Amy Schumer to star and produce new comedy film ‘Who Invited Her?’

Amy Schumer has been signed up as star and producer of ‘Who Invited Her?’
The 35-year-old actress will play an overbearing woman who forces her way into her male best friend’s stag party weekend in the Universal Pictures comedy, which has been written by John Phillips and Sascha Rothchild.
Amy will produce alongside her sister Kim Caramele, who previously produced her older sibling’s show ‘Inside Amy Schumer’.
And the ‘Trainwreck’ star will be working with another of her collaborators from the Comedy Central programme as writer Tami Saghar is also on board for the project and expected to rework the script.
The film was previously set up at DreamWorks, with producers Russ Krasnoff and Gary Foster of Krasnoff Foster and Pacific Standard’s Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea.
But even though the film is now Universal Pictures, these producers remain involved and will work alongside Schumer and Caramele with Erik Baiers (‘Knocked Up’) overseeing production as executive vp on behalf of Universal.
Schumer can next been seen starring alongside Goldie Hawn in an untitled mother-daughter comedy being filmed for Fox.
And she also has a small role in Jason Hall’s Post Traumatic Stress Disorder drama ‘Thank You For Your Service’.
