'The Voice' don't want any "cast-offs" from 'The X Factor'.
Insiders at the BBC have reportedly dismissed claims they are considering former 'X Factor' star Nicole Scherzinger to replace Rita Ora on the talent show.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "The BBC does not want anyone who has been on The X Factor coming on The Voice.
"Our show is an established brand with strong coaches Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am and Ricky Wilson - who all have strong musical credibility. We don't want cast-offs. They would dilute our brand."
Meanwhile, a source previously claimed that Nicole was a "front runner" for the judging panel.
They said: "Nicole is meeting with some of the top producers on 'The Voice' this week to discuss the prospect of her replacing Rita.
"Will.i.am, who is our most popular coach, is very close friends with Nicole and has been lobbying hard for her to join the panel. Andrew Lloyd Webber has also sung her praises because of her talent and passion for mentoring young acts.
"We're not planning to make a formal decision until the end of the summer but this will very much make Nicole a front runner."

Peter Capaldi says the next series of 'Doctor Who' has an "epic sweep" to it thanks to the monsters he will fight.
The 57-year-old actor is currently shooting his second run as the Twelfth Doctor and says the new and old villains he must defeat are integral to the overall storyline of the season.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said: "There is an epic sweep to this season and I think the villains and monsters reflect that. Great new ones, brilliant old ones, and some very scary creatures looming in stories with real emotional ambition."
Series 9 opens with two-part adventure 'The Magician's Apprentice' and 'The Witch's Familiar' in which Michelle Gomez returns as Missy - the new female incarnation of the Doctor's infamous foe The Master - and Capaldi insists she will be even more devious than she was last year.
He said: "In the hands of Michelle Gomez, Missy is more magnificently bad than ever before."
Teasing the storyline of the opening episodes and how they will impact the rest of the run, he added: "It places the Doctor in a conflict that is central to his being, as well as containing some subtle tributes to the 60s, and truly wonderful guest performances ... The Doctor's throwing himself into life with a newfound hunger for adventure. He's in pursuit of joy and grabbing every thrill that he can along the way. But I sense him running from something, that even he does not yet understand."
'Doctor Who' Series 9 - which also stars Jenna-Louise Coleman return as companion Clara Oswald - will air this autumn on BBC One.

Michelle Keegan was "fantastic" in her first ever movie role.
The 28-year-old actress' has landed her first film part since leaving 'Coronation Street' in June 2015 in British drama 'Strangeways Here We Come' in which she plays a student accused of murdering a loan shark.
Michelle stars alongside Stephen Lord in the gritty flick and he is very impressed by how well she has made the transition from the cobbles of Weatherfield to a movie set.
Stephen, 42, told Fubar Radio: "It's set in my hometown of Salford, on the precinct, so you have got this eclectic mix of characters.
"Michelle was fantastic - as was everybody in it. Everyone was chosen on the merit of them bringing what they can to the party, and I think that's one of the things I love. It's great when you see people, the perfect fit for the role, and give them the opportunity to do it right.
And the former 'EastEnders' star is predicting a big future for Michelle - who recently married former 'TOWIE' star Mark Wright - in films if she retains the same work ethic to go with her talent.
He added: "Michelle's absolutely lovely - she's got a great part and she does brilliantly. She's going from strength to strength. She's just got the lead in BBC Army drama 'Our Girl', she's doing well."

Sinitta is ready to join 'The Voice' if Simon Cowell no longer wants her on 'The X Factor'.
The 'So Macho' hitmaker has been a permanent fixture on the ITV talent show since her ex-lover Simon launched it in 2004.
However, with the music mogul making big changes to the judging panel by dropping original judge Louis Walsh and Mel B and bringing in Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw and former 'Voice' coach Rita Ora to join him and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and promising more revamps, Sinitta is ready to jump ship to the rival BBC One programme.
In an exclusive interview with DailyStar.co.uk, she said: "Don't worry I'll do 'The Voice'. I would make the best judge, you don't understand how passionate I am about music and about mentoring. I do it anyway just not on a huge scale. I would do it in a heartbeat. It would be doing what I do anyway but being paid amazingly and on an international platform and you get to dress up and people tweet about your frocks.
She jokingly added: "'The Voice' needs someone so I wouldn't even have to stick two fingers up at Simon if I went there, I might be doing him a favour."
And Sinitta has vowed there will be "hell to pay" if Simon doesn't invite her to his home for the Judges' Houses stage of the competition when he has to select his final acts for the live shows.
The raven-haired beauty insisted: "If I'm not at Judges' Houses all hell will break loose. I could be there this time but if you were Simon who would you invite, me or Louis Walsh?
"We are best mates me and Simon but Louis is close to him as well, it will be weird not having Louis on the show. But if I'm not at Judges' Houses there will be hell to pay!"

James Jordan and Jasmine Lennard have checked out of the Big Brother Hotel.
In their brief stays on the show, the former 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional and the 29-year-old socialite caused a stir in the house.
Speaking of his time in the house, he said: "It's a school playground compared with mine. I don't even think mine was the worst series! When I came in I could feel how the house was. It was flat and apologetic. Even Marc he was a beaten man. I think the others that when in before me said things he took to heart.
"I was quite happy to go in and put a rocket up Marc's arse. I wouldn't have stayed longer. What would be the point? If I was asked to do 'Big Brother' from the start again... Yes maybe but you only need to do it once."
Jasmine - whose steamy fling with housemate Cristian became a talking point for the contestants and fans alike - has admitted he is not her usual type but insists she would have found it "very very hard to resist him" if they were in the house for the whole 11 weeks.
She shared: "I am not normally attracted to pretty boys but it was an energy, as soon as we locked eyes I knew it was on. I couldn't have imagined even have kissing someone in the House so who knows what would have happened if I had been locked up with him for 11 weeks. It would have been very very hard to resist him.
"Before I left the House I asked if he would like me to be at the final to see him come out and he said yes, so I will be there for him at the final ... I hope that I have helped his chances to the final."

