Pharrell Williams describes ‘The Voice US’ as ‘heavy and emotional’

Pharrell Williams tries to "guide" contestants on 'The Voice' as much as he can.
The 'Happy' hitmaker - who has been a coach on the US version of the show for the past two years - claims he's not bothered about mentoring a winner but instead wants to offer the best possible advice he can.
Speaking to KISS FM UK at the Isle of Wight Festival, he said: "It's not about the competition for me, it's about the cool artists that come on the show. Those young really intense talents that come across the show. I refer to them as artists. It's about guiding them the best that I can. It's emotional and it's heavy but they're trusting you so you've got to give them the best advice that you can."
The 42-year-old star's comments come after he claimed the majority of contestants who appear on talent shows won't make it in the music industry.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "99% of people who have been on these shows don't find success even if they win.
"That's what contestants have to come to terms with. This is not the be all and end all, this is the spring board, it's not the pool. I spend most of my time reminding them this is a pit stop for you."

Luisa Zissman names and shames airport security officer

Luisa Zissman has named and shamed an airport security officer after accusing her of "perving" on her private photos.
The former 'Apprentice' star has taken to her Twitter account to complain after the female member of staff at London's Stansted airport demanded to look at the pictures on her phone, which included a number of intimate selfies.
She wrote: "I'm @ STN_Airport & the security woman demands to see the pics on my phone! WTF? She was embarrassed when the selfies came up! # weirdo (sic)
"After she saw my pics she came up again said Do I know you from somewhere" then proceeded to shout big brother @ me @STN_Airport (sic)."
The 28-year-old businesswoman and former 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant was flying from London to Dublin and plans to file a formal complaint as she claims the incident was an invasion of her privacy.
Luisa - who has a young daughter named Dixie - continued: "I think she needs to be spoken to!! Perving on my pics & then shouting Big Brother Big Brother @ me!
"I do obvs have pics of my daughter and you dnt get any more personal than what she saw. (sic)"
The brunette beauty - who is set to marry fiance Andrew Collins later this year - insists there was no reason for the employee to need to see her pictures.
She added: "How do my pics affect security at the airport? I was put on the spot & had nothing to hide. She said she had to see them cause it's a security risk? I will defo complain. (sic)"

Danny Dyer: I was ‘too young’ when I had first child

Danny Dyer thinks he was "too young" to be a father when he had his first child.
The 'EastEnders' actor has confessed he regrets having now 18-year-old daughter Dani with his fiancee and childhood sweetheart Joanne Mas when he was just 19-years-old and she was only 18.
Asked what being a dad means to him, he said: "It means everything to me, it's my whole world. I can't remember life before kids. Having Dani at 19 was too young, but it's made me the man I am today. I had to grow up pretty quickly and take on responsibility and, in a way, I wouldn't have had the career I had without my children. When I realised I wasn't number one anymore it gave me drive and ambition."
The 37-year-old star also insisted that although he and Jo have done well as young parents, he doesn't want Dani to go through the same struggle they did.
Danny - who also has eight-year-old daughter Sunnie and 19-month-old son Arty with his wife-to-be - added to OK! magazine: "I've told her, 'Do not dare make me a grandad before I'm 40! I know I did that to my parents and it was terrifying. Me and Jo had absolutely no idea of what were going to do and how we were going to do it. We had Dani in Newham General Hospital and they do a lot of good work but a day after she was born they through us out because they needed the bed. They gave us two leaflets on cot death and said, 'See you later'. At 19 years of age, that was a little wake-up call."

Leanne Battersby to be held hostage in Coronation Street

'Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby is to be held hostage.
The former prostitute, who is played by the actress Jane Danson, is set to come face to face with a twisted ex-client when he begins dating Rovers Return barmaid Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard).
The explosive episodes will see Dan Jones trap a terrified Leanne - who is still mourning the death of her fiancé Kal Nazir - in her flat and beat her, leaving her terrified for her stepson Simon's safety.
A source shared: "This will be yet another horrific ordeal for Leanne, following Kal's death.
"She knows from the past experience what Dan is capable of.
"So when he traps her, she fears the worst.
"And then when he loses control and starts lashing out, all she cares about is protecting Simon from him. Outside, people hear banging and crashing coming from Leanne's flat but don't think anything of it, even joking that she has taken up clog-dancing.
"They have no idea that something is seriously wrong and that Leanne and Simon are both in serious danger."
The latest dramatic storyline comes as Liz McDonald, who was recently left heartbroken by conman and cheat Tony Stewart, introduces her friends and family to her new lover Dan (Andrew Paul).
Leanne recognises him immediately but is blackmailed into staying silent as Dan threatens to tell Simon about her past.
However, when she gets a moment alone with her Leanne takes the opportunity to tell Liz her new boyfriend is a kerb-crawler who used to beat her, prompting the feisty blonde to kick him out.
The insider added to The Sun newspaper: "It has become clear at this point that Dan is a very dangerous man.
"Liz certainly isn't doing well in the romance stakes recently."
This latest twist in the ITV soap comes after it was revealed Leanne would be the victim of domestic abuse when Simon starts lashing out at her following the death of Kal and his grandmother Deirdre.

