Andrew Scott confirms Phoebe Waller-Bridge reunion for new project

Andrew Scott has confirmed a "completely different" new project with Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
The 43-year-old actor – who was nominated for a Golden Globe award for his role as Hot Priest in ‘Fleabag’ – has announced plans to collaborate on the show’s creator but it won’t be a spin-off based on his character in the BBC sitcom.
He told Variety: "No Hot Priest spin-off, that’s all over. Phoebe and I are going to work on something completely different."
Andrew recently heaped praise on the show’s writer and star, and hailed the impact Phoebe’s programme had on portraying the major impact fleeting relationships can have on people.
He said: "In a way, that’s what ‘Fleabag’ is about.
"You can have incredibly potent, life-long effects from meeting somebody over two weeks, or one week, or, you know, three hours. You go, ‘Oh my god I learned something.’ "
Phoebe claimed Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Series for her titular role in ‘Fleabag’ at the Golden Globes over the weekend, and she credited her success to Andrew and the effortless chemistry she had with her co-star.
She said: "Oh my God. Thank you so much to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for this, it’s really heavy and cool.
"This really comes down to Andrew Scott really because that man, there was a lot of talk about the chemistry between us in the show but he could have chemistry with a pebble and Id loved being Andrew’s pebble in this, thanks for bringing so much fire to this season."
Unfortunately for Andrew, he was unsuccessful in the supporting actor category, as Stellan Skargard earned the win with his performance as Boris Shcherbina in ‘Chernobyl’.
It was a crowded shortlist, with ‘Succession’ star Kieran Culkin and ‘The Kominsky Method’ Alan Arkin also nominated alongside Henry Winkler (‘Barry’).
