Olly Murs refused to replace Dermot O'Leary as the host of 'The X Factor' by himself.
The 'Troublemaker' singer - who is rumoured to be set to front the show alongside Caroline Flack after the 41-year-old presenter announced his exit last week - has confessed he would have turned down the offer had he been asked to present the series on his own as he would have hated being compared to his "showbiz brother".
Addressing speculation he is set to replace Dermot - who has hosted the competition since 2007 - Olly said: "There's no way I would even discuss doing the job on my own to replace Dermot. Dermot is one of my best mates in the industry.
"He's my showbiz brother. I would never do the job on my own and never try to be Dermot O'Leary.
"The only way I would even think or talk about it would be if Caroline was doing it with me because me and Caroline were great together.
"I wouldn't want us to be compared to Dermot, because Dermot is brilliant at what he is.
"It would be completely different to what Dermot did."
This year's judging panel on the ITV show is also set for a shake up and Olly, 30, thinks former 'Take That' star Robbie Williams would be a brilliant addition to the competition.
He told The Sun newspaper: "If he was asked to do the role - and I don't know if he'd take it or not - he would be pretty amazing at it.
"You can't not love Robbie. He's very outspoken. He's a great person to be around. If they were to sign him up, it would 100 per cent attract more people to audition.
"It's his decision. I don't know if he'd listen to me."

Sophie Turner says Sansa Stark will be a "player" in the new series of 'Game of Thrones'.
The 19-year-old actress has reassured fans of the fantasy drama who get frustrated by her passive alter ego that things will be changing as her character grows stronger in the forthcoming fifth season of the show.
She said "Let's just say after this series there should be a lot more Sansa fans.
"It'll be really nice when people start to accept she's not just a stupid girl.
"She started off very vulnerable but she has learnt a lot and will transform from being a chess piece to a player."
The show has been criticised for the amount of nude scenes, but Sophie believes both the sex and violence are essential to the plots.
She told Look magazine: "There's violence and there's sex - I think it's necessary to show it.
"Women in those times didn't have a huge amount of power, so they had to use what they had to manipulate men.
"But it's not just the women who strip off - there's more male nudity than in any other show. I don't want to see any more willies!"

Chloe Lewis thinks she could've been friends with Lauren Pope if she hadn't kissed her ex-boyfriend.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star has confessed that if her on/off boyfriend of six years, Jake Hall - whom she joined the show with earlier this year - hadn't got involved with their co-star, she could've become good friends with her.
Chloe exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think if I'd met her and it hadn't been the Jake situation I think we would have got on quite well but obviously where Jake has come between it, obviously I don't want to be friends with someone ... I don't know ... On a normal day to day I wouldn't be friends with someone that was out kissing my boyfriend."
The brunette beauty - who joined the ITVBe show for its 14th series - instead insisted she won't forgive the 32-year-old DJ for her behaviour and has no plans to build a friendship with her.
She continued: "She's not my friend. I don't mean that in a rude way, but she's not my friend and at the end of the day she did kiss my ex-boyfriend.
"She's fine, we don't speak and we're not friends and she's just obviously on the show for herself the same as me and it's just a storyline at the end of the day."
'The Only Way Is Essex' continues on Sunday April 5 at 10pm on ITVBe.

Eamonn Holmes thinks Ruth Langsford would make his life "a misery" if he dared to cheat on her.
The couple - who married in 2010 and have a 13-year-old son named Jack together - were discussing infidelity on ITV's 'This Morning', when expert Dr. Pam Spurr advised them that doing something nice for each other every day was key to a healthy relationship, prompting Ruth to joke that she'd picked up her husband's socks earlier that morning.
Eamonn, 55, replied: "We practiced what we preached there. It's because I can't bend down anymore. That's very good, thanks."
Eamonn went on to explain he'd never cheat on his wife because she'd enjoy making him feel guilty.
Turning to Ruth, he quipped: "If there was any indiscretion, you would gladly have me back because you would be delighted every day to make my life a misery thereafter."
Speaking more seriously, Eamonn added: "[An affair] wouldn't be worth it, it really wouldn't."
Meanwhile, Ruth revealed recently that she loves tidying her underwear drawer as a way of escaping her everyday stresses.
The 'This Morning' co-host said that while her husband and their son enjoy spending time watching football on the TV, she's happy organising her bras and knickers.
She revealed: "I find it much easier than Eamonn to switch off at weekends and I'm a real home bird. I never get bored around the house. If I suddenly realise on a Saturday that (our son) Jack's out and Eamonn is watching the football or something, then a really nice way for me to spend the afternoon is tidying up my underwear drawer.
"I enjoy doing it and I feel great satisfaction when I've finished."

Sam Faiers is to "put the record straight" on her relationship with ex-fiance Joey Essex.
The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star is releasing her new book 'Secrets and Lies: The Truth Behind The Headlines' later this month and it will reportedly be an "explosive" account of her on/off relationship with Joey, 24.
A source shared: "This is her story, in her own words. To say the book is explosive is an understatement."
Sam quit TOWIE last year following Joey's decision to leave the show in 2013 but after he released his own autobiography 'Joey Essex: Being Reem', she's now decided to open up about her side of the story.
The source continued: "This is Sam's chance to answer back to all of the false claims in Joey's book, she was shocked when she read his autobiography last year and wanted to put the record straight, as well as update on her story following her first book."
Sam and Joey's relationship was mostly played out in front of the cameras for the ITVBe show but the 24-year-old beauty is now looking forward to revealing the reason behind their final split.
The insider added to MailOnline: "Sam has had lots of headlines in the past 5 years since she came into the public eye, her relationship with Joey was well documented but she talks for the first time about what really happened in this book."
Sam previously commented on her decision to tell all, saying: "The last few years have definitely been a rollercoaster ride.
"I've had laughter and tears, love and heartbreak and everything in between. So here is my side of the story.
"Here is the truth behind the headlines. I can't wait for everyone to read it."

