happy and in love again."
