Peter Capaldi ‘delighted’ to be back on Doctor Who set

Peter Capaldi is "delighted" to be back to work on 'Doctor Who'.
The 56-year-old actor today (14.01.15) reprised his role as the titular Time Lord alongside Jenna Coleman as his companion Clara Oswald as filming of the upcoming ninth series kicked off in Cardiff.
He said: "The adventures begin again for myself and Jenna and I'm delighted to be back filming my second series of 'Doctor Who'."
The episodes currently being filmed were penned by Toby Whithouse and feature a number of guest stars including 'Game of Thrones' actor Paul Kaye.
He said of his involvement: "As a kid of the 1970s, the two shows you always watched were 'Top of the Pops' and 'Doctor Who', they were unmissable. I actually wrote a song called, 'Looking for Davros' in my first punk band and I sang it like a demented Dalek. I got to present TOTP back in the mid 90s and landing this role in 'Doctor Who' completes the dream double."
The 50-year-old star also praised Capaldi for his take on the popular character following his successful first series.
He added: "Peter is a perfect Doctor and I'm loving every minute of the experience, even the five hours in make-up. What a treat, best 50th birthday present ever!"
'Doctor Who' showrunner Steven Moffat also spoke about his excitement at welcoming a host of new actors on to the set of the BBC One sci-fi series.
He said: "An amazing guest cast for a brilliantly creepy two-parter by Toby Whithouse. Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman are back in Cardiff, back in the box, and back in action - for one of our scariest adventures yet!"
Series nine is scheduled to air on BBC One in Autumn 2015.

Jodie Marsh terrified after break in

Jodie Marsh is feeling "really scared" after thieves broke into her property while she was home alone.
The former glamour model's house was targeted by burglars in the early hours of this morning (14.01.15) and she's confessed to feeling vulnerable as she was on her own at the time.
She told OK! magazine: "Police are on their way and I've got people coming over to fix the gate and reinforce it. They broke into my annexe as well and tried to nick my Harleys.
"Really scared as I was home alone last night. It happened at 3.55am."
The 36-year-old star took to her Twitter account to share news of the break in and claimed to have caught the culprits in action on her security camera.
She wrote: "The two dumb a**e ****s that broke into my property last night, I have both your faces on CCTV. And I've got you messing with my cars...(sic)"
Jodie, 36, has since revealed the crooks attempted to steal motorbikes from her property and has informed local police of the incident.
The brunette beauty also shared images from the CCTV footage with her 607,000 followers in a bid to identify the thieves.
She wrote: "I'm going to do two tweets with pics of the burglars on. I'm begging all my amazing followers to RT BOTH tweets please!!! #catchthecriminals.
"These are the 2 men who broke into my house last night. Please RT and contact essex police with any info x.
"Horrendous jacket and earpiece? Does anyone recognise him. This is one of the guys who broke into mine. Please RT x.
"The scariest part is that I was home alone last night!!!! Never again. I'm moving friends in as from today!!! Please RT their pictures x (sic)."

Ross Kemp won’t return for EastEnders 30th anniversary

Ross Kemp will not return for EastEnders' 30th anniversary.
The 50-year-old star insists he will not join his on-screen mother Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) in rejoining the BBC One soap for their upcoming week of live episodes because of prior filming commitments.
He said: "I can't join her [Windsor]. It's just about space in my diary."
The 'Ross Kemp: Extreme World' host has played Grant Mitchell in the popular drama on and off since 1985 and admits he would definitely consider reprising the role in the future.
He told the Gloucester Citizen newspaper: "I would never rule out going back to 'EastEnders', I owe it a heck of a lot. I think it's a great show."
Rumours the hardman was planning a surprise return to Albert Square were sparked when BBC bosses refused to confirm or deny a report that he was to appear in episodes to mark the soap's 30th year on air in February.
Meanwhile, Barbara - who appeared in a one-off episode last year - is looking forward to her latest appearance.
She said previously: "I am absolutely thrilled that Peggy has been included in the celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of 'EastEnders'. What an incredible achievement for all the production, cast and crew, past and present."

