Simon Cowell will begin filming for 'The X Factor' tomorrow (08.07.15).
The music mogul delayed the beginning of the show on Monday (06.07.15) following the death of his 89-year-old mother Julie, although he has now agreed to return to the competition after having two days off to grieve.
A source close to the judge told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Simon needs time to get over her death. But he knows how many people are involved in 'The X Factor' and doesn't like to let them down.
"Julie was a big fan, so it feels right to take some time out and then work on the show."
Extra audition sessions will also be held on Thursday (09.07.15) in Manchester, where the 55-year-old star will make up for lost time alongside fellow judges Nick Grimshaw, Rita Ora and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
Announcing Julie's death on Sunday evening (05.07.15), the family said they were heartbroken and would "miss her terribly".
A statement read: "Today our beloved mum Julie passed away. Anyone who had met her would know what a truly special and kind lady she was. We are heartbroken and will miss her terribly, but she is now at peace."
A spokesman for the family said: "We would like to thank the media for kindly respecting Julie's privacy throughout and we politely request continued privacy for the entire family at this particularly difficult time."

Holly Willoughby is returning to 'This Morning'.
The 34-year-old presenter is set to resume her hosting duties alongside Phillip Schofield on the ITV breakfast show in September, a year after she left the show to go on maternity leave.
Phillip - who has been presenting the programme with Amanda Holden since - was absent from the show yesterday (06.07.15) and was replaced by Gok Wan as he joined Holly to film new titles ahead of her return in autumn.
Revealing the news on Twitter he wrote: "Not on @itvthismorning today. Spending the day with @hollywills shooting new opening titles, promos and doing i/v's for her Sept return (sic)".
Holly - who has nine-month-old Chester, Harry, six and Belle, four, with her husband Dan Baldwin - departed 'This Morning' in tears last year as she bid farewell to her co-star and crew.
The blonde beauty - who is a team captain on ITV2's 'Celebrity Juice' - also recently revealed she is set to return to the panel show later this month.
She was replaced by TV chef Gino D'Acampo during her absence and he will now remain on the show hosted by funnyman Keith Lemon as a panellist.
Holly said of her return: "I'm so excited to be back and I cannot wait to see the whole 'Celebrity Juice' gang again.
"Strangely I've missed that strawberry blonde man [Keith] and it's great that Gino is staying too - it's going to be fun!"

Mario Falcone wants to compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
'The Only Way is Essex' star is keen to star on the BBC1 primetime competition when it kicks off later this year because he wants to flaunt his body in the glitzy outfits contestants are made to wear.
Admitting he's eager to join the show "because of the clothes," he said: "I like the little open shirts, get the six pack out."
Having previously finished fifth in 2013's series of 'Celebrity Big Brother', the 27-year-old reality star sees the gruelling contest as a great option to pursue but insisted he is yet to be approached by the show's producers about appearing on the programme.
He told RadioTimes.com: "No, not yet, no. They haven't seen me cut my s**t on the dance floor have they?"
If he was to take on the challenge, he wouldn't be the first 'TOWIE' face to do so as Mark Wright, who previously starred in the ITVBe show, finished fourth in 'Strictly' last year.
Celebrities rumoured to be competing in this year's competition include 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker Peter Andre, weather reporter Carol Kirkwood, Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field and TV presenter Adrian Chiles.
However, a source recently revealed fans of the show - which crowned 'The X Factor' presenter Caroline Flack as the winner last year - can expect more BBC stars in this year's line-up.
The insider said: "It's more heartland BBC1".

Shayne Ward has teased big storylines for his new 'Coronation Street' character Aidan Connor.
The 30-year-old former 'X Factor' winner is joining the ITV soap in August as the distant cousin of Michelle Connor - played by Kym Marsh - and has revealed he didn't realise how integral to the TV show his character would be.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News newspaper, Shayne said: "I am looking forward to August when my first scene is aired. I'm going to focus on this role and bring Aidan to life.
"I didn't realise how large this role was, storyline-wise. There is a lot going on without a doubt.
"I am going to work hard, especially with the role I have been given and the storylines, which are much bigger than I expected."
The 'No U Hang Up' hitmaker has previously acted in the West End musical 'Rock Of Ages', but also admitted he's bracing himself for a new level of fame once he appears in 'Corrie', as he'll be on TV five times a week.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Shayne said: "Being on Coronation Street you are seen in people's households four or five times a week. But I can handle it. I'm going to have to get used to people calling me Aidan."

