AJ Pritchard to join Lauren Steadman for ‘relaxing’ holiday

AJ Pritchard is planning a "relaxing" trip to see Lauren Steadman in Lanzarote.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional has remained close to his celebrity partner on last year’s series of the BBC dance show, and is even set to join the Paralympian on the Spanish island, where she is going to be training for a number of weeks.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, he said: "I will support Lauren.
"Great thing is, she’s training in Lanzarote for eight weeks so I thought I can fit a holiday in there.
"I’m not going to train with her though! It will be relaxing."
The pair – who made the semi-final on the BBC One ballroom and Latin contest – have been working hard again on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour’.
The 24-year-old choreographer said: "It’s been pretty good.
"We have so much fun together and we get to do our two favourite dances on the show."
And Lauren – who was born without the lower part of her right arm – is likely to be supporting her dance partner when he’s on the road with his own show, ‘Get On The Floor’, which starts in March, but she might not hit the stage with AJ because it’s around the same time she will be training for her competitions.
He said: "My tour begins in March and hopefully Lauren can come and watch it, but she may be training too hard."
AJ previously opened up about his special bond with Lauren, and hinted anything could happen "in the future" with regards to a relationship between the pair.
He admitted: "I am very protective of Lauren because we have worked so close together.
"There are different things that she will talk about in training that she would never talk about on camera.
"It’s for that reason that we have grown so close together and we will be friends for life and who knows in the future… You never know what is going to happen."
