Nick Grimshaw is expected to be named an ‘X Factor’ judge today (15.06.15).
The BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter reportedly met with show chief Simon Cowell over the weekend to thrash out the terms of his contract, and his addition to the panel is set to be officially announced "today or tomorrow".
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It would take a real curve ball to mess up the deal."
The 55-year-old head judge believes Nick would be a great addition to the panel because of his passion for music.
He said: "I think anyone who works in the business, and loves music, has a right to be on this show.
"Nick loves artists and music, that’s what I love about him.
"I like the fact that he’s from the North so he represents them."
Simon is also said to have agreed a deal with two other DJs, Kiss FM’s Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom to front spin-off show ‘The Xtra Factor’, on which they are likely to be joined by The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is expected to return to the show, while Simon is believed to be pursuing ‘The Voice’ coach Rita Ora for the fourth slot on the panel.
