EastEnders’ Lucy Beale’s murder to rival Broadchurch

EastEnders' Lucy Beale's murder plot will rival 'Broadchurch', according to Adam Woodyatt.
The soap star has revealed that his on-screen daughter's murder storyline is expected to be as nail-bitingly exciting as the mystery crime drama.
Adam said: "The executive producer [Dominic Treadwell-Collins] summed it up in one word which sold it to me, and that word was 'Broadchurch'. Hopefully we'll do it even better, because we've got longer to tell the story."
The 45-year-old actor plays Ian Beale and is the only remaining member of the original 'EastEnders' cast, but he's confessed his character will be forced to endure months of grief when his daughter Lucy's body is found dead, as it's been revealed her murderer won't be unmasked until the BBC One soap's 30th anniversary next February.
He explained: "What we've just seen is really just the tip of the iceberg.
"The grief continues - we've just filmed the funeral over the last couple of weeks and that was traumatic."
Lucy (Hetti Bywater) - who has been played by four different actresses - will meet her on-screen death tomorrow night (18.04.14), and Adam says he and his co-stars struggled to film the scenes.
He said: "It was hard. We couldn't read the scripts without crying, to start with. We couldn't get through a line run."

Coronation Steet’s Michelle Connor and Steve McDonald to marry?

'Coronation Street's Kym Marsh wants her character Michelle Connor to marry Steve McDonald.
The 37-year-old actress, who has played the barmaid since 2006, initially ruled out her alter-ego settling down with the cabbie (Simon Gregson), but she's now in favour of the idea because she wants them to have a life-long romance.
She said: "I always said I didn't want her to settle down, but now I would love to see her and Steve get married.
"I think it makes sense and it would be nice if they could have some longevity, rather than being one of those soap couples that splits up."
Simon, who has played the dopey pub owner since 1989, would also like to see Steve and Michelle tie the knot, but he'd rather they skip the wedding scenes because they always go on for too long and are "dead boring".
He explained to TV Times magazine: "I think Steve and Michelle being married would be good, and if they could be married without us having to film any wedding scenes, that would be even better.
"They usually last two weeks and they are dead boring. Perhaps they could get married off screen ... or abroad! I think they should get married in the Caribbean, we could do a spin-off."

Hollyoaks’ Nikki Sanderson hurt in abuse scenes

Hollyoaks' Nikki Sanderson has been injured while filming her character Maxine Minniver's domestic abuse scenes.
The 30-year-old actress is currently involved in one of the soap's darkest storylines as her alter-ego remains in an abusive relationship with Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield).
However, the brunette beauty admits she's determined to make her character's issues believable, so has allowed her co-star Jeremy to hurt her during filming.
She explained: "It's been great to work with Jeremy. We get on so eel in real life - I trust him completely and it's the same in return, so that means we can push the boundaries.
"I've been hurt a few times doing this storyline and filming these scenes because we want to make it as realistic as possible and for the audience to see the reality of the situation. It's been such a journey and I've learned so much from it. As an actress, you're always learning your craft and new skills - and in this storyline I've definitely learned a lot."
Meanwhile, Nikki is currently in the running for the Best Actress prize and the British Soap Awards next month, but she admits she's not bothered if she doesn't make the shortlist as she is up against some good actresses.
She explained to Digital Spy: "It feels fantastic and i'm so grateful to 'Hollyoaks' and Lime Pictures for all they've done for me over the time I've been here. This is the first award I've ever been nominated for over my whole career, so it means a hell of a lot to me.
"It's a very difficult category and I know it'll be difficult to get through to the shortlist, but to just be nominated has been amazing - especially because we've worked so hard on the Maxine and Patrick storyline over the past year."

Sam Bailey expecting baby girl

Sam Bailey is expecting a baby girl.
The 'X Factor' 2013 winner, who is pregnant with her third child, took to her Twitter account today (16.04.14) to announce that she and her husband Craig will welcome another daughter into the world later this year.
She tweeted: "Me and Craig are proud to announce we are having a little girl... A special thank you to @miracleprogress xxxx (sic)."
However, it appears sam's five-year-old son Tommy was hoping for a baby brother rather than another sister.
Sam, 36, who also has eight-year-old daughter Brooke, posted a picture of Tommy with a grumpy expression, which was accompanied with the caption: "Tommy not so pleased that he is having a baby sister!!! Lol (sic)".
The former prison officer found out she was pregnant last month after taking a test in an ASDA supermarket while her husband Craig, 40, was off doing the food shopping.
She said previously: "I went and did it in the toilet while he was getting all the food. I came out and went, 'Yep - I'm pregnant'. It wasn't planned."
Meanwhile, the songbird has been forced to delay her tour, which was planned for October, and was initially worried her management would be disappointed by the news.
She said: "When I got into the car I was really upset because I thought I'd let everyone at my management and the record label down. But they were really good about it. I was going to go on tour solo at the end of October - but I have to move it until January."

