Bruno Tonioli’s moves mean Shirley Ballas has ‘most dangerous job in TV’

Bruno Tonioli thinks Shirley Ballas has "the most dangerous job in TV" because of his erratic movements on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The BBC ballroom competition’s judge is known for being very animated with when he is giving feedback, and he admitted his co-star is in a tough position having to sit next to him on the panel.
Speaking to Steve Wright on BBC Radio 2, he said: "I think poor Shirley has the most dangerous job in TV. I think she’s got almost decapitated quite a few times.
"The reason [it’s happening more] is this series is probably one of the most exciting we’ve ever had. It’s so wonderful seeing the competitors always deliver such exciting performances, I can’t help but express myself physically. Poor Shirley, she’s a specialist in diving and ducking!"
The 63-year-old star – who has appeared on the show since its launch in 2004 – also weighed in on the controversy surrounding Ashley Roberts.
The former Pussycat Dolls star has found herself in the dance off two weeks in a row despite being popular with the panel, as some viewers pointed out her previous training as part of her music career.
However, Bruno admitted he and his fellow judges have to judge each dance on its own rather than taking other factors into consideration.
He explained: "You can’t, because you have to watch each dance and just comment on what you see! I can’t just have a personal vendetta against somebody.
"Most people that are in the entertainment industry as actors or singers have some sort of training, come on. We’ve had it before. It happens every time…
"Personally I can only watch what is presented in front of me and react towards that. I can’t have in my mind… then you exclude so many people. Look at the dancing!"