Corrie boss: No one is safe

'Coronation Street' boss Stuart Blackburn insists "no one is safe" from the axe.
The soap showrunner - who was dubbed the Grim Reaper for killing off a string of top names during his time at 'Emmerdale' - admits he considered ending the lives of a number of characters in next week's bus crash to explore "cause and effect" in Weatherfield.
He said: "No one was safe.
"When you sit around a writers' table the truth is all of them [the characters] are fair game.
"That's not about being gratuitous, it's about having a cause and effect."
The producer decided not to do anything too dramatic with the accident - which sees a minibus driven by Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) containing Underworld staff run off the road - as he didn't want to look like he was "desperate" for ratings.
He added: "It was a possibility of killing some of them off but I felt at the end of the day we didn't need it.
"I didn't want us to start the year looking like we were grasping at straws.
"We had the deaths of Hayley Cropper and Tina McIntyre last year, which were massive.
"We also lost Peter Barlow and Rob Donovan, which were big losses for us.
"We've got a long year to get through so I thought it would look desperate doing too many deaths."
However, Stuart admitted he would consider leaving the show if he was blocked from killing off "untouchable" faces.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I think the minute I, as a producer, am not able to make those kinds of creative decisions because someone is untouchable then it's time to kick me out of the job."

Ferne McCann hospitalised

Ferne McCann was rushed to hospital after collapsing yesterday (13.01.15).
The 'Only Way is Essex' star reportedly fell after getting out of a Jacuzzi, hit her head and experienced a seizure and is now nursing a number of injuries.
A source said: "Ferne had been at her gym in Essex with her boyfriend Charlie Sims and her mum, Gilly.
"After a swim they had got in the Jacuzzi. Ferne felt dizzy so got out and then collapsed, hitting her head as well as banging her arm - and she's badly injured her hip.
"Then she started having a fit. It was terrifying for Charlie and Gilly to watch."
Ferne has undergone a number of tests and had blood samples taken so doctors can determine the problem but she has now returned home from hospital.
The source added: "Everyone is worried about her. Ferne still feels woozy and was really shaken.
"The doctor advised her to take it easy. She's resting at home and Charlie is refusing to leave her side."
The terrifying incident came at a time when the 24-year-old star has told pals she has been feeling healthier than ever.
The source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Ferne and her mum are training for a half-marathon so she's been working out a lot. She's been eating clean and told us she has never felt healthier."

Jeremy Jackson ‘cursed’ by fame

Jeremy Jackson feels "cursed" by fame.
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant - who was removed from the house on the weekend after allegedly groping his co-star Chloe Goodman - admitted finding fame as a youngster playing David Hasselhoff's character's son Hobie in US series 'Baywatch' has been a "double-edged sword".
He said: "Fame is definitely a double-edged sword, and I never got the good side without getting the bad side.
"I've heard some people say: 'Hustle until you don't have to introduce yourself.'
"I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?' I had that when I was 11. That's a curse.
"People think you're an arrogant a**hole because you're rich or you're on TV and you have to go a long way out of your way to change their minds.
"I've had that kind of fame, and it's not what you think it is."
The 34-year-old actor has been open about his struggles with substance and alcohol abuse in the past and fears he could have "ended up a wash-up piece of s**t drug addict on the street" if he hadn't had enough money to get help.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Back then, when I was a kid, I partied pretty hard. For a brief period, I drank and used drugs to die.
"Then I got to the point where it was never enough.
"I was lucky that I had enough money from Baywatch to hit rock bottom real fast... and to get help.
"I could have ended up a wash-up piece of s***
t drug addict on the street."
Jeremy - who separated from wife Loni Willison earlier this year - also hit headlines after he attacked her at their Los Angeles home.
Loni, 31 - who is reported to have suffered two broken ribs and an injured neck in the assault - later dropped the charges and urged her former partner to get help.
However, the blonde beauty has now released a sound recording of the incident as well as revealing an email he sent her days before the attack in which he wrote lyrics to a rap song appearing to claim he wanted to kill her.
According to MailOnline it reads: "I'm to here to tell ya. I wanna kill ya, I take you to my casa homie house ... I bet you're getting cosy thinking you're above me but you're beneath me. And I'm the reaper. My name is Jeremy Jackson guess what I'm gonna teach ya."
Jeremy refused to comment on the revelations, insisting he plans to keep to the non-disclosure terms of their divorce.

