Sarah Harding cast in Coronation Street

Sarah Harding has been cast in 'Coronation Street'.
The former Girls Aloud singer is set to make a guest appearance in the ITV soap in four episodes, which will be aired in the summer months.
She said: "I am extremely excited to be joining 'Coronation Street'. As a fan of the show it is a huge honour for me to join the cast. I can't wait to get started!"
The 33-year-old singer-turned-actress will join as a feisty character keen to make life difficult for the Cobbles' biggest troublemaker Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
Producer Stuart Blackburn added: "Sarah is proving to be a gifted and exciting actor and I'm absolutely delighted to have her on board, the viewers are in for a treat as her character will be right at the heart of a massive new story for the Barlows."
Sarah - whose previous acting credits including 'Bad Day' and 'St Trinians 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold' - will begin filming for the ITV show in May.
Meanwhile, Stuart recently hinted big storylines ahead for the soap.
He said: "This summer is going to see 'Coronation Street' at its classic best - it is going to be a mixture of romance, of comedy and of drama."

Paul O’Grady would punch Craig Revel Horwood on Strictly Come Dancing

Paul O'Grady claims he would never compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing' because he would end up punching Craig Revel Horwood.
The TV presenter, 59, is steering clear of starring on the BBC One dancing competition as he fears being criticised by the 50-year-old judge after a week of intense training could cause the pair to come to blows.
He said: "I have mates that have done it, big healthy fellas have gone in and they've come out complete wrecks.
"If I had done eight hours a day for five days and nearly killed myself and Craig Revel Horwood said, 'Well, frankly darling...', I'd smash his face in."
The 'The Paul O'Grady Show' star - who is currently working on a new period drama with Celia Imrie and former 'EastEnders' actress Pam St Clement - also slammed ITV's hit show 'Broadchurch' and claims companies are too worried about money when it comes to creating drama series.
He told The Sun newspaper: "When it comes to the telly it's getting the networks off coppers in macs up north. Broadchurch? I didn't have a clue what it was about and you could have done it in two episodes.
"I think that they are scared of period dramas because it's about money. The first thing they say is 'It's too expensive.'"

Chloe Lewis: The Only Way Is Essex makes you more ‘heartless’

Chloe Lewis thinks 'The Only Way Is Essex' has made her more "heartless".
The brunette beauty joined the cast of the ITVBe show alongside her on/off boyfriend of six years Jake Hall last month and she's confessed having her life play out on camera has made her less forgiving.
Asked how the show has affected her relationship she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It makes it more real... not more real, but when you're in normal day to day life obviously if we had an argument we wouldn't speak for a couple of days and then we'd get talking again and then we'd be back on again whereas in this situation you sort of... it makes you a bit more heartless I suppose. It's strange, it's really strange."
Chloe - who insists she and Jake are not back together despite them being pictured kissing on the beach while on a trip to Wales - admits she was hesitant about joining 'TOWIE' because she thought her co-stars would overshadow her.
She explained: "We've [her and Jake] been approached a few times over the last couple of years and if I'm honest I didn't know if it was for me. I'm quite a quiet person so I wasn't sure if I was going to be a big enough character on the show but obviously I was and here I am."
And although she's enjoying her new-found fame, she's not sure how long she wants to remain on the show.
Chloe added: "I haven't a clue. I mean, if I'm honest, I didn't even think I was going to do it so even that I'm on the show right now is a bit of a shock to myself.
"I'll be on it as long as there's a story there for me I suppose, or unless an amazing opportunity comes along."
'The Only Way Is Essex' continues tonight (01.04.15) at 10pm on ITVBe.

Stacey Solomon gets ’embarrassed’ talking about Steve-O

Stacey Solomon gets "embarrassed" when she talks about Steve-O.
The former 'The X Factor' contestant has confessed she doesn't like going into too much detail about her new romance as she doesn't know whether it'll work out with her 'The Jump' co-star because he lives in Los Angeles while she lives in Essex.
She said: "I have no idea how it happened - I get really embarrassed [talking about it]. We're just seeing how it goes at the moment. I remember feeling like this independent woman who was like, 'No! I don't want to be with anybody, stay away.'
"My focus is on my children and my work and then it got to the end of the show and, for some reason, I wasn't happy about the fact that I might never see him again and it went from there."
The 25-year-old beauty - who has sons Leighton and Zachary from previous relationships - admits she is worried about moving too fast with the 'Jackass' star.
She told Free Radio: "I don't want to be like, 'Oh! We're in love', and then I don't hear from him ever again - that would be embarrassing."

Jonathan Ross: Awards ceremonies are a ‘bad idea’

Jonathan Ross thinks award ceremonies are a "bad idea".
The 'Jonathan Ross Show' host has confessed that while he enjoys getting dressed up to walk the red carpet at various awards shows he thinks they create "internal strife" between people who should be friends.
He shared: "I've grown to the conclusion that awards are generally a bad idea for every industry... They often create a weird goal, a weird vision and a weird internal strife between people.
"You win one; you feel good for a while and feel bad for everyone else. You lose one, you feel bad - it's just a weird thing!"
However, the 54-year-old presenter - who has children Harvey, Honey and Betty with his TV producer wife Jane Goldman - admits he appreciates being able to meet up with other people in the industry for a good night out.
He told London Live at the 2015 Jameson Empire Awards: "What they are, though, is a great excuse to get everyone together for a party."