James Jordan slams same-sex couples on Strictly Come Dancing

James Jordan has slammed the idea of having same-sex couples on 'Strictly Come Dancing' as "wrong".
The ballroom dancer - who was axed from the BBC show in 2014 - has spoken out after judge Craig Revel Horwood revealed there are plans to have either two men or two women partnered together in the near future.
Insisting Craig only made the suggestion because he's gay, James said: "It's wrong. I think they would lose so many viewers.
"I have nothing against same-sex couples, if they want to go and do their own competitions.
"But ballroom and Latin dancing is about a man dancing with a woman - that's fact.
"I put it on Twitter that I don't agree and people called me homophobic. But I'm not, I have lots of gay friends. Why must we change everything because it's C [politically correct]?
"It annoys me that people like Craig can say this because he's gay. That's the only reason he's pushing it."
The 37-year-old star - who is married to 'Strictly' professional Ola Jordan - added that it would be impossible for Craig, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Toinioli and head judge Len Goodman to score a same-sex performance.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I don't think it would go down well. You can't compare a man and a woman dancing with each other to two men dancing with each other, it's stupid.
"The world is going crazy with this gender stuff at the moment."
However, despite his comments the 'Celebrity Big Brother' star thinks it would be great to see a transgender celebrity take part.
James added: "I don't mind if Bruce Jenner comes on the show as a woman and dances with a man. But not as a man. Because he is now Caitlyn."

Jeremy Clarkson returns to BBC to finish his final Top Gear series

Jeremy Clarkson has returned to the BBC to help finish his last ever series of 'Top Gear'.
The 55-year-old presenter was axed from the motoring show earlier this year after he punched a producer in a row over a steak but it's now been confirmed he was allowed to return in order to help finish the last series, which was cut short following the incident.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "He has done the voice-over for 'Top Gear'. He came in to the BBC the week before last.
"He didn't get paid to do it. Even though this happened after his contract was not renewed, it falls under his old contract.
"He is not banned from appearing on the BBC."
The unfinished material, which would have been spread across two episodes, will reportedly be packaged together into a one-off special which is expected to air in the next few weeks.
The episode will see Clarkson and his co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May - who have hinted they will not return to the show for the next series after their close pal was sacked - become "lifestyle leisure enthusiasts" as they're given a budget of £250 each to buy three used "lifestyle" SUVs to embark on a series of challenges.
The BBC's director general Tony Hall announced Jeremy's departure earlier this year after concluding that the controversial presenter had "crossed a line".

Harry Amelia is up for public votce

Harry Amelia faces eviction from the 'Big Brother: Timebomb' house in a shocking twist that was revealed during the launch of Time Warp Week last night (14.06.15).
Housemates have been informed that fellow contestant Marc O'Neill has been living in a Secret Lair with 2014 winner Helen Wood, 2007 winner Brian Belo and 2006 favourite Nikki Grahame for the past two days after they were led to believe he'd been voted out in Friday's (12.06.15) fake eviction and they've also unanimously decided to put Harry up for eviction in the next public vote.
Speaking of her return, Helen announced "the bitch is back" and branded Harry a "bare-faced liar".
Referring to Harry's friendship with Nick Henderson, Helen - who is famous for having bedded the footballer Wayne Rooney - said: "She friends him but leads him up the garden path ... She's a hindrance to him being a winner."
She added: "She took the piss out of Simon ... She wanted to do everyone [else]'s washing...only the people who are popular, so she doesn't need to stay on the right side of him because he's not popular."
Nikki gave a message to the house before entering and said: "It's time to welcome your new guests - thanks for cleaning the house earlier."
The ex-housemates were given a warm welcome by all of the current residents apart from Harry, who said: "I knew that if Marc was in a safe house, I'd be evicted."
Throughout the remainder of 'Time Warp Week,' Marc, Brian, Helen and Nikki will have to decide together which other housemates to nominate for the next 'real' eviction, which takes place on Friday June 19 at 9pm on Channel 5.

Nick Grimshaw signs X Factor deal?

Nick Grimshaw is expected to be named an 'X Factor' judge today (15.06.15).
The BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter reportedly met with show chief Simon Cowell over the weekend to thrash out the terms of his contract, and his addition to the panel is set to be officially announced "today or tomorrow".
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It would take a real curve ball to mess up the deal."
The 55-year-old head judge believes Nick would be a great addition to the panel because of his passion for music.
He said: "I think anyone who works in the business, and loves music, has a right to be on this show.
"Nick loves artists and music, that's what I love about him.
"I like the fact that he's from the North so he represents them."
Simon is also said to have agreed a deal with two other DJs, Kiss FM's Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom to front spin-off show 'The Xtra Factor', on which they are likely to be joined by The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is expected to return to the show, while Simon is believed to be pursuing 'The Voice' coach Rita Ora for the fourth slot on the panel.

Stereo Kicks welcome ‘fresh’ X Factor panel

Stereo Kicks are hoping for a "young and fresh" 'X Factor' panel.
The eight-member group - who came fifth on last year's show when they were mentored by Louis Walsh - think rumoured new panelists Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora will make great additions to the programme, alongside existing judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini
The group's James Graham said: "They're trying to vamp it up, trying to keep it fresh, they're going to lose people like Louis Walsh.
"I think Rita Ora is a good shout. She's quite opinionated, she's quite feisty as well."
And with Rita - who was a coach on the last series of 'The Voice' - having a similar pop background to Cheryl, James thinks they would be in "good competition" against one another.
He added in an interview with BANG Showbiz: "Up against Cheryl that'd make good competition between categories and be really good tv."
Stereo Kicks are one of the acts performing at Thorpe Park's Island Beats this summer.
Island Beats runs from 11 July - 29 August and for more information and to book tickets, visit www.thorpepark.com.