Kris Jenner to appear at NTAs

Kris Jenner will appear at the National Television Awards.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star has been booked as a special guest to appear at the prestigious ceremony next Wednesday (21.01.15) at London's O2 Arena, but has shocked organisers with an extensive list of conditions.
A source said: "Kris sent a long list of demands before agreeing to do the show."
The 59-year-old 'momager' is insisting on a number of strange stipulations, including that she must not be made to walk down more than six stairs and will refuse to be photographed with any celebrities who are not "A-list".
The insider said: "She doesn't do stairs, germs or Z-listers and has to fly first class.
"If there's more than six stairs she won't go down them.
"And she is happy to pose with fans but will only be photographed alongside A-list talent."
The star - who is dating Justin Bieber's road manager Corey Gamble - has also told the production's producers she will be furious if she is introduced as the mother of Kim Kardashian West, because she wants to be known as a stand-alone celebrity away from her famous children.
The source said: "She doesn't want to be brought on stage as Kim's mum but as a star in her own right.
The television personality - who has children Kourtney, 35, Kim, 34, Khloe, 30, and Rob, 27, as well as 19-year-old Kendall and 17-year-old Kylie from her second marriage to Bruce Jenner - also has further demands when it comes to the backstage area, which she insists is decorated especially for her and filled with luxury Jo Malone perfumes and candles.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "Kris also insists her dressing room is painted white and filled with seasonal flowers and Jo Malone products.
"She'll also only drink Cristal champagne."
The ceremony - hosted by Dermot O'Leary - will see stars of the small screen crowned victorious in categories including Best Entertainment Programme, Best Drama, and Best Chat Show Host.

Davina McCall goes on dates to dentist with husband

Davina McCall and her husband go on dates to the dentist.
The 47-year-old presenter admits it is tough finding quality time to spend with spouse Matthew Robertson - with who she has kids Holly, 12, Tilly, 10, and seven-year-old Chester - so they do "mundane" tasks together and still manage to have a "nice" time.
She said: "Matthew and I are strong but like any couple, we know we need quality time together, whenever we can get it.
"Actually, the other day we did this mundane thing. I booked us both into the dentist at the same time. And we said we would go to our appointments then wait for each other, mooch along the street to the car and drive back again.
"I know it sounds silly, but it was an hour and a half on our own with no iPads, no phones and no kids. Just us talking.
"Afterwards we both said how nice it was to have that time together."
Davina also believes it is important to spend one-on-one time with her children and admits to "ignoring" her offspring when she is bonding with one of the others.
She explained to Closer magazine: "Being a working mother is a huge juggling act. With my kids, especially as they get older, it's about finding quality time for them individually.
"I honestly spend 45 minutes putting each child to bed and they get that time from me undvided.
"If another child walks in I will ignore them and say, 'No this isn't your bedtime.' "

Cameron Moore: Hard not to take abuse personally

'Hollyoaks' actor Cameron Moore finds it hard not to take abuse about his character personally.
The actor, who plays Cameron Campbell in the Channel 4 soap, admitted it's sometimes difficult playing someone with the same first name as him as it's harder to separate negative comments about his character from comments about him.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he shared: "Yeah that is one thing I would possibly change. When you get a bit of abuse it's hard not to take it as personally when people are actually calling you Cameron."
The soap star claimed he had people shout insults at him in the street after it was revealed his character killed Danny (Stephen Billington) and Sam (Lizzie Roper) Lomax in a hit-and-run accident.
He continued: "Just sometimes when you walk down the street - it was after the Danny and Sam stuff - and they'd be like, 'Murderer! Killer!' And I was like, 'No, no. It's just my job'."
Cameron also confessed to being slightly disappointed that female viewers don't see him as eye candy in the same way as colleague Danny Mac, who plays Dodger savage.
He added: "I don't think they fancy me. They've been telling me at work that they'd like me to be their dad ... Much to my horror. I'll leave that to Danny Mac and I'll just stick to killing people's parents and gangsters."
Meanwhile, Cameron admits he was "absolutely chuffed" to be shortlisted for the best newcomer prize at next week's National Television Awards.
He said: "I'm absolutely chuffed, it was a lovely phone call to get. I'm still enjoying it really and enjoying all the buzz about it now."
