Chelsea Handler has slammed Angelina Jolie as a "f**king lunatic".
The chat show host – who is a good friend of Brad Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston – hit out at Angelina, 41, on her Netflix show after it was revealed that the actress has filed for divorce from Brad, 52.
Referring to reports on why they split, she said: "There are reports that part of the problem was Brad was allegedly drinking and smoking too much weed. I wonder why he needed to self-medicate. Maybe because he could have been spending the last 12 years at Lake Como hanging out with George Clooney and Matt Damon, instead of being stuck in a house with 85 kids speaking 15 different languages?
"Oh yeah, because he married a f**king lunatic, that’s why!"
Chelsea, 41, also went on to joke that she would celebrate the impending divorce by getting married.
She said: "Brad and Angelina always said they wouldn’t get married until everyone could get married. And I always said I wouldn’t get married until they got divorced. So I’m officially accepting proposals! I’m ready!
"But we should all respect their privacy during this very difficult time. So, this will be the last time I speak of this …on TV. You can follow me on Twitter."
This isn’t the first time Chelsea has slammed Angelina.
She said in 2013: "It has nothing to do with Jennifer. As a woman, I know when you see somebody walking across the room that’s a bad girl. I just don’t like Angelina Jolie. I don’t think she’s a girl’s girl. I like girl’s girls!"
In 2010, she called her a "homewrecker", saying: "She’s a homewrecker, she is. She can rescue as many babies from as many countries as she wants to, I don’t f**king believe you."
Meanwhile it has been claimed that Angelina’s decision to file for divorce from the ‘Fury’ actor is "weighing heavy on her heart" but she feels it is the right thing to do for the sake of their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight.
An insider said: "She still says Brad is the love of her life, and the decision has weighed heavy on her heart. Her priority now is the children."
And the actress made the final decision to submit the papers to court only a week ago.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "The final divorce decision was only made one week ago. An incident took place and prompted Angelina to act and file."
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt broke his silence since the news of their divorce was revealed to say he is "very saddened" by what had happened.
In a statement, he said: "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids.
"I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