ITV won't be allowed to show a Jeremy Clarkson 'Top Gear' follow-up until 2017.
A clause in the BBC contract of the controversial presenter - who was sacked by the corporation earlier this year - reportedly means that he and his on-screen co-stars James May and Richard Hammond won't be able to appear on a rival car show on a UK channel for two years.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Basically they could make a show for ITV, but not one about cars. A clause stops them leaving and making a rival.
"It means Netflix or Amazon are favourites to sign up the team. There is a feeling that if they wait two years it gives Chris Evans a chance to get his new 'Top Gear' show off and running.
"They hope to make up their minds soon. ITV have made them a great offer."
Last month, Clarkson revealed he was already looking for a new job and suggested he'd held discussions with US-based companies about a TV project.
He joked: "While I try to find a new job, I've reassessed my drinking strategy.
"Californians have a habit of ringing at 11pm and I couldn't think as straight as they do with their leaves and mineral water existence if I was halfway through my third bottle of Léoube."

Bobby Norris is "ready" to settle down.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star is looking forward to start dating again but has swore his friends off from signing him up for speed dating.
He said: "I'm ready to get on that dating scene again. I'm ready in my head to settle down when I meet the right person. I'm a big believer that when you go out looking for it, you don't find it. So I'm not on a massive hunt. But I'm very ready to start dating again.
"A couple of friends have been trying to twist my arm with speed dating, I'm a bit scared about that. You've got to put yourself out there though! I'm looking forward to getting back to the dating scene."
And with the 28-year-old television personality focusing on helping his mother Kym battle leukemia over the past year, he hasn't felt it was the "right time" for a romance.
He added to Reveal magazine: "I've been single for about a year, what with mum and everything.
"It hasn't felt like the right time to be dating I guess. But now its time to potentially meet Mr Right."

Jake Quickenden wants to star in 'Coronation Street'.
The former 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here' contestant would love a chance to join the cast of the ITV soap, namely for the sake of his mother Lisa who is a huge fan of the show.
He said: "My mum is the biggest 'Corrie' fan ever, if I ended up on 'Corrie' she would be delighted. I think that's her main goal for me to get on 'Corrie'.
"It's about testing yourself. I've never really done acting [except for] drama at school but I definitely would not rule out giving acting a bash, especially not on such a good programme as 'Corrie', it's massive. You never know what the future holds."
Whilst the 26-year-old singer would love to walk down the famous Cobbles, he has ruled out an appearance on 'Big Brother' but would consider starring on 'Strictly Come Dancing' or 'The Jump'.
He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I don't think 'Big Brother'. I've done the 'X Factor' thing and I've done the jungle thing and that was creepy crawlies and I deal better with that kind of stuff better than humans to be honest.
"I think it would have to be something that tests me and be something where I'm learning a new skill like learning to dance or learning to ski or something like that. I wouldn't rule out reality again but I think I'll have to be testing myself."

Jacqueline Jossa wants a baby boy.
The 'EastEnders' star - who has four-month-old daughter Ella with fiancé Dan Osborne - is keen on giving her little girl a younger brother but has insisted the couple will have to wait until after their wedding.
She said: "I'd really like to have a boy, so if we have another baby and it's a girl I'd be up for having one more. I have a feeling I only produce girls, though, so Daniel could end up being really outnumbered ...
"I don't want to lose my body ahead of the biggest day of my life. If the time is right we'll start trying after the wedding."
And the 22-year-old actress has admitted having a new baby has caused an issue with her timekeeping.
When asked about the hardest part of being a new mother, she added: "Just how long it takes me to do anything. I'll make plans and just as I'm about to walk out the door, she'll need her nappy changing. I'm always at least an hour late to any plan I make."
However, Jacqueline is keen on easing herself back to work eventually.
She told OK! magazine: "I am going back to work and when I do I'm lucky that my schedule allows me to ease myself back in.
"It'll be exciting but hard to leave Ella, even though I know Daniel will take care of her."

Kimberley Walsh has slammed "attention-seeking" Louis Walsh.
The 33-year-old singer has criticised the former 'The X Factor' judge after he recently branded her ex-Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Fernandez-Versini "irrelevant," saying he will stoop to any depths to make it into the news.
She ranted: "Louis will say whatever it takes to get him in the press and nothing surprises me. I don't really have much time for him. I don't owe him anything."
The music mogul originally managed Girls Aloud when they launched their career in 2002, but she said their relationship quickly turned sour and she no longer wants to have anything to do with him.
She continued: "If you have to be around him, you can get along with him, but if you don't have to see him then it's probably preferable. It's all attention-seeking, so you have to let it go over your head. He'd turn on anyone at any time if it meant it got him into the press."
The 'Jump' hitmaker added she reckons the 62-year-old judge will fade into obscurity now he has bowed out of the ITV singing competition.
She told Fabulous magazine: "He was just Simon's yes man. He did as he was told if it kept him his seat on the panel. He doesn't have any successful bands any more - 'X Factor' was the only thing that was keeping him out there, so hopefully there won't be any interest in what he's got to say now."
