This Morning swamped with water

The ‘This Morning’ studio has been swamped by rain.
The live brunchtime show’s hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby spent the entire programme dodging water as it seeped through the roof but, although they managed to stay dry, the same couldn’t be said for their microphones as the silver fox was convinced rain had made its way into his gadget when it began crackling during his speech.
Holly said as they sat around the table: "Your mic has gone weird."
Phillip, seemingly not bothered about revealing the show’s secrets, added: "It’s the rain! You know we did have three buckets here by this pillar but they’ve taken them away. We had to get rid because it was making too much noise. So maybe the rain got in my mic!"
This isn’t the first time the presenters have been forced to improvise when emergency strikes as just a few months ago they were left squirming when a mouse ran across the studio during the ad break and the crew failed to catch it before it went back on air.
Holly said: "We have a mouse, during the break it ran out and was by a pillar. I love the way that you (crew member) decided the best way to catch it was by using a brass pot.
"There’s more than one in here. There’s one that lives over there and there’s one that lives over here and I think they were enticed out by the drum. I think they liked the sound."
Phillip added: "Because the one that was sitting listening to health headlines was sitting there looking like: ‘Oh I like this.’ I like mice, I think they’re sweet.
Holly concluded: "I don’t like it when they’re not self-contained."
