Marlon and Jackie Jackson announce Jackson 5 UK tour dates

The Jackson 5 members Marlon and Jackie Jackson are reuniting for a string of UK shows later this year.

The siblings are founding members of the beloved group – which also starred their late brother Michael until 1984 – and will be taking to the road in Jackson 5 Live In Concert for four concerts, kicking off on 6 November in Manchester.

Following the performance at the O2 Apollo, the pair will move on to Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on 8 November, before heading to the Wolverhampton Civic on 11 November.

The mini tour will conclude at London’s Eventim Apollo on 13 November.

The siblings will be supported on the concerts by London disco band Heatwave, most famous for tracks such as Boogie Nights and Always and Forever.

Marlon and Jackie announced the dates in a post on Instagram, writing: “General sale tickets for The Jacksons UK November tour are on sale RIGHT NOW.

“I Want You Back. Blame It on the Boogie. Can You Feel It. Live. In concert. This November.

“It’s going to be special – don’t miss out – get your tickets now!”

One person commented on the post: “THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD! HUGE!

As another added: “London is such a special stop ! Bring Jermaine and Jaafar too!”

While a third wrote: “Aaaa, can’t wait to see y’all in Cardiff!”

The Jackson 5 Live In Concert comes amid the huge worldwide success of biopic Michael, which documents the Thriller singer’s life and stars nephew Jaafar in the lead role.

Speaking recently about seeing Jaafar on the big screen as his late sibling, Marlon recently told People: “Jaafar is unbelievable. As a matter of fact, I think he’s the only one that could have done this. I’m watching the movie and sometimes I’m thinking I’m watching Michael up there, and I forget ‘Oh, it’s Jaafar.’

“This is special. It’s a special moment. Michael [was] the biggest entertainment in the world, and I’m just – the work that we put in with Gary, Indiana, with my mother and my father rehearsing us over and over, the Jackson 5 being the foundation for doing what they did, and on to Epic Records — Sony now — and then Michael did his solo stuff and took it to another level. And I gotta say, he’s down smiling.”