Stan Lee creates superhero series for British TV

Stan Lee has created a superhero series that will star James Nesbitt.
The former Marvel Comics chairman - who created 'Iron Man', 'Spider-Man' and 'X-Men' - has announced his first ever British show titled 'Lucky Man', which will star the 'Missing' actor as a detective who can control his own luck.
Lee said: "Luck has always been a fascinating subject to me, and I am excited to finally share that fascination with audiences around the world. With all the creative projects I have worked on, I sure am a lucky man myself."
Nesbitt is to star as London murder detective Harry Clayton, who is given a charm that enables him to make his own luck by a mysterious woman.
Executive producer Richard Fell shared: "Lucky man is a different kind of superhero show - Stan has come up with an absolutely brilliant idea; something that we can all relate to.
"What if you could control luck? Would that be the greatest thing you could give someone, or their worst nightmare? It's a twist which brings the whole superhero genre right back down to earth."
Nesbitt, 50, will star alongside 'The Honourable Woman' actress Eve Best, 'Luther' and 'Fortitude' star Sienna Guillory and 'The Darjeeling Limited's Amara Karan.
The comedian Omid Djalili, Darren Boyd, Jing Lusi and Kenneth Tsang will also appear in the ten-part series.
'Lucky Man' will be made by the production company behind ITV's 'Downton Abbey', Carnival Films - which is owned by NBC Universal - in collaboration with Lee's POW! Entertainment and will air on Sky 1 next year.

George Blagden’s boarding schooling made him ‘perfect’ for Vikings

George Blagden's boarding school background made him the perfect candidate to play Athelstan in 'Vikings'.
The 25-year-old actor, who stars as an Anglo-Saxon monk torn between the customs of the Christian England and Scandinavia's pagan ways in the historical drama TV series, was told by Michael Hirst - the show's creator - that his upbringing made him the ideal actor for the role.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, George - who attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama - explained: "When I first got on set with Michael, he asked me where I'd been to school and I explained I'd be to a boarding school. He said it was perfect and encouraged me to bring that aspect of my life to the role.
"Sometimes in this industry a magic moment happens when character and actor perfectly sync, and I was just very, very lucky to be in the right place at the right time. I think I was what they were looking for the role."
George - who's also starred in the 2012 film adaptation of 'Les Misérables' - revealed he secured his part in the TV series based on one audition and without knowing anything about the show.
He recalled: "I was only 18 months out of drama school and I went for an audition for Vikings. It was interesting, no-one really knew anything about the show.
"My agent couldn't really tell me, they said it was this show about Vikings, that's it. I did one audition and a week later they said you'd got the part."
'Vikings', Series 2 continues on HISTORY tonight (31.03.15) at 10pm.

Laura Jackson forced to face fear of snakes

Laura Jackson was forced to face her fear of snakes for 'World's Most Talented'.
The 'Take Me Out: The Gossip' host trekked across the globe with David Brian in a search for people with unusual talents but, after heading to locations including Japan, Romania, Sweden and Germany, she admits it was in Malaysia that she was really put to the test.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I really do not like snakes, and there was a guy in Malaysia that kissed these King Cobra snakes. That was awful for me.
"They kept them in these wicker baskets with these bricks on top. It really freaked me out. I had to get in the car with him, with the snakes. His kids were in the car and the kids loved the snakes."
The show also features the vocal talents of chat show host Jeremy Clarkson and Laura believes he was the only choice for the job.
She explained: "Jonathan Ross was the perfect fit to narrate the show. He is into this kind of stuff and is so much fun.
"I bumped into him at the Brit Awards and said thank you for narrating it. He told me that he and his kids love the show."
'World's Most Talented' is on Watch every Tuesday at 9pm starting tonight (31.03.15).

Angie Best for Strictly Come Dancing

Angie Best is set to star on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The former Playboy Bunny - who is the ex-wife of the late footballer George Best and the mother of model and 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant Calum Best - has reportedly signed up to compete on the star-studded BBC One competition, much to the delight of BBC bosses who have been persuading her to take part for several series.
The 62-year-old former model and celebrity personal trainer - who has previously worked with stars including Cher and Sharon Stone - is the first contestant to be confirmed for the 2015 series of the popular show, and could be set to join gossip blogger Perez Hilton and Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field who have been rumoured to be taking part.
During a Twitter Q&A earlier this month, Perez said: "I would LOVE to do @bbcstrictly!!! (sic)"
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed BBC bosses are chasing sacked football commentator Adrian Chiles and wife of Labour MP Simon Danczuk, Karen Danczuk, for the thirteenth series of the programme.
A source previously revealed: "Every year the producers want to get bigger names than the year before and two names that are on their radar are Adrian's and Karen's.
"It came as a huge shock to everyone when Adrian Chiles was sacked by ITV - it got everyone talking. People haven't seen much of him and he hasn't spoken out about what happened so he would be a great addition to the show. Karen has been everywhere over recent months. She loves the limelight and there's a strong interest in her story."