Simon Cowell hired Olly Murs and Caroline Flack as 'The X Factor' hosts because they fancy each other.
The 55-year-old TV talent show producer thinks the 31-year-old singer and 35-year-old TV presenter - who used to host the ITV2 spin-off show 'Xtra Factor' together - will liven up the ITV show with their sexual chemistry when they replace Dermot O'Leary as hosts.
Simon said: "Olly and Caroline have great chemistry. I think he fancies her, or maybe the other way round, actually.
"Kidding aside, they love the show and they have amazing energy. It's going to be different and that's what we wanted."
The music mogul went on to add that the 'Troublemaker' singer will be a good host as he started out as a contestant on the 'X Factor', coming second to Joe McElderry in series six of the show.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Simon said: "It helps that Olly has been through the process. The irony was that when he announced it, he was playing in front of 12,000 people. It shows that X Factor can change your life. He's perfect to be in that position.
"Everyone was talking about him being a judge but I always thought the role he would love - because Olly's what I call a 'centre-stage guy' - would be host."

Jessie Ware has begged Nick Grimshaw to let her be his guest mentor on 'The X Factor'.
The Radio 1 DJ is joining the judging panel of the talent show for the next series and during an impromptu meet up with 'Say You Love Me' singer Jessie at the Glastonbury Festival she quickly cornered him to offer her services for the Judges' Houses stage of the competition when Nick will have to settle on his finalists for the live shows.
He said: "I saw Jesse Ware, who might well be my favourite person in the world, I love her, I absolutely love her, she's amazing. So I met her and she said, 'Oh my god I've got to be on the Judges' Houses - where are we going!?' Like she wants the job already and I think she's super-talented, she's really funny, it's just whether or not she can fit it in."
Nick, 30, has been preparing for his new job on the panel - on which he will sit with singers Rita Ora and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and show creator Simon Cowell - by asking stars of the music industry what it takes to rise to the top of the game.
He explained: "From speaking to Rudimental about what it takes to be the best, it's the drive and how hard they work every single day. It's not like, 'Oh I'll do a little bit now.' You can get out of it what you put in but it's hard. If you are kind of not that bothered then you shouldn't really do it."
Nick doesn't want to be a nasty judge to the contestants but he insists he will be honest about their singing talents.
Speaking at a press conference for new MTV show 'Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain', he said: "Obviously I'll be myself and I think I'll be nice when I need to be nice. I don't think I'd ever be mean to anybody because I feel like it must be so terrifying and nerve racking to get up on that stage and do an audition, so I'd never be mean, but I think I'll be honest.
"You can say, 'This is the wrong career for you.' If you can't sing, there's no point telling someone, 'Oh you're quite good.' I think if they're not going to win it or you can't see them in the final then there's no point in them going any further."
The first episode of 'Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain' will air on MTV tonight (03.07.15) at 11pm and sees Nick interview Florence Welch.

Gemma Collins doesn't "believe in therapy".
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star says she finds it best working on pieces for her clothing line to help get rid of any "negative energy" she may have.
She said: "I don't believe in therapy. Sitting down and designing a dress, going to meetings and keeping busy - it's like my therapy. My life can be quite stressful and I combat the negative energy by doing what I love.
"I'm not one to sit on a couch and bare my soul - I'm a hard worker and so I'll get up and get on with things. I don't think that makes me a diva- it's just how I deal with bad times.
"Yeah I'm an upbeat person but everyone needs their down time. For some it's chilling by a pool at the Ocean club but mines sitting down with the team and planning my next collection... Although I definitely wouldn't turn down the first one."
The 34-year-old television personality also admitted she would be ditching her "GC persona" in favour of the "real" Gemma.
Speaking to her management The Can Group, she added: "GC is a persona definitely, the real me is a lot more than that and people need to realise that. No-one will see the real me completely just from pictures in a magazine or something on TV you know?
"I spend my life rambling on about my collection - I think people get bored of it but I listen to them jabber on about their dogs or love lives so they have to listen!
"Everyone has tough times and for me it's all about keeping busy and focusing on happiness. There's nothing like having a women strut her stuff in something you created - even George Clooney can't beat that..."

Coronation Street's Bethany Platt is set for a "world of trouble" because of her crush on drug dealer Callum Logan.
While 15-year-old Bethany's mother Sarah-Louise is dating the bad boy, producer Stuart Blackburn said he will have no problem exploiting her feelings for him to get what he wants.
Blackburn said: "Sarah Lou is involved with Callum and her daughter Bethany also has a crush on him. Callum will use this crush and Bethany will become his insurance policy if things go wrong.
"Bethany (Lucy Fallon) thinks she is grown up, but she is just a 15-year old kid. She is naive and she is going to get in a world of trouble because of her involvement with Callum."
Not only will Callum exploit Bethany but his romance with Sarah-Louise (Tina O'Brien) is also causing trouble for her younger brother David (Jack P. Shepherd), who is the stepfather of Callum's (Sean Ward) son Max.
Blackburn previously said: "Very quickly, Callum takes a real liking to Sarah. And it's a liking that's returned. So there'll be huge problems for David.
"David's got his own massive problems. Callum has taken a real liking to Max. And Max is his biological son."
