Chloe Lewis: The Only Way Is Essex makes you more ‘heartless’

Chloe Lewis thinks ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ has made her more "heartless".

The brunette beauty joined the cast of the ITVBe show alongside her on/off boyfriend of six years Jake Hall last month and she’s confessed having her life play out on camera has made her less forgiving.

Asked how the show has affected her relationship she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It makes it more real… not more real, but when you’re in normal day to day life obviously if we had an argument we wouldn’t speak for a couple of days and then we’d get talking again and then we’d be back on again whereas in this situation you sort of… it makes you a bit more heartless I suppose. It’s strange, it’s really strange."

Chloe – who insists she and Jake are not back together despite them being pictured kissing on the beach while on a trip to Wales – admits she was hesitant about joining ‘TOWIE’ because she thought her co-stars would overshadow her.

She explained: "We’ve [her and Jake] been approached a few times over the last couple of years and if I’m honest I didn’t know if it was for me. I’m quite a quiet person so I wasn’t sure if I was going to be a big enough character on the show but obviously I was and here I am."

And although she’s enjoying her new-found fame, she’s not sure how long she wants to remain on the show.

Chloe added: "I haven’t a clue. I mean, if I’m honest, I didn’t even think I was going to do it so even that I’m on the show right now is a bit of a shock to myself.

"I’ll be on it as long as there’s a story there for me I suppose, or unless an amazing opportunity comes along."

‘The Only Way Is Essex’ continues tonight (01.04.15) at 10pm on ITVBe.
