Alison Hammond claims Celebs Go Dating producer asked her to ‘eat a hot dog’

Alison Hammond has claimed a ‘Celebs Go Dating’ producer asked her to "eat a hot dog" when she was filming a segment on the show.

The ‘This Morning’ roving reporter took part in last year’s series of the E4 dating programme to search for a partner, and the 45-year-old star believes she was offered the sausage snack because it would show "the fat person eating" during one of her pieces to camera.

She said: "When I did ‘Celebs Go Dating’, do you know when they do the pre-titles and you do all the little bits to camera?

"I noticed a producer had some hot dogs on the side and I was doing my little blowing the kisses to camera.

"And I was wondering about it and then he brought a hot dog over and went, ‘Oh, can you just eat a hot dog?’

"So then straight away I said, ‘What do I need to eat a hot dog for?’ when I realised, ‘Oh, it’s the fat person eating.’ "

Alison also admitted she was once asked to take part in ‘Dancing on Ice’, but she rejected the opportunity because she broke her ankle on ice 10 years ago.

Speaking on Fleur East’s podcast, ‘The Reality of Reality TV’, she added: "I’ve been asked to do ‘Dancing on Ice’. I said no and the reason I said no was because about 10 years ago I broke my ankle on ice.

"You can’t go and do ‘Dancing on Ice’ fearful, which I literally will be."
