Drake cancels VIP tour packages because they’re ‘stressful’

Drake cancelled his VIP packages on his ‘Summer Sixteen Tour’ tour because they’re "tiring and stressful".
The ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker ditched the special meet and greet sessions with fans – which were valued at up to $1000 – because they are a strain on his body and he doesn’t enjoy them.
A source said: "This has nothing to do with Drake being concerned about security or anything like that. The honest answer is that these meet and greets are tiring and stressful for artists. To do a full show every single night, then spend an hour and a half with very energetic people trying to touch you, talk to you, it’s tiring."
The star followed in the footsteps of the likes of Justin Bieber, who announced on Instagram in March he was cancelling the VIP packages on his ‘Purpose’ tour because they left him "feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people’s spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy."
He later apologised and explained: "The pressure of meeting peoples’ expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders. Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised. Can’t tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn’t so hard on me…And I want to stay in the healthy mindset I’m in to give you the best show you have ever seen."
And since Drake, 29, doesn’t need the money he would rather focus on feeling "good" during his gruelling performance schedule.
The source added to E! News: "A lot of artists are doing this lately and frankly, it comes down to the money and wanting to put on a good show. In this case, Drake is selling out shows world-wide so it’s not like he needs the money from the VIP packs. He’d rather feel good during his tour so he can give the best show he can every night for his fans instead of stress and over work or worry about how to make it through the whole tour."