Jeff Tracy doesn't appear in 'Thunderbirds Are Go!' because writer Rob Hoegee wanted to let the younger characters "shine".
The head writer of ITV's revamp of the sci-fi series has explained why they decided to leave one of the main characters - who was the father of the Tracy brothers and head of International Rescue - from the original series out of the latest update.
Speaking at a screening of 'Thunderbirds Are Go!' at London's BFI Southbank last night (31.03.15), Rob said: "Jeff Tracy is not a character that can be sidelined or minimised in any way shape or form. He is a huge presence - in the world of 'Thunderbirds' and on the screen - and the show we're making right now couldn't be about Jeff Tracy - it has to be about the boys and Kayo."
The new series features the voices of actors including Kayvan Novak as Brains and Rosamund Pike as Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward and producers were keen to move the story on from where it last left off.
Rob added: "Our feeling was... what would be a way to make Jeff Tracy mean something to the show and be just as important, but still be in a place where the rest of the boy can take a step forward and shine?
"So our decision to take him out of the picture was really motivated by that, and it became a situation story-wise where [the show] became less about, 'What dad tells us to do', and more about, 'What would dad do?'
"The currency we get from the absence of their father is hugely important as we move forward with the series."
'Thunderbirds Are Go!' kicks off this Saturday April 4 at 5pm on ITV.

A new series of 'Downton Abbey' set in the 70s could be made.
Julian Fellowes, the creator of the ITV drama - which will be come to an end after the upcoming sixth series - is keen for the popular show to return, set in the era of lava lamps, flared trousers and disco balls.
He said: "It would be quite fun if in ten years, when we've all forgotten about it, it came back as 'Downton' struggling in the Seventies or something similar."
And Julian, 65, thinks the son of Matthew and Lady Mary Crawley would take the leading role.
He added: "It could be George Crawley grown up and all sorts of new situations and how these families coped."
Julian - who also hinted it was his decision to end the award-winning show - has admitted he would also be keen on making it into a movie.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Instead of having to tailor it for a television budget, you could really give it some welly."
Meanwhile, when previously confirming the end of the ITV drama, Julian praised the "unique experience" on the show.
In a statement, he shared: "The 'Downton' journey has been amazing for everyone aboard. People ask if we knew what was going to happen when we started to make the first series and the answer is that, of course we had no idea ...
"But I do know how grateful we are to have been allowed this unique experience. I suspect the show will always be a principal marker in most of our careers as we set out from here, and if so, I consider that a blessing and a compliment."

Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond will still take part in the 'Top Gear' tour, which will go ahead under a different name.
BBC bosses have confirmed the shows, scheduled until November, will still take place but will be known as 'Clarkson, Hammond and May Live' following the sacking of Jeremy last week after an altercation with a producer.
In a statement, BBC Worldwide said: "So as not to disappoint the thousands of people around the world who have already purchased tickets, BBC Worldwide has agreed with our joint venture partner Brand Events that the remainder of the tour can continue. These events will not however feature any BBC Top Gear branding or content. We believe this is a sensible approach in the circumstances."
The announcement means scheduled UK events in Belfast, Sheffield and London will go ahead as planned, while dates in Australia this month have been rescheduled for July 18-19 in Melbourne and July 25-26 in Sydney, and March dates in Norway will now take place on June 20-21.
Organisers Brand Events said: "This is a great solution for the fans. We'd like to thank our ticket holders for their continued patience. The fans are the most important people to Jeremy, Richard and James so we're delighted to be able to say 'we're still coming'. We're sure it'll be something you won't want to miss."
The 54-year-old host was dismissed from the long-running motoring series after allegedly punching producer Oisin Tymon, which the BBC director general Tony Hall said was not a decision he had taken "lightly".
Since the news emerged, it had been widely reported producer Andy Wilman had also quit the programme, although he has now denied the suggestions and said an email congratulating his colleagues for making "one of the most iconic programmes in TV history" had been misinterpreted.
He told BBC News: "The email I wrote yesterday was not a resignation statement, and nor was it meant for public consumption."

The 22-year-old actress stars alongside the 'Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' star in the BBC's adaptation of 'Poldark' and her actor father Malcolm Tomlinson has revealed she likes to run their scenes past her boyfriend of a year to make sure he's okay with them.
He shared: "She is very honest with him. She'll say, 'I'm doing this scene', and if he's worried about it, they talk about it. She is very upfront and honest."
Eleanor - who previously starred alongside 'Godzilla' actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson in 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging - admits her new co-star has a "great body" but insists her boyfriend, who works in the film industry, isn't too jealous about them getting up close and personal.

The blonde beauty also confessed she's "blown away" by how well the show is doing and is keeping her "fingers crossed" that it will return for a second series.
