Aaron Chalmers reveals WWE ambitions and wants to ‘trash out a deal’

Aaron Chalmers is hoping to "trash out a deal" with WWE.

The ‘Geordie Shore’ star – who moved into the world of mixed martial arts in 2018 – has admitted he has always been eyeing up a career in professional wrestling.

He told Metro.co.uk: "I’m hoping my agent can thrash out a deal as soon as possible, and when everything opens back up hopefully we’ll be ready to go.

"For a kid who used to watch it religiously to eventually step through the ropes, would be like a bit of a dream come true."

The 33-year-old star is keen to "juggle" his various passions and jobs, including reality TV and fighting for Bellator.

Top stars like Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley have all transitioned between wrestling and mixed martial arts, and while Aaron wants to emulate their success, he knows he has to put in the effort through WWE’s NXT UK brand before making the jump to the US.

He added: "I’ve got to put a lot more work in to get to that level, which I’m willing to do.

"You can’t just expect to go straight in at the top at the level where I’m at."

Meanwhile, the reality TV star is also getting used to life as a dad after his girlfriend Talia Oatway welcomed their first child together – son Romeo – in April.

He added: "We got to spend so much time with him while there was no distractions. That’s been quite good, and obviously being a dad for the first time is quite hard.

"It’s been a bit of a blessing in disguise in a way, to try and get used to being a dad, and learning all that kind of thing."
