Jake Quickenden ‘too stupid’ for game plan

Jake Quickenden doesn't have a game plan for 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' because he's "too stupid".
The 26-year-old wannabe singer doesn't think he is intelligent enough to plot and plan his way to the king of the jungle.
He said: "I haven't got a game plan. To be honest, I'm too stupid to think of one - it'll end up going wrong."
Jake first appeared on television as a contender on this year's 'The X Factor', but was eliminated on the fourth week.
Speaking about the difference between the two ITV shows, Jake told OK! magazine: "I love music and that's what I want to do eventually, but I think you'd have to be really stupid to turn down something like this. It's the chance of a lifetime.
"With 'The X Factor', you get your two-minute VT and then you sing, so you don't get a chance to show your personality - that's what I'm excited about. The camera's on you 24/7 and people get to know the real you. It's the ultimate prize if you win a show like this for being yourself.
"Obviously, I'd have loved to have won 'The X Factor' because it's music, but if I got crowned king of the jungle, it would change my life."

Miranda: Fame hasn’t made me more confident

Miranda Hart insists fame hasn't made her more confident.
The 'Miranda' star has confessed she feels much more confident in herself now than when the sitcom first started in 2009 but claims it has nothing to do with fame.
Quizzed on whether the show made her more confident, she said: "I don't think that's it. I was more self-assured before I was in sitcoms - a lot of my worries about my looks only started when the media got interested."
The 41-year-old comedienne felt it was unfair she was often referred to as "larger than life" while men were never called out on their weight.
She explained to Radio Times magazine: "In the first two series of 'Miranda' I was very low on my looks - it's only now I'm beginning to think I might be allowed to consider myself attractive. It's not fame that brings you confidence that's for sure."
Insisting, however, that she is much happier now than when she first took on the role, she said: "Much happier, I like getting older, I know how to be me these days. I don't care if I've got the wrong shoes on... I do less of that going home at night saying, 'What did I say?' I have more confidence."

Sunetra Sarker eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing

Sunetra Sarker has been eliminated from 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Casualty' actress and her professional partner Brendan Cole found themselves in the dance-off against Mark Wright and his partner Karen Hauer, and exited the reality show after the judges chose to save the former 'The Only Way is Essex' star.
Sunetra, 41, who was appearing in the dance-off for the third time, reflected: "It's been such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be able to do this.
'I'd like to thank Brendan for being just so committed and understanding, and such a natural dancer, this guy - you've been great - thank you so much for everything.
"I also want to say a thank you to every single one of the contestants and all the pro dancers for holding my hand so very tightly - love you all."
Brendan said: "You should be very proud of yourself to get this far - it's no mean feat.
"To reiterate, thanks to everyone that works on the show - it's the best show on television."
Their exit was confirmed after judges Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all chose to save Mark, 27, with Len Goodman saying he agreed with their decision.

Stereo Kicks eliminated from The X Factor

Stereo Kicks have become the latest act to be eliminated from 'The X Factor'.
The eight-strong group, featuring Barclay, Chris, Casey, Jake, James, Tom, Charlie and Reece, were voted off the show after battling against Lauren Platt in the sing-off.
Judge Louis Walsh opted to send home Lauren, while Mel B made the same decision.
By contrast, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini voted in Lauren's favour, meaning Simon Cowell had the deciding vote.
'The X Factor' boss took the vote to deadlock, at which point it was confirmed Stereo Kicks would be leaving the competition.
Louis later said: "It was awful. I really think everybody made a mistake.
"It's awful that they're gone. I think they had so much more potential."
However, Simon defended the decision, telling 'The Xtra Factor': "The sing-off is there for us to make the decision about who was best on the night.
"I didn't chicken out."
Simon added that he would have sent Lauren home but based on their performances, he decided to change his mind.
The show also featured performances from Union J and Ella Henderson, who sang 'You Got It All' and 'Yours' respectively.

Ben Haenow wary of reconnecting with father

Ben Haenow is wary of reconnecting with his estranged father.
The 'X Factor' contestant was brought up by his mother Rosanna after his father Michael walked out on him and his brother Alex when he was just four-years-old and although he's now back in touch with him, Ben admits he's struggling to get his "head around it".
He shared: "Now that I'm on the show, he's texting me, saying, 'I really love you, Ben, I'm so proud of you'.
"But he's never said stuff like that to me before. We didn't really get on that well. Anything I was interested in, he wouldn't take an interest in."
Admitting he was taken aback when his dad got in touch, Ben added: "I reply but not immediately. It takes me a while to get my head around it."
However, despite claiming he doesn't think Michael is simply contacting him for the fame that comes with being on 'The X Factor', Ben admits his past makes him question his motives.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Alex and I had a rocky relationship with our dad.
"He was supposed to see us on Sundays but regularly we would be waiting on the corner of our road and he wouldn't turn up.
"He then met his second wife and she seemed to do a lot to get us involved in his life but he wasn't too bothered.
"We'd meet every couple of months or so - but then he left her as well."
Explaining that he thinks his father has contacted him because he's getting older and is "alone", Ben added that he doesn't think they'll "ever be close".

