David Harewood tips Tom Hiddleston to play James Bond

David Harewood has tipped his ‘Night Manager’ co-star Tom Hiddleston to play James Bond.
The 50-year-old star has turned down the idea of putting himself up for the job, claiming that his age would make him an unsuitable candidate for the position of the secret service agent despite it being previously played by 48-year old Daniel Craig.
When asked whether or not he would be pursuing the role of the famous spy, he said: I’m too old now so I don’t think I could. I would probably be in a Zimmer frame."
Instead, he tipped his fellow ‘The Night Manager’ co-star, who plays the lead in the BBC One drama, as the perfect addition to the James Bond roster.
The ‘Homeland’ actor also praised Tom for his role in ‘The Night Manager’, insisting there is more to it than the scandalous sex scenes.
He told BBC Radio 1: "Apart from Tom Hiddleston’s naked bottom, it’s a throwback show. It’s a classic British drama. You’ve got some great performances [from] Olivia Colman, Tom Hiddleston, and Hugh Laurie … It’s just great to see quality British drama done in that way."
‘The Night Manager’ is due to come to an end this Sunday (27.03.2016) but David hinted that this may not be the last that we will see of the six part serial.
He teased: "A DVD release is coming out soon! You can enjoy it whenever you want, and watch it again and again. There are rumours of ‘The Night Manager’ 2. Only rumours."