EastEnders’ Lorna Fitzgerald predicts Ian Beale as Lucy’s killer

'EastEnders' star Lorna Fitzgerald believes Ian Beale will murder his daughter Lucy.
The 18-year-old actress - who plays aspiring vet Abi Branning - has predicted the busybody restaurant owner (Adam Woodyatt) will be behind the tragic death of the 20-year-old businesswoman (Hetti Bywater) next week.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said: "I'd have to say Ian [is the killer]. I know he's devastated by her death - but I think that's because he killed her!"
Show bosses are keen for the chilling storyline to be as big as the 'Who Shot Phil Mitchell?' plot in 2001, so they are withholding the killer's identity from the cast, crew, and viewers until next February.
Lorna explained: "Everyone at 'EastEnders' is waiting to find out the truth in the same way as the viewers. There was a censored scene in a script the other day, and that put a buzz about the studio."
However, despite the secrecy surrounding the storyline, the brutal murder will give Adam a chance to "shine" following his alter-ego's successful breakdown storyline last year, which saw him flee Walford and return as a tramp.
An insider said previously: "It's been so cleverly plotted that it isn't a typical whodunnit. It's going to be raw, emotional and gritty.
"It will see her dad Ian start to question how well he really knew his daughter as secrets spill out after her death."

James ‘Arg’ Argent has more female attention after naked selfie

James 'Arg' Argent has been receiving a lot more "offers" from women following the leak of his naked 'selfie'.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star - who has had an on/off relationship with co-star Gemma Collins following his split from Lydia Bright - thinks the female population liked what they saw after an image of him standing in his bathroom showing off his impressive manhood emerged online earlier this year.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I've received more offers I think [after the selfie]. I think girls were quite impressed with what they saw."
Arg realised the image had leaked online when he signed onto his Twitter account and saw people were talking about it, but he was concerned fans would think it was a PR stunt since it happened around the same time as his autobiography 'Living it Arg' was released.
He added: "I found out [about the leaked selfie] when I signed onto my Twitter and it kept flashing up and up and up. Is it like a big coincidence that it come out the same time as my book, I didn't want people to think that. It was just one of those things, I know exactly how it got out there. It wasn't the worst picture I suppose."
Arg will be at Waterstone's, Bluewater this afternoon (16.04.14) signing copies of his book 'Living It Arg', just one of the many exciting activities available at Bluewater this Easter bank holiday. For more info go to Bluewater.co.uk/kids

Helen Flanagan hates her bum

Helen Flanagan hates her bottom.
The former 'Coronation Street' star, who is no stranger to flashing the flesh, admits she suffers with low self-esteem and can't stand her "non-existent" derrière.
She said: "My natural weight is a size 8 but to get to a 6 I have to work hard. I'm like any normal girl; I get really self-conscious. Sometimes my weight drives me round the bend. I've got good boobs, but I do not like my bum whatsoever. I do squats, but it's non-existent."
Despite her enviable figure, the 23-year-old actress admits she regularly scoffs chocolate and gorges on alcoholic beverages, but tries to maintain a healthy diet.
She explained to OK! magazine: "I eat so much chocolate, especially if I'm hormonal. I like healthy food, but my downfalls are wine, chocolate and coffee."
Helen has also decided to step away from her boob-popping frocks and skimpy skirts as she believes covering up makes her feel "sexier".
She said: "What I've found is covering up is so much better ... I genuinely feel sexier when I cover up."
Meanwhile, the glamour model, who had a nose job last summer, took the opportunity to slam rumours she's gone under the knife recently and claims her structured face is all down to her make-up artist.
She said: "She [my make-up artist] takes two hours to contour, your face looks completely different. It's an art."

Natalie Anderson teases ‘funny’ storyline

Natalie Anderson has a big storyline coming up.
The 'Emmerdale' actress has teased some game-changing events for her alter-ego Alicia Metcalfe over the next few months on the ITV show, which will show off her bold and brassy character's funny side.
She told the Daily Star newspaper "I've been very busy filming over the last month. As always we are filming quite a few weeks ahead and I can't give away too many details.
"But I can say that it's very funny - which has been so lovely as the last year for my character Alicia has been very dramatic. I've been working with my fantastic onscreen family - which, to be quite honest, doesn't feel like work at all as we have so much fun together."
The 32-year-old star has been nominated for soap's sexiest female at next month's British Soap Awards, up against the likes of Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter, EastEnders' Shona McGarty and fan favourite 'Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan, who has won the title for five years in a row.
Natalie previously said: "It's incredibly flattering to be nominated again, although I do feel like an old nana. We've had such a brilliant year and I'd be so upset if 'Emmerdale' didn't win a few more awards."

Britain’s Got Talent’s Lucy Kay supported Susan Boyle on tour

'Britain's Got Talent' contestant Lucy Kay supported Susan Boyle on tour last year.
The opera singer wowed judges - Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden - with her remarkable vocals on the opening show last weekend, but she failed to mention she had performed four dates in Scotland last year, prior to applying for the talent contest, as part of 2009 runner-up Susan's choir.
At the time, Lucy - who won a scholarship at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to study music - shared pictures on her Twitter account of her performing with Susan, of her dressing room and a final snap of the official music sheet.
However, yesterday (15.04.14), Lucy denied she had been secretive about her past ventures.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I've never hidden the fact that I supported Susan Boyle as part of a choir last year. It's one of the things that inspired me to apply for 'Britain's Got Talent' and to pursue my dream of a solo career."
An ITV spokesman added: "Lucy was part of a 30-strong choir who supported Susan for four Scottish concerts last year, arranged by her music college in Glasgow.
"Lucy went through the same audition process as all the other acts and none of the judging panel had seen or knew of Lucy before her audition."
Meanwhile, Lucy has faced backlash from viewers for using a "sob story" to win votes after she revealed on the show that she had been targeted by bullies in the past.