Zoe Ball to front Saturday night game show

Zoe Ball could be set to front a new Saturday night game show.
The 'It Takes Two' presenter - who recently covered for Claudia Winkleman as co-host on 'Strictly Come Dancing' - is set to become the BBC's new Saturday night queen as the face of 'Prized Apart'.
A source revealed: "Zoe is at the top of the list of people being looked at.
"She is funny, quick-witted and appeals to viewers of all ages. She was a revelation on Strictly and fits the bill perfectly. She can virtually name her price."
Zoe stepped in for Claudia after the regular host's eight-year-old daughter Matilda was hurt in an accident on Halloween and she's now said to be in negotiations to accept a deal worth £1.5 million.
'Prized Apart' - which is scheduled to air next year - will feature ten couples going up against one another in challenges in a bid to win huge cash prizes and Zoe is said to "excited to be so highly though of", although no agreement has been reached as of yet.
A BBC spokesman told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "'Prized Apart' will feature couples up for an adventure. One will stay in the UK while other the other competes in challenging tasks worldwide.
"No decision has been made about who will present the show".

Sam Faiers has ‘forgotten’ how to date

Sam Faiers has "forgotten" how to date.
The 23-year-old star has ruled out dating following her split from on-off boyfriend Joey Essex in October, before joking that she'd forgotten how to handle the dating scene.
After breaking up with 24-year-old Joey - who she dated for three years after meeting on the set of 'The Only Way Is Essex' - she said: "Single life's good fun.
"I've just come out of a long relationship, so dating isn't what I want right now. I think I've forgotten how to date! Maybe next year."
However, Sam - who left 'The Only Way Is Essex' in April earlier this year - has hinted about a potential television show where she would set people up on dates.
Talking about her decision to leave the ITVBe reality show, she told Now magazine: "It was naturally time for me to leave. I wanted to do my own thing. But I do miss TV. I'd love to do a show setting people up or a makeover show."

Edwina Currie the ‘Kim Kardashian’ of the jungle

Edwina Currie has been dubbed the "Kim Kardashian" of the 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
The former Conservative MP has become the talk of the ITV reality series' production crew after a video clip of her giving former Premier League footballer Jimmy Bullard a massage began circulating.
A source said: "It's what they are all gossiping about at the moment. They can't believe it."
The footage is said to look like an amateur sex tape due to the angle of the camera and has seen Edwina, 68, compared to 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star Kim Kardashian West, 34 - who famously appeared in an X-rated video with ex-boyfriend Ray Jay.
The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "No one can keep a straight face watching it. Edwina has become the Kim Kardashian of the jungle!
"She will be shocked to discover she's provided the kinkiest footage of the series so far."
In the clip, Edwina appears to be giving Jimmy, 36, an intimate massage after telling him to "open" his legs before stroking his groin area, which he is heard describing as feeling "fantastic".

Tamera Foster and Sam Callahan split

Former 'X Factor' stars Tamera Foster and Sam Callahan have split up.
The couple began dating after meeting on the show last year but 17-year-old Tamera is now said to have called it quits so she can focus on her music career.
A source said: "Tamera had strong feelings for Sam, but she is also very ambitious.
"It wasn't her intention to hurt him, but she knew it was time to move on.
"Sam is moving on with his career and is still very ambitious so it just wasn't going to work."
Despite coming in fifth place in the 2013 series of the ITV talent show - which was won by Sam Bailey - Tamera was offered a contract with Simon Cowell's record company Syco, while her 20-year-old boyfriend was left to pave his own way in the music industry.
And although Tamera stood by her beau after it was revealed he'd been sending flirty messages to a glamour model last year, she's now said to have been persuaded to end the relationship to distance herself from her time on the show as Syco attempt to launch her career.
The brunette beauty recently teased fans with news of her upcoming music on Twitter.
She wrote: "messege to all of my fans ! Thank you for being so patient, I'm taking my time so I can give you the best ! I won't let you down 2015 (sic)."
