Eninem explains why he dissed Machine Gun Kelly

Eminem says he dissed Machine Gun Kelly because he accused him of hindering his career.
The ‘River’ rapper has explained that he released the track ‘Not Alike’, which includes the line, "Now you wanna come and f**k with me, huh? / This little c**k-sucker, he must be feeling himself", after the 28-year-old star rapped about banning him from his radio station ‘Shade 45 and claimed he was trying to meddle with his success.
However, Eminem insists that he’s not interested in the ‘Bad Things’ hitmaker’s career, whilst adding fuel to the fire by saying there are "better" rappers out there than him.
In the second part of his YouTube interview with musician Sway, the ‘Without Me’ hitmaker explained: "The reason that I dissed him is because he got on – first he said, ‘I’m the greatest rapper alive since my favourite rapper banned me from ‘Shade 45,’ or whatever he said, right? Like I’m trying to hinder his career.
"I don’t give a f**k about your career. You think I actually f***in’ think about you? You know how many f***in’ rappers that are better than you? You’re not even in the f***in’ conversation."
Eminem also brought up Kelly’s line on Tech N9ne’s song ‘No Reason (The Mosh Pit Song)’, in which he claimed that Eminem is "just rap and not God".
The ‘Lose Yourself’ hitmaker says that though he felt he needed to respond, he doesn’t want to make his "f***ing enemy" a "bigger" star by creating headlines.
He said: "Now I’m in this f***in’ weird thing, because I’m like, ‘I gotta answer this motherf***er.’
"And every time I do that, it makes that person – as ‘irrelevant’ as people say I am in hip-hop – I make them bigger by getting into this thing, where I’m like ‘I want to destroy him. But I also don’t want to make him bigger.’ You know what I’m saying?
"Because now you’re a fucking enemy’ […] I’ll leave it at that. I’m not sure exactly what I’m going to do at this point right now."
However, he did admit that he thought his rival’s comeback diss track ‘Red Devil’ was quite good, saying: "It wasn’t bad for him. He’s got some good lines in it."
The second part of his interview with Sway comes after he admitted his beef with Kelly isn’t about him calling his daughter Hailie "hot as f**k" in 2012.
The ‘Lose Yourself’ rapper teased that his problem with the 28-year-old star is "a lot more petty" than anything he’s ever said about the 22-year-old beauty on Twitter, after he hit back with ‘Not Alike’ on his surprise record ‘Kamikaze’ last month.
He explained: "You know you go down the wormhole of YouTube and whatever, right?
"So I see, ‘Machine Gun Kelly talks about Eminem’s daughter’ or whatever, right? So I’m like, ‘What the f***?’ I clicked on it. Then he starts doing a press run, basically, about Hailie. I’m like, ‘What the f***? Yo, my man better chill.’
"So, that’s not why I dissed him. The reason I dissed him is actually a lot more petty than that. Now I’m in this f***in’ weird thing, because I’m like, ‘I’ve got to answer this motherf***er.’"
Eminem is already back in the studio after MGK released his diss track ‘Rap Devil’ in response to ‘Not Alike’.
